"I like that Cedarwood at Sandy is going to be close to family. Their food is excellent and their two-bedroom apartment is very large. They also have little cottages. Their rooms were the largest two-bedroom ones we saw. The upkeep was excellent. Their dining area was nice."

"My mother is in Spring Gardens Draper. They were very open and congenial to work with. We found a room that was a studio but seemed oversized, which made it convenient for her to set up with her furniture. We did add a wardrobe closet for her in addition to the closet that was there, and that works well. She gets attentive assistance whenever she requests it to help her go to the bathroom or to take her down to the dining room for dinner. They are consistent in cleaning her room every week. They have daily entrees, which are unique, but they also have a side menu that you can order from at any time which includes hamburgers, salads, cheese sandwiches, alternate menu choices if someone doesn't like what the main course is. I think the activities are excellent."

"I went to Spring Gardens Midvale. I was just very impressed with it. I had a good feeling when I walked into it. The staff was amazing, so kind, helpful, and friendly. The first time I saw it I didn't think I needed to even look any further, because I didn't think it could get much better than that. I liked the size of the rooms and just how everything was laid out. I couldn't find anything negative to say about it. They gave me a copy of their monthly menu. I have not eaten there, but it looked like it had some very good choices and variety."

"We like everything about Sunrise of Sandy. They seemed to have a really nice facility. They have nice decor and furnishings and tons of activities. The amount of care and levels of care that they offer, like you can get more if you need it or less if you need it. We didn't really have much we didn't like. The lady who gave the tour was super, super helpful and very knowledgeable. The building was very clean and we liked the structure. There are railings on every wall. The rooms were really nice. It felt like a really homey place."

"My dad moved to Legacy House of Taylorsville. They are very nice. They are very inclusive, and they are very hospitable. It's clean. The atmosphere is good. All the staff are nice and sweet. I've seen the food and it looks good. They have a ton of stuff going on for the month. You can have a dog come. They have bingo. They have card games. They have all sorts of stuff going on all the time, and they include everybody."

"Escalante at Coventry was fine. It seemed very friendly, and the rooms were nice. Very friendly staff, adequate rooms, and a friendly atmosphere. The menu looked great, I didn't sample it, but the dining area was very nice, with outdoor views."

"The people who work at BeeHive Homes of Draper are very caring and accommodating. They have gone out of their way to make my mom feel at home. Just great service. Absolutely wonderful. It's only been four days, but I know my daughter was there today in the activities. A group came and got my mom and they did exercises together, so I know it's functioning. They have music people come in and play for the residents, which is lovely. Yesterday, my daughter-in-law went to visit my mom and the sweet lady who runs the kitchen saw that she was there and she said, "Let me serve you and your mom trout in your room." They had a fish lunch together in my mother's room. That's really above and beyond I would think. My mom's very happy with the meals. I've certainly seen other facilities that are bigger and newer, but I'm happy with what she has. The day we were moving them in the staff came and helped us like carry boxes. The man who does all the repairs came in and hung TVs and hung things and made sure everything was absolutely the way my mom wanted it. I just received such personalized attentiveness as we moved Mom in. I'm so impressed with those people. The repairman who manages everything is wonderful. He's just a marvelous man. There's assisted living in one building and memory care in another. It's very small. There are only 16 residents, so it's a wonderful family kind of a feeling. Everybody knows everybody and it's a very intimate home. I was looking for something like that, and I'm so glad we found it."

"My mother is in Cottonwood Creek. They've got very vibrant residents and staff, very caring staff, and beautiful rooms. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy onsite, which is very convenient, and a lot of great activities for my mother to attend. She really likes bingo, and she enjoys dinner and a movie. I spoke with the activities director and told her that my mom likes to play a card game called Uno, and so they plan on incorporating that into their activity schedule for her. She loves the food. She's only been there a couple of days, but the variety was really delicious and they offered vegetables, which she doesn't cook herself. The fact that there are vegetables and nutritious meals is very much a plus. The facility is very nice. Compared to other places that I looked at, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very nice. They have patios, which are nice, but not really a very nice walking area because it's quite small."

"This place is amazing, and I’m so glad my dad is here. The staff are so friendly and kind, and the head administrator guy named John does a great job all around. My mother was in several of these facilities, but none to this high of quality and care. My dad loves this place too, which means more than my opinion of it."

"The Wellington was a very active community. It was a little bit older, and I didn't care too much for the bathroom doors, they were pretty skinny up by the front door. They had a patio that you could go out to. They had a lot of activities on their schedule. When you walk in, you walk into the front desk and then you walk down to a nice private reading room. They had a pool table room. It was just really nice. The people there were nice, too. The staff was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful of what your needs were."

"The Charleston at Cedar Hills was my favorite place. They had very good food. They did serve us a meal there, and I thought the food was the top feature. The facility is very nice, not too big, not too small. There's a nice kitchen area for the residents to use if they want it. It has nice grounds. Seemed like the management was very experienced and had been there a long time, which appealed to me. They had a good nurse-to-patient ratio, which I thought was great. Of all the places we looked at, that was my particular favorite. They had a nice activity room. This place wasn't too big and wasn't too small, it's nice to have it right in the middle. It seemed great overall. They do have two-bedroom units with a walk-in closet. They don't have very many, but the ones that do have a walk-in closet are very nice. That's the only place we saw that had that. The interaction between staff and residents seemed to be very good. They have very good nurses who have been there a long time, so the staff stuck around, which I thought was impressive."

"My mom is at Sunrise at Holladay. I went and checked out a few, and that just seemed to be the nicest one. They offer mini-classes, and their activities are great. Food is good. My mom's room is just a studio right now; she is waiting for a one-bedroom. They have a fireplace, a nice dining room, an activity room that's nicely done, and they have an outdoor space where they can meet up, which is nice."

"Legacy Village of Sugar House is very clean. They offer a lot of amenities. The one-bedroom is very, very spacious, nice, and very clean. No marks on the walls. The carpets have been cleaned. There are awesome views and happier people. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist. It's almost brand new. It's like a skyrise apartment kind of place. It's really neat. They have a good-sized gym and a beauty shop with three different chairs to get your hair done. They offer everything."
