My brother-in-law moved into the Above and Beyond Care Assisted Living Facility. What I liked about it was that it was set up as a private home because my brother-in-law lived in a group home for many years, and I needed to find something similar, so it wasn't too much of a shock for him to adjust. It's a house, and they have four other residents. It's close-knit. It gives you the impression of family, and that was the biggest thing: it makes you feel like they're at home as opposed to a facility. The other thing is that they provide everything, and the price is very reasonable. They have their nursing staff, doctors, and CNAs. Everything is all in one package, which soaked me. They keep us posted every time they have activities and everything. She'll send me pictures of how he's doing, how he is reacting, and their little activities. So that makes me feel good that he's being taken care of and they're keeping him busy. They served all the meals plus snacks. I went there during the middle of the day, and they were serving lunch to the residents, and it was a decent meal. It's nothing out of the box. I went there unannounced and did that on purpose. The house was clean. I even said I needed to go to the bathroom, and it was clean. They had everything in the bathroom that they needed.
