"I liked the Avista Nampa very much because it was kind of small and homey. I thought the gentleman who helped me was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I'm leaning, if I get a choice, towards Avista. I liked the way it was laid out very much. The whole building surrounds a courtyard that has big, old trees in it, and there are birds and gardens. It was very accessible."

"We were quite impressed. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We were able to ascertain what was available. The rooms that we saw were very adequate. The living atmosphere was fine. We talked to some of the residents and they seemed to be very happy. They pointed out some things to us that they were happy with and enjoyed. The dining area was spacious and inviting. There was a good indoor/outdoor relationship there. They had flowers on the table, and it was just very lovely."

"It was wonderful, the location was not feasible at all, but the assisted living facility was very good. Wonderful rooms. They also had a memory care center, a wonderful dining room, and lots of activities. I liked it very much, but again the location was not good for me; it’s about 15 miles away. I thought they have a wonderful activity director. The rooms compared to others were wonderful. They have a different layout which is instead of long straight halls, they had a corner; there are four rooms built around the corner."

"I am so happy here. It is quiet and peaceful. There is a large patio area and meandering walkway around the complex to get my exercise. The staff provides a food pantry and even delivered eggs and milk for free. It is in a convenient place close to shops and restaurants. The other residents are kind and nice. I. Enjoy my life here!"

"What we loved about Edgewood Spring Creek - Eagle was that the staff was just wonderful. The director was so knowledgeable and very caring. They don't have a turnover in the staffing. The director had been there 13 years and that makes the difference. That's what I was attracted to with this place. It's a smaller place. They only had 32 residents, so it was nice. It was excellent. What stood out was the staff and the longevity of the staff. The activity director had been there forever and she had this wonderful party going when we got there and we surprised them. We didn't let them know we were there. I talked to some of the residents and they had a lot of wonderful things to say. It's very cheery and bright. We were going to switch mom to there, but she refused to move. The studio apartment was clean, bright, painted, and had a nice carpet. It was nice and close to the dining room. According to the residents, the food was good. They brought in emotional support dogs that worked with the residents there. That was kind of a nice thing, too. I was impressed. It's a lot older than what we were used to, but it was a very nice place. I would have liked to have tried it. I liked the fact that it was smaller."

"We moved into Paramount Parks in July. My wife was in the memory care but she passed away and I'm in independent living. It's good except that after living in a home, it's small. The outdoor area is really nice. The location is really good for us because we live just a couple of miles away and it is right close to the church that we go to. We chose it mainly because there's memory care, assisted and independent living in the same building, so we stay in the same building whereas before we're separated. There's a variety of food. Since I'm independent and most of the people here are assisted, I have a hard time communicating with them. It is hard to carry on a conversation, so I haven't got to know any of them yet."

"I went to Spring Creek Eagle Island and I was looking for assisted and independent living. The tour was wonderful. The woman that took us for the tour was well informed. She was polite and super helpful. I was very happy. The apartments were more than adequate. It's light years ahead of the facility that my in-laws are in."

"We have chosen Table Rock Senior Living at Paramount for my wife. She will be moving to their memory care unit next week. It's the nicest place that I've seen. The other memory care facilities were horrible. We visited it a few weeks ago, and the people who took us around were nice. The facility is a wonderful place. The room is big enough for a bed, a chair, and a dresser. The upkeep of the place is nice."

"My mom moved to Grace Assisted Living at State Street. It's clean. The halls are bright and spacious for all those people in walkers and assisted walking devices to get by. The people are very friendly both the residents and the staff. The staff have been very attentive to my mom. They've worked very hard at accommodating her for her dietary issues, and it worked well within her financial limitations. There are many different activities during the day, throughout the week, card games, and bingos, and they have a Bible study that you can or cannot attend. It's up to any person. There's exercise, there are movie nights or movie days. They have programs. People come in to perform piano, singing, and light entertainment. They've had therapy animals. There's a small hair salon in the facility. There's a gym. There's physical therapy for those who need it. They have outside gardens that individuals can work in if they choose. The dining area is quite large and roomy. So far the food has been good. She enjoyed it."

"The Cottages of Boise only had a double room that was twice the price. It's a small facility. It's a 16-bed facility, and they seem like they know the residents. The layout had the living room and kitchen in the central part of the facility. They had memory care. They had a salon, activities, and outings."
