My mom moved there a few months ago...the staff and Sheila ((the owner) are amazing..so caring and compassionate..the change in my mom is amazing..her health has improved so much..they make home cooked meals and its a family setting..the facility is clean and it reflects in the residents as there rooms are clean and so are they and they all have smiles...its like having family care for your loved one!

My husband just moved to Country Acres in Eaton Rapids, and he's doing well. He's in assisted living, and is also receiving hospice care through another provider. We've seen him and he's getting lots of love. The visiting isn't as restricted there, so his son has been able to come in to see him. We have our bible meetings on Zoom, and his son has gone on Sunday mornings and shared the bible meetings with him on his computer. He's getting lots of love and lots of good care. They're really very caring, and they're right on the ball. Country Acres has skilled people, and they are able to meet his needs beautifully. They saw that one style of the hospital bed wasn't really working well for him, so they got him another hospital bed that's an air mattress that takes the pressure off so that he won't get bedsores. They're right on top of everything, and making sure that he's as comfortable as he can be. The lady that runs it, according to her card, actually lives downstairs, so she's always available no matter what the residents need. They're respecting his wishes not to have to go out and be with the group of people because he can't really talk. He can understand he's cognizant, but he really can't communicate. Their aides are absolutely wonderful with him and his children. They're very attentive and I like that they communicate with me because my husband can't tell me the different things, and their aides are really there on the job. They're doing a great job, and they let me know, which gives me peace of mind. I like to take him extra food, different foods that I know that are his favorites, and they let me do that. They put personal care into their meals too; I wouldn't mind eating there. The place is very comforting. When you pull up and you walk into the main common area, everything is just so clean and friendly.

I was horrified at how this facility smelled as we entered the biuilding . The lack of care to the residents was almost inhumane. The staff onsite were inattentive, aloof and clearly not compassionate towards the residents. The head RN incharge, which I believe to be the owner, was acting rather strange as we were asking questions about the facility. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth. The facility was not very welcoming nor did they appear to be concerned about the residents quality of life. I would not recommend this Adult Home Care Facility to anyone, including my enemies.! They should be audited by the State of Michigan!

Country Acres Adult Home is very good. They are well staffed. It is very clean. We really like it. They take very good care of my mom. It is a smaller facility, but it is very bright and cheerful. The care probably impressed me the most. They should probably have activities.
