My brother has moved into Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living. He was in an assisted living that he liked just fine, but they raised the rent. He wanted something similar and Salmon Creek is similar. He's in a studio and meals are provided. He is interested in the fact that they have exercise classes which are very important to him. Those were the most important features. I call him every day, and he's doing fine. They have laundry rooms. They provide the linens. There's an elevator, which he needs because he uses a walker. Three meals a day and snacks are available also during the day. They have an exercise facility. They have tons of things they do with the residents and they take people places. They also have transportation to medical appointments. There are food choices and there's a good variety. Cleanliness and upkeep are good. It's a very nice atmosphere and very friendly. I mostly had contact with the marketing guy, and then a few people when I ate a meal there, and they seemed very cordial and pleasant. I had one meal there when I was touring the place. Whatever food I had was better than the other place he was at.

I visited Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living in Boise. It's an independent living community. They were good and friendly. They had meals on the table, and the food was great. The apartments were clean, and they had people cleaning up. The studio apartment that I looked at was pretty spacious, too. The people there were friendly, and they were greeting everybody. When they ate, they had places put out for people so they could sit down and eat meals with friends. It's a pretty good community.

We looked at quite a few communities in the area. Salmon Creek hit all of our marks. there are a couple other communities that are a bit fancier, but the prices were also much higher. The new renovations that they have done were outstanding and brings the building up to date. We also were invited to lunch, the residents were happy, active, and engaged, the meals was very good. This will be the place we will move our mom to. Keep up the good work.

I toured Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living. That place got my vote. The landscape was magnificent and a selling point for me, aside from accepting my wanting to bring my reloading equipment. There were squirrels on the property. Squirrels only go where there are friendly people. On the property, having nothing to do with the retirement living was a St. Luke's medical facility. That impressed me a lot because if I needed a pulmonology appointment with St. Luke's, I would walk out of the facility and walk over to St. Luke's. That was impressive. Not only did Ryan take a great deal of time with me, he offered me lunch and asked me to stick around and have dinner, which I did. I walked in the door and on a table next to their office was a framed welcome. A piece of paper with my name and my power of attorney. I am very impressed by their sales manager, Ryan. When I first spoke with him, he wanted to know more about me. I said go to YouTube online and type in my name and he did and he was excited to meet me. The food was excellent. The property was excellent. Because I have two cats, if I were able to have a second-floor room with a balcony, that would be superb because my cats can go out and get fresh air. The staff was very friendly. I was just impressed with the facilities they have, plus the library. There is a place to sit with a magnifying glass. The property has been there a long time and the trees are well established. That's where I hope to go. The food was superb. The dining area was very large. Each table was set up for four people. There were maybe 50 tables in the dining area. Ryan told me one thing that was also impressive. When the chef goes to buy meat, the chef will buy the entire cow. The chef was very friendly and I met the assistant managers for the food service and they were very friendly. I was treated as if I had been there for a while. It was just outstanding.

We toured Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living. They were awesome. They had an in-house chef, they had activities, they had plenty of room options, and they would remodel the room to our liking. We didn't try the food, but we talked to several of the residents, and they raved about it. They seem to have quite a few amenities. What was attractive about this place is they didn't have any buy-in fees or leases. There was no lease term, so you could go month to month. They had a nice calendar printed out with all the activities. They had a beauty salon on site and that was nice. The staff were nice and accommodating. The facility was nice but needed some updating.

I went to look at Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living. The cost was alright; it wasn't a lot. We needed a two-bedroom apartment, and the only two-bedroom apartment they had was where they took the two apartments and made it into a two-bedroom and two-bath. But the main thing is we didn't like the fact that there wasn't a kitchen, and you had to eat in the dining room with everybody else. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice; he's a community sales manager. He was very informative, very cordial, and answered all the questions. It was an older facility. They have a balcony, a courtyard, a library, a TV room, and of course, the dining room.

Salmon Creek didn't have the appeal that the other facilities have. It was an older facility. The staff members were friendly, but they only answered questions and instead of giving you a little more information. It was a three-story building, and we didn't live like that as most places were available up on the third floor. It seemed clean and good. It's just a stone's throw away from where we live and almost close to our daughter.

I have lived in this facility for some time. I have seen a lot of management changes in the last year or so, and the newest team is doing an amazing job holding this place together. They have been short handed for some time( which has affected some services) due to the covid and some other reasons. They have improved the food service dramatically and removed some problem employees. Yes there are some meals I do not like but that is because I don't particularly like them not because there is a preparation issue. The managers here are always available and willing to try to fix what they can. I have to say that I have never seen the staff or my fellow residents this happy since I moved in, we do have some resident that hate every thing and every one is doing a horrible job, but that 2% or less of our population have most likely felt that way about everything most of there life. Salmon Creek keep up the good work, I will be here for many years God willing.

