"The transition for my mother to Spring Gardens has been a very positive. It was a decision that was not made lightly, but has proven to be a blessing to our family. The staff have been great to communicate as we worked through routines to support my mom. The weekly activities keep her busier than she has been in years. A family member commented that the weekly schedule is like a cruise-ship, "always something to do". COVID-19 has made the move difficult for families and residents to visit. However, the efforts to keep communication options open have not gone unnoticed. I have appreciated the nursing staff and CNA's to assist my family in the burden of staying on top of Medicare, medical needs and all of the daily assists that help my mom live comfortably and independently. "

"My father-in-law was at Legacy Retirement Residence of South Jordan. He loved it. It was a great place. They took good care of them. He's lived there for about three years. He was in independent living. They gave him a very safe, fun enjoyable place to live. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The building was clean. They took a great interest in their residents. They had lots of activities and he went on a lot of outings, and he enjoyed the bands that would come into play. He participated in those. They were great. They were awesome. I have eaten there, and the food was great. It was very good. We went to Thanksgiving, and it was great. Value for money is very good."

"Having my husband here has been good. I like how they pay attention to him, and they seem to be able to talk him into doing what he should to do. Sometimes it's hard, but it's good, and it's clean. I like it for him. The one day that I visited and went through there it looked like the residents were eating well. The staff has been amazing; they've been great. The activities that they told me about sound very good. He has tried to escape before, but they work with him very well, and have been gentle and caring with him."

"Sagewood at Daybreak was a great facility. I enjoyed it a lot. It had all the services that my mom needed, but it was a bit pricey. The staff who assisted me with the tour was Cathy, and she was great. They had studios and one-bedroom apartments. They had a macular degeneration group, which I thought was cool. It was quite different from what I've seen in other places. They didn't have exterior doors in the apartments that went out to the patio. They had to walk out through the main areas to get out."

"My friend is here. It's a beautiful place, it's new, and she loves it. She is also close to her old friends, so she's really happy there. She's been there since February 3, and she's doing really, really well. She has a bedroom, a front room, a little kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom. They have all kinds of activities during the day, like watching movies, playing bingo, and playing other games. They have church activities, too. She goes down every day to have her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well. It's a great place."

"The place I’ve been most interested in recently is Treeo Orem. It’s only three years old and just celebrating their second anniversary. It’s nicely located across from a park and next to a church where my wife and I would be attending if we were living there. Independent living is their main feature, but they do have a nursing staff and emergency coverage. They have one-bedrooms of two different sizes, two-bedrooms of two different sizes, and a studio, so there’s quite a variety on four levels. They charge a little extra per month for the ground floor because of the patios and the fourth level because of the views and decks. The rooms were smaller than what I would like. There were nice common area outside in the back. What I liked about them was that they provide a lot of on-site educational opportunities and lots of outside activities with transportation available. I met with some of the residents and had a nice visit with them last week. Both of them had been in other places and would not go back where they were because they prefer Treeo, which was encouraging. It’s a nice feeling. They served breakfast and supper as part of the monthly charge. They don’t cover lunch but had a little restaurant open to the public, so friends could join you and buy lunch. All of the rooms had little kitchenettes or full-service kitchens to prepare your own lunch if you desire. "

"Just moved my grandfather in the staff are amazing and so attentive. Love the fresh food. The moving company handled all his furniture and items with such care. "

"This is an excellent facility, very beautiful. It's reminiscent of some colonial mansion or something. There are many great aspects of this facility. One of them is the activities. There is always something for the residents to do. And those activities aren't just limited to the occasional game of bingo and shopping trip. There are manicures and parties and picnics and scenic drives. Many of the residents I've spoken with love the drives. They often drive up to the canyon. It's especially beautiful in the spring and fall, with the blossoming trees and the changing of the leaves, turning the entire mountain orange and red. The residents love this little nature exploration so that they can feel that they're still part of the outside world. "

"We chose Avalon Senior Living Apartments because the price was very reasonable. It has a very nice exercise room, a library, a social gathering room, a games room, and an outside picnic area for barbecue. The corridors are really wide. The apartments are nice and spacious with fully equipped kitchens, and there's space for a washer and dryer. The staff seems really nice, helpful, and pleasant. They don't have too many organized activities though."

"Grovecrest Villas was fabulous and almost brand new. They have beautiful, large, sunlit common rooms, and a gorgeous library on the second floor. They have a hair salon, an exercise room, and a theater room. The rooms were larger than what you would see in the assisted care places, but they don't offer any sort of care at all. The rooms have washers and dryers, which is fabulous. It was one of my favorite places and it was inexpensive because the amenities were much less."

"We love our next door neighbor, Manila Country Home. Not only are the gardens and yards well kept but they add beauty to the area. The owners of the home are very much community givers. They have welcomed local church groups to bring in activites such as sewing clubs and music performances as well as working with the local senior center to encourage social development. Many times there has been a nice aroma of baked goods. The owners have encouraged the local kids to come visit with the residents and read to them. My kids have adopted them as grandparents. The rooms are well furnished and large and the staff is determined to give one on one interaction with the residents. This place is well worth coming over to visit and consider a nice homey place for your loved one."

"I stayed at Covington Senior Living of Lehi for about a year. The experience was very good. The people were very friendly and sharing. I just really loved it there. It's a very beautiful place. They brought in a lot of musical talent to play and sing for us. We go on outings to Walmart and other places. It was a great place. They provide three meals a day and laundry. The staff members were great. I enjoyed them. They were very knowledgeable."

"I live in a 55+ community called Meadow Park Villas. This is independent living. I am really glad I moved here. It's been better than I ever hoped. The staff members are efficient. We have a monthly dinner together. There's a swimming pool and a clubhouse. They have a small gym and a little movie theater in the clubhouse. I really like it. I'm really grateful I moved in."

"River Meadows Senior Living has a memory care unit which was an advantage for us. What attracted us were the individual houses which were like town homes. The staff was accommodating and helpful. There was a lot going on when we visited the place. The residents are very independent. "
