"We chose Capital Hill Senior Living for my mom because it's close to me and it was a nice facility. She moved into their memory care last week and they're doing a great job, so far. The workers there are very helpful and treat my mother very well. The food is very good. Every time I come to visit, she's been down in the community area with other residents and watching TV, which is something we couldn't get her to do before so it's really good. It's a very nice facility and it's kept very clean. It's close to hospitals and there are restaurants close by."

"My parents moved into Legacy House of Taylorsville. It's clean, and so far it's been really good, they have very friendly and helpful staff. The dining area is fine, I haven't eaten the food, but they said it's okay. They've made the apartment homey, it's clean, well-kept, bright, and it smells good. They like the church services, outings, and the musical groups that come and perform there. They don't care for Bingo but other people do."

"They're only as good as the staff and they're only as good as the direct care staff in the facility. Whether medications are given or handed to the residents, whether or not they actually do that appropriately, and whether there's supervision by a nurse which is usually isn't there every day, I'm not sure that that's done really well. "

"What I was impressed with here was the staff, the facility, and the things that were included. I can't think of anything about it that wasn't favorable, I liked everything so far. I met a couple of staff members briefly and the director, and the person that I worked with out there were great. She's just very informative and listened, while in a couple of places I checked into, they didn't seem to listen as well so I had to kind of try to work through, get questions in, and whatnot. But she was good, she did a great job with the facility and tour. I toured it for my parents but I also know a resident that's there, and he likes it and highly recommended it. That's the biggest reason I'm leaning toward that facility. I haven't tried the food but that was a little bit of a question from a couple of people I talked to was just the food. My friend said the food's pretty good overall, now and then they kind of missed the mark according to him, but overall they do a good job. What I saw as far as what they offer for the residents, the activities they have, the structure, the staff, cleanliness, all that. They have a van that will take people out for shopping trips, and they go do activities, go to different venues, and do things like that. They have an in-house on-staff activities coordinator. I wasn't able to meet her, but I heard a lot of good things about her."

"My father has been at Legacy House of South Jordan for 6 months now. We chose them because they are just wonderful to work with and my dad liked them. They had been 100% A+ on everything. Dad likes the food there, but I have not tried it yet. He has a basic room with a bedroom, a big bathroom, a kitchen, and a little front room. They have a calendar of activities that they put out, and they have 3 or 4 things every day. They have movies, bingo, and different activities for different people all the time. I know my dad participates in some of them once in a while and he's been happy with that. The place is very clean and very pleasant. We've looked at several other places before choosing them, but they are the best priced and the best people to work with and it's just been a very positive thing for our family and my dad."

"I toured Valencia at Draper. They have a lot of things going on to help keep the patients busy doing things to keep them happy. The rooms are pretty good. I thought that the studio apartment is a little small, but under the circumstances and depending on what you're going to do with it, it's still OK. The place was well kept. The dining area was good, well kept, and it had plenty of room. The staff members were great. They were very attentive. They stayed with us the whole time and answered any questions that we had. You couldn't ask for better people to ask questions and to help you with whatever you needed."

"Spring Gardens Draper had a very homey and comfortable atmosphere. The staff who toured me around was very welcoming, very informative, and just very easy to talk to. We liked that there weren't set hours when they had to go to the cafeteria to eat. The apartment had a little kitchenette with a good-sized refrigerator, but you had to bring your own microwave and furniture. They had a big courtyard in the middle. They had barbecues and other activities there. There were nice places to sit with tables with umbrellas and garden space."

"My mother has moved into Copper Creek Senior Living. The thing I like best about this place is that they already have a gluten-free menu and dining options. The thing I like the least is that this center probably has the highest cost of all the facilities I visited. The personal care that we pay for is the most expensive of the 3 facilities we visited. The rooms are nice. They're just small, which is my experience at most of these facilities. My mom is in a 1-bedroom with a small kitchenette and a living room. I would guess they're probably average standard size compared to most. It had a washer and dryer in there and a microwave. She has a fairly spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. I have tried their food, and it was good. They have a weekly calendar, and I would say activities happen about every 2 hours throughout the day."

"This is a small facility, sixteen resident capacity, and the facility itself is not overly beautiful or anything, but this facility has a lot of heart. I've rarely seen a facility that puts as much emphasis on family then this one does. The staff bends over backwards to accommodate family visits, even if they aren't at the best times. They also invite family to all the parties and get togethers and encourage family participation. I've never visited this facility without seeing at least two or three different residents with visitors at any given time, and they're always talking and laughing and generally just having a good time. I also always see children there visiting their grandparents or great grandparents. They literally just light the place up. "

"We toured Sagewood at Daybreak for my husband, and it was a beautiful facility. The rooms were very nice -- I guess they're called apartments -- and it was very well decorated and spacious. I don't know if it was due to the time that we got there, because it was fairly early, but I didn't see a lot of interaction between the caregivers or the staff and the patients. Maybe it was because we were there at breakfast time and they were eating breakfast. The person who gave us the tour was wonderful. She gave us all the information we needed and broke down what the plan would be, and it was very nice. The place was pretty homey and very spacious."

"BeeHive Homes a very good place, my mom is happy here. They are right on top of everything. The staff is accommodating and attentive. She's got a single room with a single bed, a dresser, a bathroom, and a shower. I had her in other places, and she really liked this place. "

"Legacy House of Bountiful was very nice, but I think they charge a fee if the resident can't go to the meals and bring it to their room instead. Other than that, the rooms were very, very well kept and very nice. They had a lot of activities on their calendar. The staff was very helpful and they told me about everything on the tour."

"We toured Creekside Senior Living twice for my parents. It was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly, and the gentlemen who gave us both tours were fabulous. We were very, very happy. They had movies, gym, and activities outside in the courtyard. Once Covid is over, they will have a lot of other activities. It was very impressive."
