"The staff took very good care of my grandfather. They treated him like family. He liked the food and loved the staff. Therapy worked him well enough to be able to come home. There was always something going on, even though he didn't always participate."

"As far as rehabilitation and nursing goes, there is nowhere I would have rather had the pleasure of being than The Orchards of Cascadia. During my time recovering there, I was blessed with not only incredibly patient and compassionate nurses, happy to help in all ways - but also very consistent, compassionate and hard working and thoughtful CNA's who shared the same goals in helping my health as I did myself. My experience was littered with nothing but positivity through every step, steps genuinely made possible by the therapy team who I could not have recovered without the guiding hand of. They took me from stuck in a bed, to being able to walk again, and even finding the reason for a smile as well. Through all of this, even the higher ups would go out of their way to greet me and express their time and availability, should I need it. I never felt alone or abandoned in my recovery, and I urge others to get help when needed; thank you to Cascadia and everybody there who helped me get where I am today. "

"All facilities are judged by the level of care and "caring" they offer to their clients, and based on that, Meadow View Skilled Nursing and Rehab has to be one of the very best facilities of its kind in the State of Idaho. I arrived there to accomplish recuperation and physical therapy after a bout with Pancreatitis, complicated by both a UTI and e-coli that had previously hospitalized me for 5-days. As part of my physical therapy, they discovered elements that stemmed from a car accident that had been overlooked for 7-years by doctors, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other physical therapists. Obviously, that speaks highly of the level of expertise of the therapy staff at Meadow View, however it's the entire staff that makes this facility an exemplary facility. I've never before seen the level of accountability each team member holds themselves to in any business, and they go about it naturally and with what I call "casual professionalism." From the janitorial service team members to the engineering staff to the CNA's, nurses, and doctors right up to the administrators, each and every person gives you the impression that they have been waiting all day for the opportunity to take care of you and your needs."

"Wellspring Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia was good. I would rate them excellent, but they lack a little bit on personal attention. The food smelled and looked really good, and my mom said it tasted home-cooked. The activities were OK, but you have to be able to make it through the activities, and if youre not able to get there on your own, its difficult to do anything. I think the community is pretty good for bed-ridden people, but I wouldnt put someone in there who wanted to be involved in activities and social things. My mom was in assisted living and I didnt feel like they gave her enough attention, although the staff was good. The cost is really high for the value."

"I had a grandmother that was at Cascadia of Nampa on a Medicare stay. The staff was very kind and caring. Food was good for a nursing home. Therapy department was above par. They worked hard to get my grandmother out in the limited time molina was willing to cover her. Cascadia of Nampa was very clean and without bad smell. The room was clean and well put together as grandma arrived in the facility. Anita enjoyed working with the activity department with coloring, diamond art, bingo and card games. One night they even had a large movie projector, and popcorn. Admin staff are knowledge in their career field. They went above and beyond to work with insurance to help my grandmother have a few extra days of rehab. I am grateful for the care provided to Anita and will be a return customer if the needs arises. Thank you Cascadia of Nampa."

"I'm going to stay here at Creekside Transitional Care & Rehabilitation because they've given me a big private room. We have 24-hour nurses, and we have very good food here. They take excellent care of us. It's not like an assisted living facility with fireplaces and all those fancy things. Every hallway has its own RN, so they don't have to run everywhere. You have them available to you immediately. And we have all CNAs, we don't have any med techs. They have three or four doctors that come in once a week and go through the whole place, and they're on call anytime they're needed. If they cook something and we don't like it, we just send it back to the kitchen and tell them what we want. There is a separate menu that you can get most anything on, and they will fix it for you and send it to you immediately. We have several clubs. There's a men's club, a women's club, and we have arts and crafts. We have a large TV in a TV room, and the arts and crafts department has all kinds of special things in there where they bring refreshments in. Their therapy department is excellent, too."

"During the 2 yrs. I had family members at Cherry Ridge I found the staff to be both professional and genuinely caring. They listened to any questions or concerns and, when necessary, responded in a timely manner.. They treated my parents with respect and patience. For a number of the staff this was not just an 8 to 5 job & a paycheck it was a dedicated & personal commitment to help the residents live their llives, while at Cherry Ridge, with dignity and as pain free as posssible. I consider both my parents and myself extremely lucky to have found Cherry Ridge. "

"Apex Center is very nice. They had an immediate opening for my dad and they took his health care at the time so it was quite easy to get there. They seemed to have gone through a couple of changes of employees. The staff right now is really nice; they seem to care for my dad as well. He seems to like the food a lot. He’s in a room by himself. It has a bed, a chair, a chest of drawers, and his own bathroom. "

