"I like The Belnor Senior Residences very much. I like the amenities, the property highlights, and even the units. The kitchen was open and spacious. I like the floor plan, but they don't have enough closet space. The other features as far as the property is concerned, the laundry space and the fact that they have a community garden and greenhouse, I liked everything about it, even the reserved parking for the residents to make sure that we have enough parking. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The tour was very thorough. My questions were answered because there were just two features that I was interested in: the kitchen and the closets. You have to prepare your own meals."

"I saw The Lewis Apartments. They were excellent. They had very nice apartments. Actually, they would have been my first choice if my father were looking for an apartment, but he told me that he would prefer to have a room. They hadn't confirmed the tour with me at all, so it was not a good day for them. They were having internal meetings that day, but the person there gave me more of a general tour since I had come, and what she was able to show me was very nice. There was a lot of space and a lot of different and separate areas that the residents could use, like a party room and things of that nature. The residents themselves would organize outings. The facility itself was nice, clean, and roomy. The staff was very cordial. She spent her time explaining things to me. She gave me information on how it was run. They're affordable, and they will help you with acquiring funds if necessary, which makes it even more affordable."

"My mother moved to Cogir of West End Alexandria's memory care. It's a very beautiful community. The attendance of the nurses is very helpful, and the support staff is very supportive. The director is very welcoming and very friendly. The buck stops with him. He takes action immediately if you need something. I haven't had a complaint, but in my experience of trying to get what my mother needed, I can see that he's very receptive and quick to implement what it was that she needed. The staff he gave me to deal with was also very receptive and very professional. I'm very pleased with them. My mother's room is good. I've seen the food and the menu, and they look very healthy. They have activity after activity. Every hour, they're changing and doing something with the people. They take field trips, art sessions, and music sessions. They do let the residents watch TV, but it's not a situation where they're sitting in front of the TV all day. When they watch TV, it's usually a movie in the evening. They don't have the time to watch TV during the day because they're moving them around to different activities."

"I toured Potomac Place Assisted Living and Memory Care. The management was really good. The grounds were well-kept. The people who lived there seemed to enjoy it. They had good amenities like how they take them out to different activities and things like that. The woman who helped us was informative and friendly. My mom liked the food. The place was clean. They had a wide variety of different rooms from smaller to larger rooms, and it was affordable as well. That was one big thing. It was the most affordable place out of all of them."

"I toured Golden Rule Plaza. I like that it was convenient to a lot of places that I could get to, like close to my church and grocery shopping. Also, the place was very nice. It was up-to-date. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. The structure is very sturdy and clean. The layout was very nice, and everything was very roomy. I felt like it was kind of bright and cheery."

"I went to House of Lebanon, and I spoke with the property manager who gave me a tour. They were still working on the unit that I looked at. She gave me the application and everything to fill out. There were two more in the building that they were working on. She said they would be available for showing like mid-September, because I told her that I wanted to see those as well before making a final decision. They had very nice, big, very spacious rooms. They had new cabinets and new appliances. The lady was very nice. I highly recommend her. It was very warm and very inviting. I felt really at home when I went there. I said I could really see myself here, so I really pray that it goes well, because I really like it. The apartments have everything in there. You have a full kitchen and a dishwasher. They have washers and dryers. They have a multi-purpose room you could use for entertaining or something, which is real big. They have parking and a patio area to sit out, like a little atrium. There's a lot of things about it I like. It's not very decorative. It's an old school they renovated, but it's clean."

"The rooms are very spacious! I am looking for a 1 bedroom for just myself. I don’t want a lot of space, but rooms are great sizes. The area has almost everything you need shopping, dinning, church, entertainment, home improvement supplies,metro and parking. At the time I visited the building was quiet, I’m sure there are times when it’s not. But I live inside my apartment. That doesn’t bother me. I like the apartment. I’m still looking but this may be it!!! Take the tour!!!"

"I found the Paragon Assisted Living Potomac House Communities for my father. It's a group home. He moved in and he loves it -- the best place he's ever lived. This was perfect for him. The staff is great, my father feels very special there, it's very small, only eight residents, so it's very individualized. It's like they really care. He has the same, consistent people all the time. They have a chef who comes in every day and prepares the food. It's a brand-new facility, it's not even a year old. It's well-maintained. They clean the room every day. They have nice, big, open hallways. They have minimal activities, and they could probably do better for people who have the ability to do stuff. They're a great alternative to a bigger facility."

"My mom moved into Resilient Care Assisted Living. We chose them because the people who were there with them gave them the attention and care, and they did activities with them. They had a great selection of food. They made the food from scratch for the people living there. It is in good condition. Everything was there, and I was very happy and satisfied with them. They made sure that their patients got medical care. They made sure that the physicians showed up there to check on all the patients. Her apartment is spacious and comfortable. They make sure that she gets out and walks. They play games, dance, sing, and do many different things."

"I will move into Harmony at Enterprise. My son looked at it first, and he liked it. So, he took me to see it. Everybody was friendly, and I liked the facility. I like the apartment, and the way it's set up. I have a wheelchair because I'm an amputee. So, it's easy to get around. It's great. Everything is nice, and the staff is very friendly. You can sit outside, either front or back. Plus, my apartment has a balcony. They have a theater. Everything I would want, they have it. They have transportation where they take you shopping, and they have activities."
