"My mother moved into The Gables Assisted Living. I like the fact that I was out of the state and the director was willing to do a Facetime tour with me, an in-person tour instead of just sending me floor plans of the facility. She took the time to do a Facetime on our phone tour of the room, the dining room, and all of the amenities. So, she took the time, and she cared about me finding a safe place for my mother. I did not do an in-person until we moved in. The room looks nice. We moved her in on Saturday and everything was nice. And the things that like the little bitty things that we need, they were right on it. It's a fully furnished kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and microwave. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did one meal and it was late so we missed dinner, so they just had to fix us something. They were very nice and the service was great. The one meal that we did have was not the best, but they made something for us because we missed the main meal."

"I liked Brookdale Waterview Court. It was good. It had a good community spirit. Everybody was friendly. I knew a couple that lives there, and I stayed for their lunch and it was good. They had good lunches. The dining area was very neat, tidy, and clean. They gave me a menu of what they serve on certain days. They're very accommodating. Also, if you live there and you cannot come to the cafeteria, they will deliver. So they went over all that. The person who gave me the tour was very friendly and she answered all my questions. She informed me about what all the amenities were, and she gave me a good tour. This is on the top list of where I want to go. There's a library, an exercise area, and a beautician on staff."

"What I liked about my tour of Holiday Summerfield Estates was the size of the rooms. They were really nice and spacious. I liked the stuff they had there. I liked the way that the facility was laid out. The food was really good. All the people were really, really nice, and the residents were also very nice. It just had a really nice atmosphere. It was really nice. Everybody on the staff that I spoke to was also really nice. They had transportation, and they spoke a little bit about how far they go. I went to their gym. I think they could have a little bit more there because everything is just cardio. I would like it if they add a little more for resistance to keep my strength going. They said that the air conditioning keeps the whole place warm during the wintertime and cool during the summertime. The only thing that really bothered me was the odor; they couldn't get rid of it. It was the only thing that I didn't like."

"I live at Azalea Estates and I would not live anywhere else. On 10- 30-2012, almost 5 years ago, I made a decision to move into Azalea Estates after my wife passed away. The staff at Azalea Estates has been very good to me and my therapy dog, a Yorkshire Terrier named Java. The Director Lorrie Nunley helped me find him because I was suffering from depression shortly after I moved in, and we got him certified through the VA. as a registered therapy dog. She also helped me with filing for the VA benefit to help pay for most of my cost to live at Azalea Estates. They are always doing fun things to keep us entertained, they help me with my doctor appointment from making them to taking me to them. I have made so many friends living here , and I highly recommend this place, and when you come to Azalea Estates, you may see me out and about. "

"I moved to Cedar Hills in February of 2016, I love my little efficiency apartment, it is quiet and peaceful. I didn't have transportation to the grocery store when I first moved here. The apartment has a van that goes every Monday to local stores. I was thrilled at the friendly residents, the helpful staff and the many activities they provided here. I love the grounds around the building, there are flowers, roses gardens, flowering trees and many places to sit and read outdoors or just walk beneath the beautiful tall old trees. I am so glad I chose Cedar Hill as my new home, here in Shreveport, LA. "

"I toured several places in Shreveport/Bossier I really liked the looks and feel of this place. The people that lived there were laughing and having a good time. It really felt like a home, small and comfortable, We could see the lady preparing the lunch and it smelled wonderful. It was clean and all the employees were friendly and smiling. The administrator was compassionate and reassuring. Even though my sister and I realized that our Mother was past the assisted living level we were given some helpful advice on nursing home and who to speak with. We both wished that our Mother was so advanced in her disease. "
