Independent Living Communities in South Jordan, UT

"We chose Sagewood at Daybreak because it was very open with lots of lights. My mother wanted something that was bright and had lights. It's also close to the temple, and they will take my mother or my father to the temple when they want to go. They have a woodworking shop that is very interesting for my father, and they have a salon onsite. The food isn't served during specific times; they're open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. My father likes to sleep in late, so he can get up and go eat when he wants to eat. The place is brand-new, very nice, and very well-kept. My mom said the people are very friendly, and that they remember her name."

"Spring Gardens Midvale is small and intimate. There are only 47 beds in the place, which is very small. Everyone seems to know each other. There are people with walkers and people without. It smelled clean. It was very clean and modern. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very well-informed. They also seemed to be kind of flexible. I was looking for respite care, and they had only one room designed for that. But the staff said, 'We could turn this or that room into a respite.' So they seemed quite flexible. The dining area looked intimate, clean, and nice. As I was leaving, somebody's granddaughter said, 'This is a nice place.' And I said, 'Thank you for telling me.' I feel good about my mom being there."

"Olympus Ranch had very good staff, it was very clean, and appeared to be a very good place. I have eaten in their dining area and the food was very good, but parking is a problem because it's very limited. We've also played music there several times. Their facilities looked lovely."

"We did visit The Wellington. I like this place. I like it. The staff was very friendly. Our guide was really knowledgeable. The place was clean and nice. They had a nice courtyard. The residents seemed happy and busy. "

"I'm living in St. Joseph Senior Living Apartments. It's really nice, I enjoy it, and I have my own apartment. I have a one-bedroom apartment, a kitchen, living room, and bedroom; everything is nice. You can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you wanna pay extra, but I just have my own. There's a refrigerator, microwave, oven, and that kind of thing. The staff is very nice and very friendly. Everything is clean and good."

"I have moved to Legacy Village of Sugar House and I'm very satisfied and pleased with the services and the way it's operating. It's working very well for me. We have bingo, fitness classes, all-day puzzle, movies, wine and cheese socials, dinner, lunch, and all other things. The place is very well-run and well-organized."

"The hallways at Park Lane Senior Living are the nicest and the apartments are the roomiest that I've seen. They have full kitchens and a small balcony in all the outside rooms, but not in the inside rooms. My sister lives there and they have a lot of activities for the residents such as exercise classes, Bridge playing, Rummy cube, reading clubs, and trips to different sites. The food is good, too. It's just that the person who was there did not make you feel welcome and that they want you."

"I looked at both the assisted living and independent living of Summerfield Retirement. It was really nice and there were some features on the independent side that I was really impressed with, like the emergency cords. The other communities didn't have that and it was much nicer. We had a one-one-tour, she explained everything, sat down with me, and showed me numbers. I just thought they were really thoughtful in the way they showed people around, and I thought it was really great. I thought they had a nice dining area in the assisted area, as well as an all day snack bar area where the residents can get food if they need it. They have in-house church services."

"We visited Solista Orem by Cogir. It was well organized. It has three floors. We looked at rooms on the first and third floors. The lady who took us on a tour was very good. She was very friendly and explained that they're going through a transition. Apparently, a new management has come in over the last couple of years, and they're making some modifications to the facilities. We like the rooms. They are very well laid out and large. We looked at studios, and they were large for a studio room. They seem to have a lot of amenities that we like. The original lady who was going to take us on the tour was out of town and won't be back for another week. However, the manager who took us was very good. We were introduced to several staff members. We didn't interact with them very much, but they were very good. It seemed very well kept. They had outdoor areas for the residents to gather, so that was very nice. They had a nice entertainment area. The dining area was very well laid out, too."

"Creekside Senior Living is gorgeous. There is a reason why that rate is the best assisted living in Utah. The activities are amazing, but my mom is an introvert, so it was a little too wow for her. It's wonderful for very active seniors who want to be involved. It's on the pricier end. A one-bedroom assisted living there is equal in cost to a studio memory care at the other place. The staff was wonderful. It gets rave reviews for good reasons. They have a little area in front that has snacks and space for you to visit with your loved ones 24/7. They do big, amazing decoration activities like Disney Week and things like that. They bring in amazing performances. They go all out. My daughter, who wanted to be a Disney princess, was like, "Oh my gosh, this is where I want to be." It's built on the property that used to be a nursery, and so the people who own the nursery turned it into this really lovely landscaped senior community. I don't know about the staff, but overall, it has the wow 5/5 factor except for affordability. I've just heard from others that the food is great."

"My Aunt is a resident because she has limited mobility and severe arthritis in her joints. She is happy and enjoys the scripture study and music classes they provide. The staff treat her with kindness and respect and she loves visiting with the other residents. She is well cared for and seems very happy when I visit her. Everyone seems content and well stimulated in the common areas. She recieves her medication on time and staff seem very willing to talk to her and help her with her concerns. She broke her leg four months ago and the nurses and careaids were very helpful and supportive of her as she recovered from her accident. Although I am very impressed with the care at this facility, I would like to see an increase in physical activity that caters to my aunt's special physical needs. Overall this is a wonderful facility and I would recommend it to friends and family for their loved ones. "

"The transition for my mother to Spring Gardens has been a very positive. It was a decision that was not made lightly, but has proven to be a blessing to our family. The staff have been great to communicate as we worked through routines to support my mom. The weekly activities keep her busier than she has been in years. A family member commented that the weekly schedule is like a cruise-ship, "always something to do". COVID-19 has made the move difficult for families and residents to visit. However, the efforts to keep communication options open have not gone unnoticed. I have appreciated the nursing staff and CNA's to assist my family in the burden of staying on top of Medicare, medical needs and all of the daily assists that help my mom live comfortably and independently. "

"I went to Carrington Court for a tour and was impressed with what I saw. The main building is divided into two sections: Assisted Living, and Memory Care. I was able to visit both sides and I loved the atmosphere of both. There are large spaces where residents can come together and enjoy a different activities. In these places there were televisions and wii sets for the residents, and comfortable couches and chairs as well. The staff was exceptionally kind. As I was walking they all seemed to be smiling, as were the residents. I got a chance to look in one of the empty rooms for the residents and I was very impressed. The room was neither dull nor cramped, and it seemed fit for caring for someone with any condition. I got to meet some of the heads of staff for food, laundry, and various other departments. They all seemed to be experienced and friendly, always stopping to shake a hand or give a smile. Over all, my short time in the facility was a very positive one. I know if I needed assisted living that Carrington Court would be getting a call from me. "

"The facility is quaint and cozy, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and upbeat. Staff works hard to attend to the needs of the residents, in a timely manner. Meals are healthy, nutrisous, and tasty, with a lot of variety in the menu, and homemade and fresh. Lots of activities, and social interactment is provided to the residents. I'm 100% satisfied. "
