Moving our grandparents into assisted living was one of the hardest decisions our family has had to make. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff made it clear that this place is led with compassion, patience, and genuine care. The administrator (Jano) sets the tone for the entire facility. You can tell immediately that he leads with love and empathy. One thing that stood out to me was the photo of his 90-year-old grandmother on his wall. It’s a small detail, but it speaks volumes about the heart behind the leadership here—he understands that the people living here are someone’s grandparents, just like his. That mindset shows in how the entire facility operates. A special thank you to the nurse (Brecklyn) who took the time to make sure my grandmother was comfortable and truly cared for before her transfer. She didn’t rush the process and made sure every detail was handled so my grandmother felt safe and supported during a stressful transition. She stepped up in a big way to help care for her when the facility she was leaving failed to do so. I also want to recognize Linda, who went above and beyond for my grandfather during a very emotional move. She showed incredible patience and kindness, taking the time to talk with him and help him feel welcome during such an emotional moment for our him. Her compassion meant more than she probably realizes. And now, she still takes time to say hello every-time she sees him and my grandma. It’s not for show, it’s who she is and it’s all the difference. What also stands out about this facility is the culture among the staff. Everywhere you go, people take the time to say hello, smile, and acknowledge everyone they meet. That warmth makes the building feel less like a facility and more like a community, a home. Thank you to the entire team for caring not just for residents, but for moms/dads, grandmas/grandpas and their families as well. Knowing our grandparents are surrounded by people who truly care brings our family a great deal of comfort. Side Note: When touring assisted living facilities, talk to residents and any staff you can find. At Spring Garden there was an overwhelming difference among those we visited. Residents at Spring Garden were alive. When you visit places, you’ll know what I mean and you’ll see the difference. They were happy - and at the end of the day, that’s really what matters. I’m super appreciative to the families and residents of Spring Garden that took the time to visit with us - you truly made the situation more positive and reassuring than I could’ve hoped

My friend likes how small Spring Gardens Midvale is and the number of people who came up and talked to her. I think if she did not think that she would need the memory care, she would have chosen that. They were very nice. I would give cleanliness a five. It was just an overall smaller facility, which appealed to my friend a little bit more. I think she'll do better in a larger facility when she comes out of her shell because she's a very gregarious person, but she's been kind of pulling away from people. They worked around my food issues, so I appreciate that. My friend was one of those people who eats all day, and they were very good about boxing up her leftovers for her.

I went to Spring Gardens Midvale. I was just very impressed with it. I had a good feeling when I walked into it. The staff was amazing, so kind, helpful, and friendly. The first time I saw it I didn't think I needed to even look any further, because I didn't think it could get much better than that. I liked the size of the rooms and just how everything was laid out. I couldn't find anything negative to say about it. They gave me a copy of their monthly menu. I have not eaten there, but it looked like it had some very good choices and variety.

Spring Gardens Midvale is small and intimate. There are only 47 beds in the place, which is very small. Everyone seems to know each other. There are people with walkers and people without. It smelled clean. It was very clean and modern. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very well-informed. They also seemed to be kind of flexible. I was looking for respite care, and they had only one room designed for that. But the staff said, 'We could turn this or that room into a respite.' So they seemed quite flexible. The dining area looked intimate, clean, and nice. As I was leaving, somebody's granddaughter said, 'This is a nice place.' And I said, 'Thank you for telling me.' I feel good about my mom being there.

I went to Spring Gardens Midvale. I liked that the rooms had tall ceilings, so they seemed spacious. It's a smaller facility. They only have capacity for 47 residents, and right now there are about 22, so they're only about half full. They recently went through an ownership change about a year ago, so they're trying to do updates and kind of improve the property. But the people that I talked with talked, one of the residents who was eating lunch and he said the food was just fantastic. Being a former chef, he said the food was just really good there. So that was a good comment. However, once you can no longer private pay, they do not accept Medicaid, then you would have to transfer to another facility. The staff was very helpful, very friendly, and very accommodating. I think they had a couple of pieces of exercise equipment. They didn't have a gym. I think they also do some outings with them. They didn't offer as many of the religious services that the other place offered and maybe because they're still kind of small, but it was fairly easy to get to, and it was fairly close to the interstate.

I was very impressed with Spring Gardens Midvale. The rooms were very nice. They had a little kitchenette with a small fridge and a microwave, and a little countertop with a sink. There was a bed, a chair, and a small couch. I liked the way the bathrooms were arranged to the bed. It was easier for the resident to get up and get into the bathroom in the evening than have to go around the room to get to it. It was a small facility with not a lot of residents, which was what I liked about it the most. The furnishings were nice. Lindsey, the tour guide, was fabulous. She gave me a couple of different options that she thought would work for my husband. They had a garden area for them to go out to, and they had an outdoor fireplace. They had a little bistro that they could go to throughout the day for a snack if they wanted one.

Spring Gardens Midvale didn't know that I was coming. Although the front desk was very attentive, she didn't know that there was a tour. There was no management there, no executive staff or anyone to take us. One of the techs gave the tour. So, she took time away from resident care to give me a tour and she didn't know any information about the sizes of the rooms or what rooms were available. The room itself was very nice and very clean, but the size wasn't what we were looking for. The atmosphere was kind of nice, but it kind of smelled too.

My friend is here. It's a beautiful place, it's new, and she loves it. She is also close to her old friends, so she's really happy there. She's been there since February 3, and she's doing really, really well. She has a bedroom, a front room, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom. They have all kinds of activities during the day, like watching movies, playing bingo, and playing other games. They have church activities, too. She goes down every day to have her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well. It's a great place.
