"The community areas in Belmont Village Sabre Springs are very homey with people using them every time I’ve been in. There are always people in the living room, which is the first area you see. There is always a lot of people in the dining area and using the facilities and always some interaction going on. My mother is receiving very good care. She’s not a very easy person to deal with, so I give them a lot of credit for that. The grounds, rooms, and dining area were very nice. The neighborhood around Belmont Village is also very nice. I’ve seen them bring up food to my mom on a tray because she does not want to go to the dining area, and it looked pretty good to me. Every day, they have some activities going on, like bands and singers visiting and wine and cheese parties. I would recommend this place to other people. "

"The admissions staff at Las Villas Del Norte was fabulous; they exceeded all of my customer service expectations. They were incredibly helpful for a first-time family trying to figure out how to do this. They answered everything I asked and helped me with things I didn't even know I needed there. The facility was fine. The day when I was there, it was under renovation. They were ripping up all the carpets and they were painting. And so it's not like it was beautiful that day, but it told me that they invest in their place to keep it nice and newly renovated. I haven't been back to see the renovations done, but the rooms were very clean. The facility was beautiful and has nice outdoor areas, which was important to me. My father-in-law doesn't like to be inside. So having a beautiful outdoor lawn area and social areas, they were very intentional in helping to make connections for the residents. As a male, they already had other men lined up to meet him and welcome him and make him feel comfortable. So if I was going to go anywhere, it would be there. They were just fabulous. The dining area was large and inviting; a great conversation area. So the environment looks very welcoming. They have a nice menu and they had a good selection of menus to pick from. The outdoors were calming, relaxing, large, spacious, and had beautiful outdoor gardens. There are gazebos that you could sit under and you just either sit by yourself or sit with someone else and have a conversation."

"I toured. The apartments are very nice. They're nicely done. They had a refrigerator and a microwave. I think they even had a coffee pot. They had everything in there unless you want to bring in something extra. The person who gave the tour was really good, knew what he was doing, and very helpful. And they contact you right away, so that's really nice."

"Lantern Crest was great because when I first moved her there, we moved her into independent care, a brand new building across from the memory care assisted living building. It just opened last January, and it was awesome, but her dementia was progressing, so I had to move her again from that building over to the memory care ward. They are both excellent and reasonable compared to the some of the ones I found locally. They are taking good care of her, and they are communicating. They help coordinate with you to move people in. They check on them and make sure they have got everything -- very nice facility. The independent living building said you need to either have a full time person watching or you can move her over into the other building -- which is memory care and is excellent also -- and that’s what I did. The rooms are unbelievable. They come in, vacuum, and dump your trash. They have a full dining room, and part of the rent is the Sue Maple’s are paid for, and it is like a restaurant; it isn’t like a cafeteria. They will sit down, and it’s a nice place to order whatever they want. They have all kinds of facilities. They have hiking and buses that will them to the bank and to the grocery store. I ate at their office, and it’s better than Soup Plantation. It’s set up so that they order from the menu, but if they don’t like anything on the menu, they just say I would like this for lunch or dinner, and they will cook it for them. "

"Westmont of Carmel Valley is a place that I would want to retire to. It is beautiful. It looks very open. It had a lot of beautiful outdoor space. I wanted to sit down and go knit with some of the women who were there. The different places to eat at looked lovely and open. It's a beautiful place where you could just retire and spend your days. It feels more kind of a resort. I liked their bar/bistro area where you could just sit for the day with a drink or a snack. It was big and bright. The downside was the price, because you have to pay for that beauty, and it's definitely on the high end, but if you had the money, that would be a wonderful place for you to go."

"I liked the people at Grossmont Gardens. My mother moved in there. Everybody was really friendly and really helpful. The rooms were really nice. There is a lot of light and trees around there. It was just a really beautiful setting for my mom. There are people in and out, helping her all the time. Before she went in there she was very depressed, and now she is just so happy. Every time I walk in the room she has a smile on her face, and we sit there and talk about the people who are helping her, and she is so excited. She loves the food. I had one meal there with her, and it was very good. The dining room is very pleasant; it has a lot of outside light, so the rooms are well lit and have nice views. It's only fifteen minutes from me. It's close to everything; the hospital's right there. There's all kinds of shopping right by her. It's all within a fifteen-minute drive."

"Our Dad had a stroke in early May 2023 and at 94 lost his ability to walk and take care of himself. We live in Encinitas, so wanted him to be close to us. After going to look at several Assisted Living/Independent Living Facilities we were quite surprised to find that Westmont Of Encinitas was far superior than all the others and actually was quite less in cost. The facility is just slightly over two years old and the staff is friendly, food is great and the activities are plentiful. Just in a short 2 months he is walking on his own, living in his great bright 1 bedroom apartment and going to Bridge 3 times a week, going to Ice Cream socials, and exercising and building his strength up with their great Physical Therapists. We brought him down from Costa Mesa to Westmont of Encinitas on May 25, 2023 and he is thriving in such a short time. I would highly recommend Westmont of Encinitas for any loved one. Our father is happy and social and healthy now. This facility is a 5 Stars for sure."

