The Best Assisted Living Communities in Salt Lake County, UT

"Sunrise of Sandy was very nice. The staff, the cleanliness and the place itself was really nice. There were a lot about this place I really like. They seemed to have a lot of activities and people were joining in. They did have several community rooms for them. Their rooms were pretty spacious. They all have their own bathrooms and showers. The dining area was really nice. They would try to accommodate individuals on what they wanted to eat. Their food looked very good. Their chef seemed to be pretty good. "

"Legacy House is probably the best one we visited. The rooms were very nice. The dining area was very clean. The place was organized. This is the one that we have chosen. We chose them for the price and quality. "

"My husband is in Cedarwood at Sandy. I am overly pleased with the care. It's a beautiful facility. The rooms are great, the food is great, and the people working for them are just incredible. They're really caring. They'll break their backs trying to please everybody. It's an awesome facility. They have so many things going on. There's a lot of physical fitness, book clubs, and audible books on tape. The food is very good, but he doesn't like beef and red meat, and they serve a lot of that."

"Crescent Senior Living would be my second choice because my brother and sister-in-law could afford it. They have a big fish tank which my brother would love, and it's a newer place. I didn't like how it was decorated, but it was very spacious. Their garden area was huge. The people that live there weren't happy, and I don't know how long they stayed there. However, their food menu was good and nice. It was really well thought out. The apartments were like everybody else. They're not that huge. They have a little kitchen and a living area, but I wasn't that impressed."

"I toured while looking for my grandmother. I was impressed with how friendly the staff was, and how happy the residents looked. "

"My husband moved to Valencia at Draper. They're taking care of him and giving him the medication when he needs it and all that kind of stuff. It's just worked out. They serve three meals a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a little courtyard in the memory care unit. It's small, but it's sufficient."

"My mother moved here. We chose it because it was closer to our home, and when we went to view it the guy that we worked with was really nice and answered our questions. We were able to go in and look at their facility. It was very nice and very clean. The rooms were fine, and we brought her furniture in and everything. It's large enough, she has a bed, a dresser, and a chest of drawers. It's definitely a nice size room. The staff seems very nice, and she's been very happy with the food. They have a lot of activities, they have a beauty shop, and other things like that for her as well. She gets her hair done there, and that was important to us because she wants to get her hair done every week. When I was moving her stuff in the staff was very accommodating and very helpful. She's happy, and that's been a great plus."

"I was quite impressed with Capitol Hill Senior Living. It was very nice. Jason was very helpful. He explained everything. He took me on a tour of the entire facility. It was quite lovely. I was impressed with both the memory care and the assisted living part. They showed me everything. They showed me all the activities, the beauty shop, the dining room, and the music room. The rooms were private."

"I went to Spring Gardens Draper. It was good. It was a nice community. The staff member who gave the tour were very nice and very knowledgeable of the place. The rooms were nice. I think it's a newer building and I think they're taking good care of it. The dining area was a good area for where they had to eat. It was nice."

"We're looking towards a move into Sagewood at Daybreak. I've seen it several times for my mom. They have done a really nice job of getting a community that can allow for care across the continuum of an aging and ailing senior. They have independent living and assisted living. They even have advanced assisted living. If a person didn't want to go into a memory care unit, they could still have access to the activities of assisted living. Then they have the full blown memory care. My mom is kinda on that trajectory now. They took quite a bit of time to assess my mom's needs before we even went to the facility. I thought that was impressive. Their marketing people are among the most professional I've ever met in any industry. They have followed up and they kept us updated regarding COVID-19 restrictions. They have invited us to community events as soon as they're cleared to do those types of things. They have a restrictive policy for guests at the facility and they clearly communicated changes to that policy as dictated by the state of Utah. Overall, it has been a very impressive experience so far. Their dining room is still closed because of COVID-19, but they have a chef on site and we've heard good things about the food."

"This is a small facility, sixteen resident capacity, and the facility itself is not overly beautiful or anything, but this facility has a lot of heart. I've rarely seen a facility that puts as much emphasis on family then this one does. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate family visits, even if they aren't at the best times. They also invite family to all the parties and get togethers and encourage family participation. I've never visited this facility without seeing at least two or three different residents with visitors at any given time, and they're always talking and laughing and generally just having a good time. I also always see children there visiting their grandparents or great grandparents. They literally just light the place up. "

"My wife has moved into Creekside Senior Living. I've been here every day since she moved in. The thing I like best is the facility itself is first class. It is very well-maintained, very clean, and very inviting. And the staff over here acts like a team. Everything just runs so seamlessly. And the level of care is just first rate. They have a definite concern for my wife. Everybody knows her by first name. There's always somebody here to help; it's immediate. It's a very seamless operation as far as the staff goes. The food is terrific. I did not expect the level and the quality of the food in a care facility like we have here. It is terrific. The structure of the building is wonderful. The memory care unit is very, very secure. It is well maintained, very brightly lit and so forth that you feel very secure here. It's a top-notch facility. They offer a variety of activities. My wife is not actively involved in most of those activities because of her Alzheimer's, but there's always something going on here. Her room is very wide and open. No obstacles. It's very comfortable. This was the only one we toured. We were very impressed. And we also picked up some unsolicited referrals from other people who gave us some very positive reviews, so we figured this was the place."
