What I like best about Highlandtown Plaza Co-op is its location. There's a shopping center across the street, and it's close to bus lines. The staff does what they can to try to get things to operate according to the house rules. Some people do their own cooking here; some (like myself) get food through Meals on Wheels or go to restaurants around the place. There's even one across the street. They are opening up the activities again as for the past two years, they were shut down. They have game nights and Zumba. They are now setting up a walk program. We also have three courtyards, where they have cookouts. They are on the verge of renovating the place shortly, like painting, remodeling the apartments, and making some changes. We have an outside vendor for cleaning and we have what's called a floor representative that you can go to if you have a problem in your apartment. You present that problem to them, and then they'll look into it and correct it as needed. I think no matter where you live, there are always going to be certain problems since you're dealing with different people with different personalities and attitudes. You need to adjust to that. To me, this place is average.
