"I very much enjoyed the person I talked to at Sunrise and the director. It was a very nice place, but it was a little further out from where we live. The rooms were very good. They had a library, activities, and pretty much everything most others have. "

"Legacy Village of Sugar House is very large. You use the elevator to go to your room and to get down to the dining area. It is too big for someone who has mobility problems (like my husband). He uses a walker but he can't walk far at all, so it is not good for him. The staff member who assisted us with the tour was very pleasant and very informative. The room was pleasant too. There seemed to be a lot of things going on. It is like a fancy hotel when you walk in, which may appeal to some people a great deal."

"Sagewood at Daybreak was very nice, very new, and modern. They seemed to have a lot of activities, more than Mother would ever use. Plus, it was a lot more expensive and farther away from us. It had a lot of things available, like hairdressers, activity centers, and swimming places. However, my mom would never use any of that stuff, and it would be more than what we wanted to pay. "

"I toured Cedarwood at Sandy. The facility was nice. The staff was nice and seemed like there were a lot of activities for her to do. The lady who helped with the tour was just helpful and insightful. The facility was clean."

"Crescent Senior Living is the perfect place for my parents. Everyone is so nice and they go above and beyond our expectations in every aspect. It is a beautiful facility delicious food and the kindest and best care. Love this place!"

"Sunrise of Sandy was amazing and it would work perfectly for my mother-in-law, but it was way over her budget. She could afford it for two years, but after that we have to move her to a downgraded facility. The person during the tour was amazing, very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. The dining area was amazing. They were getting ready to go on a field trip, they have crafts, and they have everything that she would have liked. It was clean and it didn't smell like an old people place."

"It was lovely and very homey. The rooms were large. They had kitchenette facilities. It was quaint. They have things that my sister would be interested in like book club and writer’s club, so it is for more functioning folks. We would really like her to be there. There were some people in the crafts room doing craft activities. "

"My husband moved to Valencia at Draper. They're taking care of him and giving him the medication when he needs it and all that kind of stuff. It's just worked out. They serve three meals a day. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a little courtyard in the memory care unit. It's small, but it's sufficient."

"I have occasion to visit many assisted living facilities throughout Utah since my family all works within the health care system. My Aunt and cousin work in many assisted living facilities and my church group also holds a church meeting for the elderly at several local assisted living facilities, so I know what I am talking about when it comes to whether or not assisted living facilities are worth sending your loved ones to. I choose to only review those that I found to be upstanding, so I chose to review the facility known as the Brighton Gardens of SLC since I was so impressed with the staff and the grounds. The usual problems that people complain about when entering a home of this kind were nowhere to be found. One woman wandered from her room (an alzheimer's patient) and was spotted immediately and returned to safety. This staff was on point, meaning they knew who and what was going on at all times. The treats and food were exeptional and the rooms were spacious, especially for the price. The only complaint I would have about this assisted living facility is that it needs more grounds. Being in Salt Lake City it does not have the acres of land some of the other Utah facilities have for parks and walk areas, though this home still had beautiful gardens and paths for the residents. Definitely would consider sending my loved ones to live at this facility. "

"This is a small facility, sixteen resident capacity, and the facility itself is not overly beautiful or anything, but this facility has a lot of heart. I've rarely seen a facility that puts as much emphasis on family then this one does. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate family visits, even if they aren't at the best times. They also invite family to all the parties and get togethers and encourage family participation. I've never visited this facility without seeing at least two or three different residents with visitors at any given time, and they're always talking and laughing and generally just having a good time. I also always see children there visiting their grandparents or great grandparents. They literally just light the place up. "

"Spring Gardens Draper is wonderful. It is clean and new. They have a wonderful staff, who were great to personalize our walk through. They made the transition of my mother-in-law very easy. They have exercise classes, social activities, walking, and a hair salon. We see my mother-in-law every day, and she is doing great. They also have a library, an ice cream parlor, an outdoor park area, and a craft room. I had a meal there, and it was delicious. They have a wonderful chef."

"Besides the size, BeeHive seems more like a home. The other ones were more like apartments to me, and I like more of a homey feel. It had all the bedrooms around the big living area, and I like that setup for my mother. The staff is really good. They’re really helpful with her needs and, if she needs anything, they always let me know. They seem to treat everyone with a lot of respect, and I’m very happy with that. They have activities every day, different types of music performers come in and perform regularly, church services, and a nice patio area that when the weather is nice, you could come out there, and things like that. "

"I visited Legacy. To me they were a little bit limited with their activities. They were smaller. I liked smaller community, but I did not like that they were limited in their activities. The staff that gave me the tour was very good. They were able to answer all of my questions pretty well. They had more women clients there than men. "

"I went to look at Creekside Senior Living. I love, love that place. It was extremely expensive. The things that they have for seniors to do, the little clubs, the little man's club, the movie night, and I talked to some of the residents there actually; they seemed to be very happy. The facility was excellent. I met a couple of people, and they were very friendly, very personable. I liked the place. The facility was very clean. They did give me some cookies, but I did not try the food. The people can order their food if they don't like what's on the menu. I thought that was outstanding, too. Those cookies were very good, but I didn't know if those cookies were made or brought in. They have a library so that they can read. They had a barbecue pit out in the back so that if you want to have your family and come in. Spend time with your family out there you can, and cook. They had a little gym. That's what I liked about it. They had a physical therapist, too, if you need physical therapy. They even have a doctor and nurse on site."
