"It was a nice a place and the price is very reasonable. They have a very excellent living environment. My mother in law got a studio apartment that has a little kitchen and a bedroom. She has her private bathroom in there. Their studios could have one bedroom or two-bedrooms and they got various sizes of apartments. They have a lot of activities that she enjoys. She is also provided 3 meals a day so she doesn't have to worry about cooking. Everyday she considers herself very lucky to be there. We are all very happy to have found Salmon Creek. "

"I toured Revel Eagle. It was a good experience. It is a really beautiful place. It is in a nice location. It is handy to all kinds of shops and it's fairly new, too. The lobby and all the multi-use rooms were large, big, and beautiful, but the apartments were very small. They had a beauty shop and a couple of different dining rooms; one more formal and one more casual. They had no swimming pool and no garages for cars, but they had a theater-type room where you can watch movies. They had a fire pit outside and a nice large patio."

"We went to Sunny Ridge. I thought it was a reasonable facility. It's older, but they have done some upgrades on it, and we visited some of the rooms, and some of the residents, and they seemed to be happy. We didn't sample the food there, which we tried to get back and do, and weren't able to make contact with the person. It's an older facility, but it was one of the ones that we felt rated fairly high. As far as the activities, it looked like they had the usual fare of games. The facility was quite clean and tidy, with some renovations taking place. I think it changed hands recently, and they had started some improvements. The rooms were fairly small, they did accommodate, and in one case, we visited the lady that had a grand piano in the room, so there wasn't much else, but at least she had it in there and had access to playing it. They had a large assembly area where they can hold services, they've had weddings there. So that was kind of impressive."

"We liked the tour that we had. It was great. Carla was the lady that we met with and we liked the customer service we got. The place appeared to be very clean. They have a beauty salon and exercise classes, and we observed residents playing crossword puzzles. We got a tour of one of the studio apartments and one of the one-bedroom apartments and they seemed to be nice."

"My sister and my dad looked at different places, the nicest one they found is Garden Plaza Valley View. The whole facility is beautiful. The staff is very nice and friendly, very concerned of how he was and even the residents too. He likes his room a lot. They were able to get it at a better discount because it doesn't have a view of the mountain but sunshine still comes in. I did not try the food but my sisters did and my dad is very happy with it. He had a terrible appetite when he moved in but since then he has put on some weight. They have all kinds of activities. On Holidays, there's a choir and a band, the college foot ball team was there and they had snacks and drinks. For New Year's Eve there was a party. They also do trips once a week to different grocery stores, go to a local casino once every quarter, church services, flea shop, card games and an exercise room where he participates in. He always calls me and says "I've done this, I've done that". I'd go there if I'm old enough. "

"Grace Living for Seniors is a great facility with a professional staff and clean environment. As a CNA student, i've personally toured the facility and the employees of the facility are well mannered and actually care about the health of the senior occupants. However, the overall atmosphere of the facility is quite intimidating at first and this may deny some potential occupants for this facility, however, the attitudes of the employees as well as the implementation of some CNA students working at the facility helps ease the modd. Overall, the cleanliness and overall attitude helps makes this facility great. What i personally like about this facility is the acitvity direction. I've volunteered at this facility and the staff friendliness helped with my first experience within the facility. Volunteering as an activity director helped give me a feel for this Assisted Living Home which overall is great."

"I've been to Parkview Apartments because I have a friend there. What I liked the most was the awesome view from many of the apartments. It overlooked a beautiful park, you can also see the mountain in one direction, and the rooms were large. I understand that most of the apartments have been renovated over the years. Her second apartment wasn't as nice as the first, but the kitchen in the first one had been totally redone with granite countertop and nice cabinets. What I don't care for is the heating doesn't seem to work very well. My friend's room was always cold in the winter, and part of that could be due to larger rooms than average. Hers was a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, but I was looking for just 1, or 2 bedrooms at the most. She really liked it there."

"I liked Northgate Senior Village's configuration. I have a very large apartment with a nice private backyard area. They have a meal every day, and it's almost a community. "

"Meadow Lake Village is beautiful. I love it. Actually my husband has stayed there for a week to find out what it was like. They were really, really good. I would recommend this facility, but you would have to have a lot of money. Well the rooms, you can get any size you want, and they were very good. The people were so helpful and very nice. They did wonderful things. They would go to community plays, they would go to all the things that are around here, and they would go for trips up the mountain. They were excellent. "

"Grace Assisted Living at State Street was a very nice building. The food looked good, but they have long halls and it would not have worked for my parents. The rooms were beautiful, had nice little kitchenettes, they were roomy, and light. The dining area was also light, pleasant, and roomy, and they had lots of choices on their menu. The layout was really stretched out because of the long, old halls, but it's very lovely and nicely decorated. They have a nice reception area, and they were friendly when we came in."

"We toured Affinity at Boise. I was impressed with them. The tour was good. The staff was good. The maintenance seemed good. It was clean and well done. It's a brand new building, too."
