Montclair Park Assisted Living is the best place I have found in the Shreveport area. They're just great. Mom is already a resident there. They're real apartments, and they're all great. The staff is fantastic. She's only been there a couple of weeks. They have a chapel and a garden, and they have live music daily. They have a movie theater. They have transportation. They bring them to doctor's appointments and you can meet them there. If you can't make it, they'll take them to the doctor's appointments and then take them back. The building is beautiful. They've got two lakes with swans. It's fantastic. The activities are great. They are animal friendly there as well.

Both my parents passed away back in the spring, but I had my mother at Montclair Park Assisted Living & Chateaus at Montclaire Memory Care Center. She was out there for a couple of weeks. We like the location. The care I think she got was better than I expected as far as somebody being with her all the time. She was a fall risk and they watched her constantly during the day and I liked that. I liked the way it was decorated. The scenery was pretty around it, too, and she had lots to look at, and the rooms were nice and big and had plenty of space for her. She was in memory care. It was very homey. We were allowed to bring in all our own stuff. It was one big open space, and it was plenty of room for the bed, and chairs, and she had a TV. I liked that about it. My mother wasn't there that long, but I got to see some of the activities. I know they played games with them in the mornings, like bingo and stuff like that. They had movie days where they could go like once a week or so to watch movies, and they did crafts with them and stuff just trying to keep them occupied and busy. I have not tried the food, but my mother seemed to like it very well. My mother didn't get her medicines ordered when she came from the hospital and went out there to live. So for probably almost a week, she didn't get her medicines, and I was never really given a reason why even though I talked to the head nurse a couple of times. I was never really told why she missed her medicines. I think that was a very important part of the care process, more important than the food and the activities, and so I had a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth about the whole process. She wasn't there but about two weeks and went back to the hospital and then passed away after that. I've kind of tried to just walk it all out so I didn't have to think about it.

I went to Montclair Park Assisted Living. It was well managed. They have anything a person would need. It didn't have the feel of a nursing home. It's more like a community. The staff was professional and had a caring attitude. They offered a nice variety of activities. I saw the dining room. know you have food options, like you would in a restaurant.

Montclair Park Assisted Living is really nice. Everybody is friendly and you get all the help you need. We have a real nice dining area that's like a restaurant, and the food is always good. They've got a lot of activities going on. There's an exercise room if you need it, a game room where they play different games, movies once a day, and all that kind of stuff. The room is really nice and has a really nice living room, bedroom, walk-in closet, and walk-in shower. They also have a pond outside that has ducks and swans, and I would take my wife on her wheelchair and take her around the pond once or twice a day.

Montclair is a nice place. My relative's room is like a little apartment with a bedroom and a bathroom, a little living area, and a little kitchenette. They provide the meals and have a nursing staff that comes in through an outside entity to give medication, but he has an aide that’s with him 24/7. They have exercise, church, and a variety of activities. He said the food is great.

Montclair Park is very close to where we live. They’re especially good with Alzheimer’s patients and offer assisted living and memory care. They communicated with us regularly, took very good care of my mom, and gave her a lot of love. This place was recommended to us by a friend who had her parent there, and she was very pleased with them. I liked that we could just walk in there.

My 90 year old mother was very hesitant about moving from her home. Montclair Park has been a God send. They really helped us during the transition into her new apartment. The staff is caring, food is wonderful, and she truly enjoys the many social opportunities. The grounds are beautiful, mother loves sitting outside by the pond and watching the swans. It is so easy to get mother to her doctor appointments with Montclair's handicap bus and van. You can rest well at night knowing your loved one is safe and sound.

My Father lived at Montclair for several years. He received great care. From the day we toured with the director till the day he passed away Renee was always there the staff was awesome. It starts at the top and she is a great example. When she walks the halls you feel her care her smile is contagious through out the building it us obvious her staff respects her and she respects and cares for them. If you ever need an assisted living for a loved one. You should go visit Montclair. I'm very confident you will choose it for your loved one. It's beautiful and has great care.

Montclair was okay, but wasn't as well-kept. They have a few more activities, but it wasn't as homey and inviting. The staff was nice but scarce. It didn't have that feeling that we needed. The rooms were small and they did not have a kitchenette as opposed to the other places. They have a theater room, they have their own chapel, and I'm sure they had other activities, too. I know they have bingo, they have singing group, and a piano player would go over there. But it's just not quite the feeling that we have with other places. They probably need more staff.

The director of this facility is wonderful. I believe that if you start with the best at the top, then that will trickle down to even the most menial job. On the whole, my family has been very pleased with Montclair. My aunt has all she needs and if there is a time when her sitters are not available, then the staff at Montclair are always there to help. Sometimes the response time is a little slow, especially on weekends but I feel totally comfortable having my relative there. The building itself is very nice and well kept. The courtyard is really lovely and if it's not too hot outside, the residents really enjoy sitting outside. There are swans that everyone loves as well as a large aquarium and a friendly parrot. It is a pet friendly facility so my aunt has a neighbor with a small dog but this has not been a problem. The only complaint my aunt has had is with the food. It is hard for her to no longer be able to prepare her own meals and she is still getting used to her favorite dishes being prepared in a different manner than she is used to. Overall the food is good, just not spectacular.

Residents interact with others, can cone and go as they please, and enjoy having their personal furnishings. The residents have transportation provided for outings. Meals are served in an elegant dining room or they can be delivered to the residents. Regular entertainment is scheduled and the grounds and facilities are well maintained.

The Montclair is very special to my family. I have two grandmothers from each side of my family living there along with a grandfather(who was in memory care) who just recently passed away. They provide 3 nutritious meals a day there with a full menu selection. My family and I can go dine my grandmothers while enjoying the courtyard view of flowers and swans. The Montclair provides emergency calls in each room, transportation for any needs their residents have, handyman and maid service, along with pet care, and social activities. They even have a beauty shop which my grandmothers love going to!The staff always greets you with a smile and provides wonderful care to my grandmothers and the rest of their residents. The Montclair gives both my grandmothers a happy living environment to enjoy for the rest of their life and gives them the opportunity to live close to their loved ones!

This facility is wonderful, well-run and my grandmother is really pleased with her arrangements. She initially was apprehensive about the move but the staff worked with her to make sure her rooms felt like a true home. Everyone has been so accommodating of our large family visiting and letting us use common rooms for gatherings and Mimi has made some true friends there. We've been very pleased overall but specifically with the help, care and attention paid to my grandmother's ongoing medical issues. The staff instills such trust and confidence that even family members living outside of the Shreveport area are at ease with our grandmother being taken care of.
