"Quail Meadow was small, a little expensive, and really clean. We liked that is was small since the staff could get to know the people and their particular needs. They were very helpful. They had a group therapy session and ladies doing exercise with the therapist. They had days where people could go shopping and were serving three meals a day. "

"My Father-in-Law lived at Seasons for a year and five months. The staff is wonderful! They were all so loving & attentive with him and they were so quick to take card of anything that he (or we) needed. The facility is well kept, very clean & feels like a real home. They have several activities for the residents to participate in daily, but they don't ever force residents to participate if they don't want to. We loved that it is a smaller facility so the residents get more one on one care & more attention than they would in a larger facility. We truly appreciate the care & love they showed to our dad. We continue to go visit there even though our dad has passed on, because we were able to become friends with so many of the residents & staff there. It is truly a wonderful place & we couldn't be more grateful for them in our time of need! "

"Chancellor Gardens at Clearfield is a really good place, but some of their night CNAs weren't very nice to my mom. In general, they're a very fine facility and very caring. There were just a couple of employees who didn't know how to treat my mom. The rooms are very nice and sufficient for her needs, and they try to keep it clean."

"We toured Legacy House of Park Lane. I was impressed with the facility and the care that they offer. We only met a couple of staff and they seemed nice. We had the guide that took us around and then the dining room staff and they all seemed very nice. We had lunch there. It was very good and had lots of choices. It was me and my brothers, and we all had something different, and we all liked it."

"My father is already in The Gables of Brigham City Assisted Living. They're a very clean place and they're one of our first choices. I'd rather go there than I would any of the other places available in Brigham, they're good people there. What I like about the whole thing is that the staff is very responsive. There are only 22 rooms in this place, as opposed to a hospital setting where they could get understaffed. I think they're just responsive to the needs and they've been really good. I have not tasted the food, but he has said that for the most part, it's good. There have been things that he doesn't like occasionally, but he doesn't complain about it at all so it's been good. The maintenance of the facility is fine. The only question I have is that he likes his window view, looking out to the West and the sunset, but the windows have been dirty and they've never had anybody come and clean them. So I think it's because of the help with the people they contract out, is what I've heard. But that's a minor complaint compared to the care he's been given. He has done a lot of the activities, he's gone on their bus trips, and he seems to enjoy what they offer. I think the value for money is quite reasonable compared to other places."

"Creekside Senior Living was very nice, new, and modern. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful with all the questions I had. The rooms were all very nice and looked very comfortable, and it looked like Mom could have all the amenities there to take care of herself. We were there about the time they had a carnival. They had people from the outside come in and entertain the guests. They had a piano there, which she likes to play. They had transportation and a small gym where she could walk on a treadmill/have physical therapy there, which was nice."

"I did a tour of Legacy House of Bountiful. They were very informative, and very kind. They answered our questions. It looks like for someone who needs assisted living, they provide a social network. They have an in-house doctor, and the apartments were nice and clean; I was impressed. They give you all the facts right up front; they give you a brochure with the breakdown of the costs, so you know exactly what you're looking at. It's a friendly environment. The staff all seems to know each other and know the residents. So, in particular, that one I like because they have a pet, which is a big plus for my dad. They're allowed to have dogs and they actually have a house dog that can go around. They have three different rooms. You can do a single bedroom, a double bedroom, or a studio, and you can also pick which floor you're on so you can keep costs down a little bit if you want to, but if you want to pay a little bit more for a nicer room, you can. The thing that really is important to me, is that the wheelchair can literally roll right into the shower. They have a microwave in the room, and if they want to keep snacks and warm them up, they can. If somebody were really, really sick, it may not be the place for them, but for someone who didn't have a lot of medical needs, I would rate it a five. I mostly interacted with the office manager, but she was great. On food, I didn't really get to taste any of it or really see it, but they have options for every meal, which I like. There are only certain things I was looking for, but for the guys looking for that, everywhere was very wheelchair accessible. There were elevators everywhere. It was clean, it was up kept. I think some facilities are a little bit newer, but that doesn't really matter to me. It was well cared for, and it was very accessible with a wheelchair. They had a really nice dining room, a nice theater room, and gym; they have these things that you would want."

"This is a nice facility. The area itself is a little questionable, but I've never heard of anything happening at this facility so I'm sure it's all right. When I visited, the staff seemed a little rushed, maybe a little stressed. But that did not stop at least one of them from helping a gentleman down the hall when he needed help, or for greeting a family of guests with smiles and questions when they came to visit their father and grandfather. These things, more than facility beauty and location make facilities wonderful and the residents feel loved. "

"My friend has been in Aspen for about a month. Everything seems to be fine. The meals are served on time and hot. What she likes about it is the temperature control is remotely controlled. You could stay in bed and adjust the temperature whereas in the others you have to get in the wheelchair and go over the other side of the room. This is just digital and very convenient. The room is just fine. It is an older facility and not as new as the others she has been in. But the staff is good. "

"Stoney Brooke of Eden was above average. The rooms were large. It's pretty much a standard assisted living facility with no frills. It's below average in terms of activities. This was a very basic assisted living home where the ratio of caregivers to residents was fairly high, so a lot of hands-on supervision and a lot of care is given. They're not categorized as a nursing home, but they function a lot like a nursing home. They have a common dining area that accommodates all the residents at the same time, but nothing fancy. It gets the job done and if the person can't make it to the dining area for whatever reason, they're served food in their rooms."

"I also went to the Gardens, but there was no memory care. I liked that they had beautiful large planters inside, which was very nice. However, they had two separate dining rooms, and I thought they had grown too large. They were not really big, they just out grown. "

"I was impressed by the staff there. They welcomed me when I came to visit. The residents like it there. The food was very good. The activity was in their own theater room! My friend loves the cna's. Beautiful building. "

"As far as I'm concerned, Our House of Ogden is the best assisted living in Ogden. The minute I walked in, I was in love. It's bright and cheerful, and it feels like home. I've been here going on five years now. The only reason that I'm wanting to move is to be close to my children. My daughter lives in Flagstaff, and my son is living in San Antonio, Texas. I would be close to them, and that's what I want. I love the food. They accept pets; I have a cat. We go to Wal-Mart now, and we're going to start going out to restaurants to eat. They take us out to drive just to go out and see the countryside. It is beautiful here in Utah. The mountains are so gorgeous, and everything is awesome. It is awesome. We have a nurse on staff that is here five days a week, and a doctor comes in once a month to check on the residents."

"We went to Avamere at Mountain Ridge yesterday. It just was clean. It was homey looking. We just liked the way it was set up. The people, the manager, and the executive manager were very kind. They took us around. We were just impressed with what they do and the services they offer. It just felt good to us. They showed us the activity room, the beautiful gardens, and the dining room. They went through all of that with us. They had an exercise room with exercise machines. They had lots of activities. They had a place where they gather for music in the evening. They had an activity room which also serves as a church on Sunday. It's all held right there for the people. We were just impressed. They do transportation for medical purposes. They do have a beauty salon on the property, which is nice. They do offer things where they go on rides with them, but COVID kind of shut that down a little bit."