"My mom is still in a rehab facility right now because she broke her hip. She is at Arbor Valley of Cascadia. It is adequate; it is okay. The room is okay. However, when I went outside to give my mom some outside time on the patio, it was not good. The grass was overgrown with weeds. The patio area wasn't kept up very well. The staff is good. They're nice. My mom is incapacitated. She's there for rehab on her legs so she doesn't participate in any of the activities. And she's got memory issues, so she can't do activities. She does physical therapy, and it's very good. They're helping her a lot. They also do occupational therapy. However, the food isn't very good. It's kind of plain and not that tasty."

"I have had friends who have lived here in the past, and a friend who currently lives here. They have always been very happy with this place. In the assisted living area, the apartments are roomy enough with a kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. The common areas are spotless, with very nice amenities, including a grand piano, which the residents can use, and entertainment is frequently provided. There are all levels of care at this facility, including independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, and a nursing home facility, all in the same place, so that as your needs increase, you will not have to go elsewhere. The staff has always been courteous and knowledgeable, and helpful. When I went in to the front desk, and asked which room a particular resident was in, they told me, but they also told me that she was currently in the dining room, to save me a trip up to her apt. The food is amazing! My friend is always raving about it, and inviting me to eat with her. The cost is a little more than some of the other places, but you get what you pay for. They do have busses and/or vans that take you to shopping centers, and/or doctors appointments at certain times."

"About 6 months ago I taught a middle school leadership class. I had the child write cards and pick flowers to bring the residents of the Life Care Center of Boise. When we arrived the facility appeared top-notch. The Children were nervous at first but once they started talking to the amazing residents they really started having a great time. A few of the residents started crying because they were so happy to have a visitor and someone to talk to. All in all it was an amazing experience for the students, the residents, and me as well. I absolutely recommend the Life Care Center of Boise, to care for your loved ones. "

"If I could give a ZERO STAR for care I would. The staff is friendly and try to be helpful. But they are only "Johnny on the Spot" when you alert them about something, otherwise you find you loved one sitting in urine soaked clothes and no clean clothes available because it takes days for laundry to return clothing. Also, when you tell them something, they always state they will do it or look into it. YEP...never gets done. Ask...ASK...ASK...MEETING...DEMAND....PLEAD...NOTHING. LOTS of MONEY...for WHAT!?! AND NOW THEY ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION - POUNDING, HAMMERING, MOVING RESIDENTS FROM ROOM TO ROOM ...HALL TO HALL. VERY BAD FOR PATIENTS THAT ARE ELDERLY OR HAVE DEMENTIA. Or anyone for that matter."

"My dad was at Id Elks for his rehabilitation. He had three hours of therapy per day. An hour each for occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. It was the minimum but would also depend on how much help they needed. Nursing care was very good. When the call light was pressed, they usually arrived in five minutes. They were also very sensitive to comments from the family members, they really acted upon our observations with my father's condition. We watched them work out dad in the gym and we really saw the improvements. "

"The Idaho state Veterans Home is moderately acceptable. Some levels are warm and home like. There is a barber that comes once a week to cut hair which the Veterans love. They also have craft kits and fun volunteers and very happy volunteers. There are other levels which are dank and scary and the underpaid staff are just kind of scared and do not smile at all. I had some of the food and it was pretty good. They have jello every day which tires both the residents and myself. I went to go visit my great uncle Pete at least once a week and he was always excited to see me. He had one nurse Monica who was so wonderful. She was always happy and relaxed and knew exactly what he wanted and how to make him happy and take care of him. Monica was really really excellent. When my uncle died she went to the funeral and sat with the family. "

"Shaw Mountain of Cascadia is very clean and there's no hospital smell. I talked with a number of the staff, and I was very impressed with them. They've been there for a long time, so it doesn't appear that there's a big turnover. The food is very good, and my dad likes it. They have a nurse who's always there when I'm there. She administers the medications. They also have a rehabilitation center where my dad went to first, and they worked very diligently to help him know how to get out of the bed onto the wheelchair. They also did arm exercises for strength. Also attached to the rehab center is a memory center, which my dad will eventually go to since he has the onset of dementia. The staff was very caring, professional, knew what they're doing, and have had training. The meal I had was excellent, and they cook everything there. The place is nicely appointed, and the hospital beds all looked nice in rehab. There's TV and any kind of music you want, a couple of chairs for visitors, a sink, and closet. It's very adequate."
