"All the residents at Copper Creek Senior Living were out, active, and smiling. The place smelt nice. It just seemed like a wonderful place to live. They were doing a silent auction when I came in and they had a movie going in the movie theater. The residents were also watching a sports show in a different living area. They had popcorn going. It just seemed lively. I got to see the dining areas. There are multiple of them. So, they have a lot more options than just eating in the cafeteria. They always have food due to diabetes, which was important to me, and snacks in case their sugars are going low. It's where I wanted mom to go. I personally want to live there myself, too."

"Sagewood at Daybreak is absolutely beautiful. They have a lovely dining room. They are well-staffed, and they are very caring. They wanted to know his food likes and things he is interested in. They showed a lot of interest even though Dad is only going to be there for respite care. They wanted to know all these things to make his stay very comfortable, which I thought was really great. The rooms were all new, and the food was all healthy food. It was a very impressive place. "

"We moved my mother here. It is closer to us and brand new. It is an assisted living, but it also has an Alzheimer’s unit if need be. It is very nice and right on the park. The food is excellent. It is not quite large, but that is good. We chose it over the other place we visited because it is closer to family and a smaller community. It also has a good dining area, library, activities, and exercise rooms. They have outings and salon for hair. I will recommend them to others. "

"I know several people that live at The Abbington. It is newer. The rooms are clean and spacious. The dining area is a little bit more upscale than the other community. The food was great. I only met two staff members. They were very nice, very informative, and very open to answering all my questions. They have a tremendous activity schedule. Plus, the library and the senior center are directly across the street from the community, so residents have the added use of the library as well as the local senior center. It is also in very close proximity to downtown Heber where there are lots of new places to eat that are popping up everyday. They also have a nice path that goes through the facility, so you can go outside and walk around."

"I went to Spring Gardens Midvale. I liked that the rooms had tall ceilings, so they seemed spacious. It's a smaller facility. They only have capacity for 47 residents, and right now there are about 22, so they're only about half full. They recently went through an ownership change about a year ago, so they're trying to do updates and kind of improve the property. But the people that I talked with talked, one of the residents who was eating lunch and he said the food was just fantastic. Being a former chef, he said the food was just really good there. So that was a good comment. However, once you can no longer private pay, they do not accept Medicaid, then you would have to transfer to another facility. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and very accommodating. I think they had a couple of pieces of exercise equipment. They didn't have a gym. I think they also do some outings with them. They didn't offer as many of the religious services that the other place offered and maybe because they're still kind of small, but it was fairly easy to get to, and it was fairly close to the interstate."

"I loved Olympus Ranch; everything was nice and very clean. The staff and dining area were wonderful. They had pool, a reading room, and lots of activities scheduled. They would take you places you needed to go if you didn't have a car. "

"I toured Legacy Village of Sugarhouse. The building has around 10 floors and 5 of the floors are their facility. The views that they have were phenomenal. I didn't see a lot of amenities. The 1-bedroom apartment was on the small side, but large enough for a queen size bed, a dresser, and a nightstand. It has a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower. There's also an adequate size living room with a galley kitchen on one side that has a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. The staff who gave us the tour was very good. They have great indoor parking. The building was located right across all kinds of little shops and franchise restaurants."

"I'm living at St. Joseph's and I like it a lot. The food is great. They have Bingo, a lot of people watch the Utah jazz games on TV, and they have social hour on Fridays where they serve wine and beer. The staff is great, and they do everything I ask. Everything is good, it's pretty relaxing, and it's really quiet."

"We had a really good tour at Parklane. The place was very nice. The rooms were too small, but neat and clean. They also had a couple of two-bedroom option that seemed more suitable. The staff was informative and helpful. They had activities, like when they take people to the opera. They had people who were experts in the community come in and give talks. They had weekly grocery runs. They also had transportation for the residents. "

"Grovecrest Villas was fabulous and almost brand new. They have beautiful, large, sunlit common rooms, and a gorgeous library on the second floor. They have a hair salon, an exercise room, and a theater room. The rooms were larger than what you would see in the assisted care places, but they don't offer any sort of care at all. The rooms have washers and dryers, which is fabulous. It was one of my favorite places and it was inexpensive because the amenities were much less."

"It is a warm, friendly, facility. They care for the residence 24/7. The residence can participate in activities, or can enjoy the privacy of their own room. There are flower gardens and bird feeders to enjoy natures beauty. The hot tub and koy pond need some work. The LDS temple is just down the street. Mountain views are awesome. The CNAs and staff care about the residence. Meals are served at the dinning room table or in the rooms. Church is televised from the nearby ward. "

"We chose Avalon Senior Living Apartments because the price was very reasonable. It has a very nice exercise room, a library, a social gathering room, a games room, and an outside picnic area for barbecue. The corridors are really wide. The apartments are nice and spacious with fully equipped kitchens, and there's space for a washer and dryer. The staff seems really nice, helpful, and pleasant. They don't have too many organized activities though."

"Covington Senior Living was a really pretty place. They offered almost all of the same stuff as others but it seemed that they're somewhat new."

"Covington Senior Living looked very nice, and the people were very friendly. They have a long list of activities that you might enjoy, entertainment from time to time, and lectures (where people come in and have discussions). The place was very pleasing when you walked in. It's a newer one. They have courtyards and space to walk and sit. We went into some occupied apartments. One of them said that he really loved it there. We went into a one-bedroom, and it all seemed roomy. It is going to be a downsize, but I think it will be nice and cozy. The woman that took us around was really friendly. She knew the residents really well."
