"I toured Truewood by Merrill, Boise. I made a deposit on a room and then they decided that they wouldn't accept my dad. The staff members I met were super friendly and outgoing. I like them. We mostly focused on studio-type rooms; however, they didn't have one available. It seems like they keep plenty of residents there. But I thought the rooms were nice. They're small, but they are wonderful. They usually look out into courtyards, and they have little kitchenettes in them. I like their rooms. The grounds were nice. They have several courtyard areas. Some are more private, and some are more open to other residents. They were nice. They have gardening and stuff. They have more of a restaurant-style seating in the dining room. We went during dinner, and it smelled wonderful. They had lasagna. They have their own chef there. The dining area was nice. They give you a couple of hours to go there and enjoy each meal. They seemed to have plenty of activities, too. The staff were really into activities; they were promoting them. I like the way the facility was set up, and I like the staff members a lot. "

"I have been here at Chateau since last Thanksgiving and I really can't say enough about it. The rooms are large and each one is different. The residents are friendly and interested in each other. The management staff really care about each individual and the general staff treat us as family. It's a happy place to be. I love them all. During Covid, they have gone out of their way for us."

"I'm moving to Heatherwood Senior Living this Saturday. It felt better, and I liked it. I had lunch there, and the food was delicious. The rooms were a bit larger. The staff seemed very nice and helpful. They had a walking group, fitness room, and cards. The apartment I got is on the ground floor, and they allow pets."

"We went to Brookdale Boise Parkcenter. What I like best and what we have to plan to go back to is their little cottages. And we couldn't go in one at the time, but she's going to call me when it empties, so I can go inside the cottage. But she told me a little bit about it and it sounded nice. The staff was very nice. I think she did open the door for one of the rooms and I looked in, but I wasn't impressed with the main quarters or the units. I just was impressed with the cottages. It's located around so many different businesses like beauty shops, and exercise places. St Luke's Hospital is just across the parking lot from it. Anything you would want, a movie theater, bowling alley, it's just right in the middle of all that. That would be handy."

"Mom is at Grace Assisted Living at Nampa. It is a very good facility. It suits Mom very well. It's clean and has big open spaces. The staff has been very welcoming and friendly. I ate there and I thought the food was good. They have courtyards that are very nice and well-kept. It's a newer facility, so it's in good shape. Mom's got the ability to do several different activities there if she wants to participate. We actually found a different Grace Assisted Living in another city, but they didn't have rooms. Since it was such a good facility, they referred us to the Nampa facility, and this turned out to be good as well."

"I like Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village. They took COVID seriously, and I appreciated that. The lady that we met with was very nice and very professional. She gave us a nice tour and she answered all of our questions. She has been very thorough and diligent in her follow up, but not pushy. I'm in sales, so I appreciate a follow up that's not pushy. She's always available when I want to talk. We saw a two-bedroom apartment that I believe was for assisted living. The outside is first class. It's a beautiful building. It has well-maintained grounds."

She's in a patio home. It's a nice duplex with a garage. It's spacious, clean, and modern. It's a good value. They have a fitness room, restaurant, bistro, salon, and clubhouse. The landscaping and garden are well kept."

"I went to Spring Creek Eagle Island and I was looking for assisted and independent living. The tour was wonderful. The woman that took us for the tour was well informed. She was polite and super helpful. I was very happy. The apartments were more than adequate. It's light years ahead of the facility that my in-laws are in."

"Garden Plaza of Valley View was a very nice facility with very nice rooms. The staff was very friendly. The people were out on an activity when I was there. Their baked goods were excellent. They had a library, a beauty shop, a game room, a movie room, a place to worship, and multiple areas where people could do things. They also had all kinds of tables with puzzles on them and other games. So, they had a lot going on there, and I think there was a definite good quality of life for their residents. Everything was very pretty. It had a feeling of being in a big cabin with a dual fireplace. There was lots of seating and the place was bigger so you could walk more (there were walking paths outside)."

"My experience with Northgate Senior Village has been wonderful. They've been very friendly and helpful, and they made my mom and dad feel very welcome. They have a two-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen and a really large living room and a back patio. There's a clubhouse, and there are meals that are brought in every day. When I was there moving my parents, they were painting birdhouses. They have a pool table, an exercise area, and a really good library. "

"I've been to Parkview Apartments because I have a friend there. What I liked the most was the awesome view from many of the apartments. It overlooked a beautiful park, you can also see the mountain in one direction, and the rooms were large. I understand that most of the apartments have been renovated over the years. Her second apartment wasn't as nice as the first, but the kitchen in the first one had been totally redone with granite countertop and nice cabinets. What I don't care for is the heating doesn't seem to work very well. My friend's room was always cold in the winter, and part of that could be due to larger rooms than average. Hers was a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, but I was looking for just 1, or 2 bedrooms at the most. She really liked it there."