"Belmont Village Cardiff by the Sea is one building, so I have seen the independent living and also the assisted living; they're the same apartments but just have different services. It is a sunny, open, cheerful place, and it's welcoming. I visited a one-bedroom apartment of about, goodness, seven or eight hundred square feet. It's very well designed and laid out with a large open living and dining area, with a bedroom to the side. It's fully equipped with a small but usable kitchenette and washer and dryer. It was very good. I especially liked the floor plan; it was not chopped up into small units. It was open, which was very nice and flexible. The one who assisted me during the tour was Therese or Theresa. She was a fine representative, very informative, and candid about what they had to offer. And what was attractive to me is the experience for the independent and assisted living people to be integrated. They do not put the assisted living people off in a facility of their own, but with different dining and different activities, it's all the same. It just simply differs in what services are provided in the rooms, and Therese was very good in explaining that. I didn't eat there, but I saw the dining area, and it's a pleasant, open place. I looked at the menu, and frankly, it's pretty typical of some of the places I've seen. As far as the types of food, they have salmon and the pasta every day available, and then there are various interesting sounding meals daily. I observed the calendar of activities and excursions, field trips that they offer, which were varied and attractive. It's very very nice, and as reflected on the price, it's one of the most expensive ones."

"We toured Belmont Village La Jolla. They were nice. It's too expensive and too much of a commute for my brother. They had activities. The food was great. They had a courtyard. They had views. They had all kinds of interactions with the residents. They had outings for the residents. They were just wonderful. The rooms were big and spacious, and the studios were wonderful."

"Monte Vista Village was very, very nice. I was very happy with the tour. I loved everything. I love the studio the staff showed me, but I think I'm more interested in a one-bedroom. The closets are big. I did meet a few residents, and they were very friendly. I see that they're upgrading, and that's what I'm looking forward to. I'm very sociable. I love talking to people and meeting new people, so I think that's going to probably be the place for me. I like the Monte Vista. The staff was very nice. She showed everything. She answered all my questions and she was very, very knowledgeable of the place. The receptionist was very nice, happy, and smiled. She introduced herself and then kind of ran down everything in a quick manner. I liked the outside of the facility, the gardens, everything. I liked that it's all on one floor, so it's easy to access."

"The community is caring and all care is personalized. The team really goes above and beyond to make residents feel welcome, safe and cares for! The studio apartment for our mom and dad was newly renovated with New flooring blinds and paint. Arcadia made sure everything g was spotless and ready for move in! Food is great and staff is so helpful with being meals to room if needed. Every time we have any questions the staff is prompt and helpful."

"I moved in last month. I think that it has a very welcoming staff and people remember your name. People help you to acclimate yourself. I've only been here a month, but I'm very pleased that I made the decision. We have a cleaning once a week, they serve three meals a day, and they have a menu that you could order at any time during the day. You don't have to necessarily go at the designated times for dining. So that gives some choices because of that. I am waiting because I am in what they call the villas, which allows me to have a patio and an outside entrance, and I don't have to walk down a hallway. If I need additional help, they claim that that would be given to me, and their goal is to keep you in this area as long as they possibly can. I'm very pleased that I've done this. It was a very difficult choice for me, but I feel like it was the right one. The food is good. There's quite a variety. There are two choices every night for dinner and one choice for lunch. I usually don't eat breakfast. I just stay in my unit and eat breakfast because I like to read the paper. It's adequate. It's not a Michelin, but it is certainly varied. So you have lots of choices. So if you don't want something on the menu, you can order from the menu that is available all day long. So like last evening, this woman that I had dinner with, wanted something off of the all-day menu, and I ordered something. They provide an exercise class every morning at nine. And I haven't gotten into too many of the activities here. People tell me that the anagrams activity is a lot of fun. They have love on a leash coming on Tuesdays, I'm allowed to have my dog. So that makes me happy, and so you can have pets even in the other areas of the facility. In other words, if you have a unit that is enclosed in a hotel, you can still have your dog or your cat. I am in this group that has fun as I'm learning how to play bridge. They do take you on scenic rides. They take you shopping. I'm still driving so I can shop, take my own shopping trips. One of the most significant things I think for anybody is that you do not need to put in a big chunk of money to live in this facility. You pay month to month. You don't like it, you can go someplace else. And one of the things that I have learned from a woman who does work in the assisted living retirement communities throughout the United States, she said to me one time, do not give them your money to invest in for their benefit., and that's what happened with some of these places."

"We went here. The staff was very nice. They were patient. The tenants seemed to really love the people that were taking care of things, and they seemed to be happy. The location was great because it was close to shopping areas, restaurants, and grocery stores. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. "
