"Avamere at Mountain Ridge was very good. The staff's interaction with the residents and with us was very good. The size and the features of the rooms were very good, too. They have internet connections. They have everything you need. The upkeep was very good. We went by the dining area and it was very nice and spacious."

"Legacy House of Ogden was very good. However, they didn't have a lot of space outside to be able to walk around, which is an important aspect for my father. The room that they showed me was probably the best of the ones that I toured yesterday. They were very impressive. If I was moving into an apartment, it seemed like an apartment that I would want to move into. Unfortunately, the person who normally does the tours wasn't available, but they had a good secondary person who was able to answer some of my questions. She was going beyond her actual capacity, so some of the questions that I had, particularly the important ones about pricing and things like that, she wasn't quite able to answer. The staff was unfortunately not quite as knowledgeable, but she did do a very good job of showing me around. The dining area was restaurant style, but it seemed rather small for the number of people who stayed there, so that was a little bit concerning for me. It seemed a little bit cramped and a bit small if you're having set meal times. For amenities, they had a dining hall and activity rooms. Their issue was that they didn't have much outside walking space and it's near the main road so it's kind of concerning. They have offsite activities. Again, what I noticed were standard things like being able to go to Walmart or eat out as well as visit places like the Train Museum and some local things that they're able to go to like monthly or so. "

"I liked that all the staff at PeachTree Place Assisted Living & Memory Care was friendly and helpful, and I thought their activity director did a good job at finding great activities for their residents. They have music performances, root beer float days, and chair exercises in some mornings. They have a hair salon, an ice cream parlor, and an activities room. They have a dining room that has a stage, and they have a piano and an organ."

"Cogir of Lotus Park was very nice. It had everything that was needed. I met several people that worked there, they all seemed really nice and interested in the people. It was very clean. They had rooms for respite care and one room was all furnished. Even though it was just a respite, they would do the laundry and have all the meals and snacks for them. They would give them the medications and everything that they needed throughout the day. They have a separate memory care, and then another part for other residents. Their memory care had their own place, eating place, activities, and everything. They were all separate and locked away from others so that people couldn't just walk out. It seemed like they had plenty of staff there too. Just in the memory care I ran into at least five or six people there. They seemed to have plenty of staffing. The staff that I talked to seemed to be quite nice. They seemed to know what they were doing and they were busy taking care of people, but still took the time to say hello. They had a nice layout. They had the activities and then the dining room and then the hallways where people had their own room, so it was laid out nicely."

"I was quite impressed with Capitol Hill Senior Living. It was very nice. Jason was very helpful. He explained everything. He took me on a tour of the entire facility. It was quite lovely. I was impressed with both the memory care and the assisted living part. They showed me everything. They showed me all the activities, the beauty shop, the dining room, and the music room. The rooms were private."

"Sarah Daft Home is a small place. They seem to know each other there. It's very home-like. My husband's room was kept clean. He was well taken care of and he liked the food very much when he was there. The dining room was a big open room with tables for four people. The surroundings were very pleasant. It had a nice view from the windows. The dining room doubles as a social room at times, but they also have a separate social room. Then they have people that come in for entertainment. They played bingo, had a van that took people on outings, and women who came in to cut their hair."

"I toured The Auberge at North Ogden. The residents were associated with each other a lot, and their activities were much better than most of the other places. They gave us a lot of interesting options and they worked with us to try and get a reasonable price. The rooms were adequate. The upkeep of the place seemed good. They're undergoing some reconstruction, but that's understandable. What I liked the most was the staff and the way they treated the residents. Outside, they have a patio, and they have some geese there."

"The care provided by Quail Meadows has been exceptional! The entire team provides loving and corellated care so every need is met! The staff is friendly, warm, and goes above and beyond to make sure their residents are safe, feel heard, and are loved! Drew the administrator has been extremely supportive and has been there every step of the way! I cannot say enough good about this place!!"

"The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff are exceptionally caring, and show love and concern. Meals are full of nutrition and healthy. Environment is warm and loving."

"Legacy Village of Sugar House is very clean. They offer a lot of amenities. The one-bedroom is very, very spacious, nice, and very clean. No marks on the walls. The carpets have been cleaned. There are awesome views and happier people. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist. It's almost brand new. It's like a skyrise apartment kind of place. It's really neat. They have a good-sized gym and a beauty shop with three different chairs to get your hair done. They offer everything."

"My mom is at Sunrise at Holladay. I went and checked out a few, and that just seemed to be the nicest one. They offer mini-classes, and their activities are great. Food is good. My mom's room is just a studio right now; she is waiting for a one-bedroom. They have a fireplace, a nice dining room, an activity room that's nicely done, and they have an outdoor space where they can meet up, which is nice."

"The Wellington was a very active community. It was a little bit older, and I didn't care too much for the bathroom doors, they were pretty skinny up by the front door. They had a patio that you could go out to. They had a lot of activities on their schedule. When you walk in, you walk into the front desk and then you walk down to a nice private reading room. They had a pool table room. It was just really nice. The people there were nice, too. The staff was very knowledgeable and very thoughtful of what your needs were."

"My mother is in Cottonwood Creek. They've got very vibrant residents and staff, very caring staff, and beautiful rooms. They have physical therapy and occupational therapy onsite, which is very convenient, and a lot of great activities for my mother to attend. She really likes bingo, and she enjoys dinner and a movie. I spoke with the activities director and told her that my mom likes to play a card game called Uno, and so they plan on incorporating that into their activity schedule for her. She loves the food. She's only been there a couple of days, but the variety was really delicious and they offered vegetables, which she doesn't cook herself. The fact that there are vegetables and nutritious meals is very much a plus. The facility is very nice. Compared to other places that I looked at, the rooms are spacious, clean, and very nice. They have patios, which are nice, but not really a very nice walking area because it's quite small."
