"My sister liked it, except she doesn't like it that they have no security at night. They were very well taken care of, there were a lot of staff in the dining room, and the food is really good. She likes that they are very active, they play games, and they are very nice. She likes her room, she likes having a walk-in shower, it's very clean, and she's very comfortable there. It bothers her that there is no security at night. The facility is very old, it only has 2 small elevators, but the activities are good."

"Our father is a resident of Forest Hills. He lives in a studio plus apartment. (This allows him to have a separate living room from his bedroom.) The rooms are spacious. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and kind. Every time I have visited my father his room is clean. (They include cleaning and laundry as one of their services.) My father loves the food. The kitchen staff is willing to honor his request of a cheeseburger and fries for lunch. I would recommend Forest Hills to anyone who is looking for a safe and friendly environment for their loved one."

"I have toured several places for my Mom and, after touring Cedarhurst, I knew I didn't need to look further. The entire place was so lovely and pleasing and the rooms were very well designed. Spoke with some of the residents and they were very comfortable with their "home" and especially loved all the social activities within the community for the residents. The staff was very informative and even I felt comfortable being there. All in all, for the price and what is included in the amenities, Cedarhurst is definitely the place for my Mom."

"For my mother her 1 bedroom was just good for her since her mobility was very limited. She saw a 1 bedroom that was bigger and wanted to move. The staff was exceptional from maintenance to the Executive Director. My mom especially liked and interacted with Emma, the 1st person you meet when the door opens. The Salon was my mother's favorite place to visit. She really liked the lady who did her hair. It was always a highlight for her. She did not really participate in activities, much to my disappointment. There were many different activities and events offered. One that my mom did enjoy on occasions was the elementary school choir sang for the residents and sometimes when there was music played live downstairs. She is now in longterm care at another facility and she misses Woodland Terrace. I do to!"

"We recently moved my mother into CCWH from living alone at home, and the world is now a brighter place for Mom and a relief for family to know that she can enjoy her life without the stress and burden of maintaining a safe home alone. Mom comments repeatedly about how friendly and helpful the residents are, and appreciates the healthy meals and convenience of dining in or taking meals back to her room. Our family loves the convenience of visiting her in her room or commons area, and the fact that Millenium Health Care services are on premises and available if Mom gets "down in her back" and temporarily needs some additional assistance or therapy on-site. We love the location and size of the facility, which is updated, clean, gated and in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are larger and more comfortable than those of other newer facilities in Tulsa and Mom can easily drive less than a mile to reach all her medical, banking and shopping destinations, and return to a securely gated and covered reserved parking spot. Mom's tour and move were facilitated by Jennifer, Amy and Sabrina, who did a wonderful job assessing and providing for Mom's needs and desires. You know the old adage, " If Moma ain't happy, no one is happy!" Well, Mom is very happy with her new apartment and new friends, and the family is very happy as well. Thank you directors and staff of Country Club Woodland Hills!"

"Woodland Manor Apartment Homes is a 55+. It was not quite what I was looking for, but it was nice. They only showed us one apartment, and it wouldn't accommodate some of my things. It's just right in town and in a commercial area. The staff was pleasant and helpful. They don't have meals. It's just apartments."

"I went to Montereau the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and took a little bit of a tour. It is in the other side of 71st Street in a very wooded area. They've been up for 10 years. It's very nice, very clean and very well kept. They have four restaurants. They have a spa and a wonderful fitness area. They have a chapel for all faiths. They have a wide variety of activities from painting to games, bridge and billiards. I want to go live there, it's a great place. There are many senior adult couples who live there that one of the spouses is in the Alzheimer memory care place while the other one could enjoy the independent living and I think it would give my father a measure of support. My father's wife has pretty advanced stage of Alzheimer's and he would be in independent living area where she would be in the more highly structured memory care. "

"Mom has been living in Autumn Park for about four years. The cost is based upon their income, and it has some income guidelines. It's secure and very clean. The apartments are very nice, well kept, and for an income-based community it's very well done. They have a community dining area, very affordable meals, an elevator for both floors, and a community craft room. There is no exercise facility there, which is a little bit of a drawback, and I would say the location for most people might not be convenient -- it's a little bit rural. I'm not too crazy about the food there, so I buy all my mom's food."

"5400 South is just a senior apartment. I was impressed with this place and it looked nice. They had a nice location and helpful staff who gave us a tour. They don't serve meals there or anything like that. "

"I toured the Southern Hills Retirement Community. I like the whole concept, and I thought it was clean and very nice. If it wasn't for finances, I probably would have taken one. I like the place. They served three meals a day."

"My mother was in Covenant Living of Bixby. She was there for a while and they told us that she needed more care. We had already started looking for a place to move her to, and she got sick. They were only assisted living and they did a very poor job of monitoring her health. She had edema. I even had a doctor write a prescription out for extra diuretics so that when her legs swelled up they would give her extra diuretics, but she would always end up in the hospital because they didn't monitor her very well. She got skin infections because her legs would swell up so much that her skin would break, and she got infections in her sores. As far as the care that she got, it wasn't very good. She liked it there a lot, but then the pandemic happened where she was quarantined and isolated, she couldn't see friends, she couldn't see her family, and my sister died of a brain tumor, and that was very hard on her. The facility is very good, the rooms are really nice, it's a fairly new place, it's just the nursing care. Her medications were always a problem. She did not like to participate in a lot of the activities, but five days a week they would have card games, they would have fashion shows, ice cream socials, 4th of July parties, and Christmas parties. She liked the people there, she liked the facility, and she really liked her apartment. She had made friends there, she really thrived there until the pandemic."

"Someone told me about the Park Village Retirement Community, so I looked it up and went there. I visited on a Saturday and it didn't seem like they had so much activity on their agenda. There wasn't much friendliness or camaraderie. They should have more activities planned, so residents could intermingle with each other. One woman was home and she let me look into her apartment. It was very small and more like a studio because you had to walk through the bedroom to get into the bathroom. I'd have to sell my refrigerator and dryer, which means I'd have to spend money every week on doing my laundry. And I'd have to give up so much if I were to move in there. The good thing about it though is that I don't have to worry about my house or cutting the grass and stuff like that. "

"My mother was living in The Villages at Southern Hills when she got sick, and they allowed her to return to her own apartment there. We've done three convalescences there and we were happy with the place, that's why we went back. The staff that we deal with there is extraordinary and we're very pleased with them, but we don't quite feel quite the same way with the kitchen. She's in her own apartment and they allowed us to provide her 24-hour care for her there. After we did her rehab there, we were impressed enough with them. And that's when we moved out of the house and moved her into an apartment in their independent living section. We've been in their rehab twice, we've been in their skilled nursing once, and we're now back in our apartment. So we feel like we live there. They've been very generous to us. The reason for my rating would be the food and definitely not the staff. The nursing staff, housekeeping staff, those folks are wonderful to us and wonderful to her. The food is just not extraordinary. So the staff taking care of her I'd give a 5, but the kitchen I'd give a 3. They have activities and the facade of the place is very fine; it's lovely."

"My son and I visited Scandia Retirement Community in August of 2013. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the apartments and also the transpiration provided for people who don't drive. I moved here in September of 2013. I have enjoyed preparing some of my meals and am also aware that Scandia is close to many places to eat. some of them within walking distance. They will also pick up prepared meals for you or take you to the grocery store to buy supplies. Scandia is surrounded by grocery stores, a library, a doctor's office, and a beauty shop.