My parents are at Salmon Creek. They have been through a change of management recently. The food has really gone downhill. Supposedly they can't get the menus out too far in advance because the printer in their office is broken. When my dad told me that last night I said, "Are they not receiving rent that they can't afford to keep their facilities up?" I'm not really very happy with Salmon Creek right now because of the amount that my folks pay. I don't think they're doing a good job. I notice almost every week when they get their beds changed and they get fresh towels, in the entire time that my mother has been there, I've never seen any new towels. For what they're getting for their rent, with the amount that my folks are paying, I think that the facility has really gone downhill and I think there needs to be some upgrades and some things done to it. I would like to write a letter to their company about it, but my folks really don't want me to because I think they're afraid that they will be thought of as troublemakers. As far as the people who work there, the ones that I come in contact with, for instance, the woman who cleans the apartment for them, I think that they do the best they can for the time that they're allotted. However, I still go in there every two or three months and do a complete cleaning and dusting because they're not allowed to touch or move anything on dressers and nightstands, which I can understand. The staff that I met have been friendly. The size and the layout of the apartment are really good as far as for my folks and the ease of living. It's good. They have an issue though with one thing. My mother cannot really walk anymore, so she either has to be in a wheelchair or she has to be sitting down in her walker, but for that entire facility they only have one elevator and the rest are all stairs. If somebody were trapped, she wouldn't be able to get out. My dad wouldn't be able to help her, unless she is in a wheelchair, and how is he going to get a wheelchair downstairs?

We visited Salmon Creek Gracious Retirement Living. It's very bright with lots of natural light in all of the rooms and dining rooms. The staff was very friendly. It's located right next to a hospital. They had activities like cards and things like that, and they're very good on the transportation. The price was reasonable. Their food was too bland for me, but that's OK.

If you are considering retirement living for you or a loved one, ASK THIS IMPORTANT QUESTION. "If my loved one dies or becomes acutely ill and must move immediately, will your 30 day notice to vacate be enforced?" In nearly all senior living settings the contract stipulates a 30 day notice to vacate. At Salmon Creek Retirement Living, Boise, this stipulation is applied even in the event of death or acute sudden illness necessitating a move. At move in, my mother was also charged a security deposit of $1045. My mother's SECURITY DEPOSIT of $1045.00 was ARBITRARILY applied to the 30 day notice to vacate. My mother sustained serious pelvic and hip injuries, was in the hospital for nearly a month, and COULD NOT RETURN to Salmon Creek but the 30 day notice to vacate was enforced and her security deposit of $1045 was CONFISCATED AND ARBITRARILY retained by Salmon Creek. There are a lot of pitfalls and unknowns when you care for a senior loved one. ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS UPFRONT AND AVOID UNEXPECTED EXPENSES LATER.

We visited Salmon Creek. I had a chance to eat their food, it was delicious, and the dining room was nice. They have quite a few activities. They had Bingo, car games, music, and they take side trips. I liked the staff I met. I saw an activity room where they played cards.

Salmon Creek seems to run a good establishment. The staff gave me a good tour. They answered all the questions I had. I thought they did very well in showing me what the facility had to offer. It was just too far away. The dining room was a large communal dining space. Salmon Creek was a good-sized facility.

Salmon Creek was a lovely facility, but they only have independent living. The staff was very friendly and great with follow up. They have an independent company that can provide assistance but you have to pay for each service. My mom really liked it.

Salmon Creek was a very nice community but expensive. The people are very friendly. The lunch that I had there was very good. The apartments were very good, and they have all sorts of activities. I wish they were a little less expensive.

Salmon Creek is a lovely looking facility. It's small but it’s nice inside. The people seem very friendly. I think I went there twice, once during Christmas (we were given a poinsettia to take home) and once when I went with a lady friend. They showed us a couple of apartments and I don’t think they have garages. They have a beautiful dining room with a grand piano in it. Somebody played the piano and we had something to eat. They have a very good chef. They also have a beauty parlor in there. They have their own van so they can take everybody shopping and to doctor’s appointments. They have exercise classes for seniors every day.

They gave my friend his first four months at half price in Salmon Creek. He got a one bedroom for the price of a studio type, and this included three meals and linen laundry. The facility is also fairly new. Last time I talked to him he said everything is going well so far. It's near a medical facility and a school but apart from that, there are no other facilities nearby.

It was a nice a place and the price is very reasonable. They have a very excellent living environment. My mother in law got a studio apartment that has a little kitchen and a bedroom. She has her private bathroom in there. Their studios could have one bedroom or two-bedrooms and they got various sizes of apartments. They have a lot of activities that she enjoys. She is also provided 3 meals a day so she doesn't have to worry about cooking. Everyday she considers herself very lucky to be there. We are all very happy to have found Salmon Creek.
