"Ivy Park at Laguna Woods is a beautiful facility. The apartments are among the largest in the area that I saw. But most importantly, the staff is caring and very present. They have a nice variety of food and it's very well prepared. I would eat there if it were a restaurant. They have a library and a salon. The facility is beautiful."

"One of the things that I liked at Crestavilla was that their two-person units for memory care had a vestibule that was probably eight by eight. The bathroom was off of that, and each bedroom had its own separate door. You're sharing a bathroom, but you could go into your room and close your door. So if your roommate had friends, they would be in their own bedroom. One unit was larger and one was smaller than the A and B units. But it looked like for someone in memory care the B unit would be plenty large. The one thing that I did not like was that they had a roll-in shower but there was no built-in shower chair. And that seemed sort of unusual for assisted living memory care to me. They had a gorgeous aquarium in the lobby area. They had valet parking that was complimentary, and then a doorman opened the door when I arrived. This was a walk-in visit unannounced. You have to sign in and out of the desk on a computer screen instead of just signing your name on a tablet when you come in. The staff seemed wonderful. Jeff, the sales manager who gave me the tour, was very friendly and answered all my questions. After we toured, he sent me a video of the two-bedroom unit that was vacant, so I could send it off to my sisters so they could take a look at it. I also liked that Myra called for follow-up and she was very fun and cheerful and seemed like she was very good with everyone. Everyone there seemed to know the names of all their residents. The facilities were very nice. They were rehabbing the unit that I toured. They just put in new lights in the bedrooms and painted everything. I was impressed with the level that they were using for upkeep and improvements as apartments became vacant. I like that they have a bistro and a grill so you can get hamburgers or sandwiches and things. It was a different dining menu option than just sitting in the dining room."

"I saw Ivy Park at San Juan Capistrano and toured assisted living. It didn't have the independent living portion that I was looking for. It's a beautiful property, and it is semi-well-located but there are no facilities that you could walk to near it, and that was a drawback to me. It was well-done and well-kept, though. I looked at the one-bedroom apartments, and they were nice. The people I met with were very knowledgeable and helpful. All the occupants I met also seemed to be very happy and congenial. There were two reasons, and I did not choose them. The lack of independent living and the location having no services close to it. There were no stores or anything that you could walk to."

"Seems to be a lovely facility. Nice rooms, plenty of planned activities and events, and additional "common rooms" on the various floors with puzzles, games, computers, etc. Dining hall is very nice and the food is quite good. Nice little cafe and outdoor sitting area. Staff is very kind and helpful. "

"The Fountains At Sea Bluffs was quite pricey but absolutely gorgeous. Some of the units had ocean views, and it is the type of place where you buy your unit and pay a pretty high monthly fee. And then, if you need assistance down the line, they just come to your unit to take care of you, and you don’t have to move out. It was hard for me to not buy a place there because it was so beautiful. But it was just too small for my liking because I want to have lots of choices and be very active. "

"The staff here was friendly. The facility was beautiful and there were a lot of interesting details and features that made it very special. The dining area was nice. The individuals can order off a menu, like at a restaurant. There were nice outdoor spaces and opportunities for recreation and programming, like music. Everyone was accommodating."

"Corona RCFE was very nice, and the people were very friendly. The grounds were good. The room is perfect for my mother who is 92. She just needs a room with a little bed, a chair, and a TV. That's all she needs. It looks like she can go out and go to the dining room area, and things like that, and they have those things available too. The staff who helped me was very friendly and answered all the questions. She was very good. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area was fine. For activities, they have a little room where people can go and they can meet with each other and play games and so on, so that's fine."

"I would recommend it. I loved it. They take care of people. I liked their staff and everything about it. The staff was attentive and listened to what people say. I also liked that they had transportation. The facility was clean."

"I thought the moving my dad in was going to be hard just because its a new environment but my dad adapted very well and that was because the staff welcomed him with open arms as if they had already met him before. I've gone everyday since then to visit him and he just seems so happy being there. I'm glad i made this move where not only is my dad happy but i'm happy and comfortable with him being there."

"My Mother Fran was at the Meridian but unfortunately recently passed. She absolutely loved the team of providers like family. She was taken care of 5 star with Love, compassion at every level. I will miss everyone there myself. "

"I chose Park Plaza for my husband because of the service they provide. He has his own apartment that's small but very nice. They have activities like bingo and various exercise programs; it's a fun place. "

"My aunt and uncle moved to Bayshire Yorba Linda. They can accommodate a lot of things. The grounds are kept clean and the atmosphere is very inviting. It was very spacious. It didn't seem like everything was kind of crammed in. The people that we met there were very helpful and very kind. We haven't run into any problems as far as helping my aunt and uncle. The food is very good. My uncle is not as social as my aunt. Even within memory care, they have a lot of activities to stimulate their brain, and to keep them busy. We've been very happy with the available activities. The value of memory care is awesome. It's pretty reasonable."

"It is in a nice location. There's not a lot of buildings and things around and I liked that very much. The staff that I met was very nice and very welcoming. The room that I visited was a nice size, but it's just a little older than what I would prefer. Still, I liked the way the buildings were situated. They had some balconies in the apartments and I liked that they had an outdoor garden/area where you could go out and sit. So, you weren't expected to sit in your room when you didn't want to. They also told me about the other levels of care and they gave me brochures. So, they were very informative. All the questions that I needed to know were answered."
