"I toured. I liked the facility and the environment was very pleasant. I liked the staff. They are friendly. We met a lady who had lived there for ten years, and it's good to hear from the residents there. We got a really good tour and Shaun was really good. He was very helpful and answered a lot of questions. I like the amenities they offer. The environment looks clean and sociable. They have a salon, a game room, and an exercise room. They have a movie theater room and a lounge where the residents can listen to music. They have a baby grand. They have an area where you can have coffee and a cafe. I didn't see a courtyard, but in the front of the facility there is a covered patio and I'm sure they come out there. They have quite a few outings planned within the month. It's a nice place. It is small and limited in terms of respite care. They do not offer a trial. My mother could have stayed there for maybe a weekend to see how it feels and how she likes it, but they don't have that set up."

"We went to Redwood Terrace, and we were most interested in it. What we like about Redwood Terrace is they have cottages, duplexes, they have several free standing cottages, and they have fourplexes. We chose a duplex -- we actually put money down on it -- and they are very nice about 1200 square feet, two bedrooms, and they do painting on the inside. We came close, but then we decided that we were just going to stay in our own house. Everything was very positive. I thought the nursing care facility are all private rooms; the rooms open to a patio, and that is very nice. It’s also a lot less expensive than some other places, very reasonable. We had lunch there about four times. When my adult children and me visited, I would say the food at the lunch were very average, and it was a buffet although they say that you can have a table service if you requested; it’s just OK. We went through the whole facility, and the skilled nursing was very good. All individual rooms was nice; they didn’t have to share rooms. They are building a new memory care facility so it will be complete. "

"I went to Cypress at Junipers Senior Apartments. I thought it was awesome. It's new, it's clean, and the surrounding areas are nice. The people that were there that we talked to were nice. It was great. They're brand new. The apartment is pristine and clean. It was a good size. It was very nice. A friend of mine is moving there from Hawaii, so I'm considering getting a place there."

"I toured Westmont of Escondido. They were pretty much all-inclusive as far as my needs were. I liked all their facilities. It was well taken care of. The man I spoke with mentioned that a lot of the staff have been there for a long time, and that's good, too."

"Belmont Village Sabre Springs was very nice. The people were very friendly. I liked it. It was beautiful. The staff provided quite a bit of information, answered any questions I had, and were very professional. They gave me food, but I haven't tasted it yet. The menu looked good. The place was very clean. The common area was very clean. They're renovating some stuff there now, so some of it's behind plastic and there's a lot of updating. It seems like a very new facility. I'm surprised they're even doing more updating. They have patios, a putting green, and a barbecue place. It's very nice. I saw one room on the second floor and one on the third floor. They keep everything really new. The whole place looked brand new. There's a washer and dryer provided and a big refrigerator. It looked like there's a lot of food choices."

"It was a very nice place. The staff was nice and friendly; I met one of the staff members before when I was looking for a retirement living for my aunt. The rooms were nice but small, and the place was clean and nice-looking. "

"Mom is in a studio apartment at Elmcroft of Las Villas. We like the people who work there and we like how they care for the residents. They were friendly and kind. I also like the cleanliness of the facility. It had a nice fresh smell and their lighting is pretty good. It has an outdoor area that is lovely with grass and trees near the swimming pool. Their dining room is pretty and we like their food. They have a selection where if you don’t want what is being served, you can select from several sandwiches and several salads. They have a salad bar and a soup bar. They do some activities, like they go on scenic drives, attend concerns, and go on walks to several parks. The facility has a happy feeling to it. "

"We went to Lantern Crest Senior Living. The place was gorgeous. It was just very nice and very clean. You walk in and there's a very nice, big fountain from the ceiling to the base of the fountain. They have a movie theater and a snack bar. They have their own little family kitchen so if you wanted to have a birthday party with your loved one or whatnot and if you wanted to have a private little party with your own family. They have a crafting room, a swimming pool, and bocce. They had a whole bunch of stuff that was available for the people. The place was amazing, and everybody was very, very helpful. If my dad would be able to afford to come back to California, I would put him there within a second. That's probably the place I would go to. The staff didn't bombard me with emails or phone calls and she didn't kind of harass me, so I really like their facility better than the ones that I looked at online. The staff who toured us was amazing. She was very good and very informative. My dad couldn't walk very fast, so she even got him a wheelchair. There were people all over that were very helpful. Anything that you needed, it seemed like they were there within a few seconds if you phoned or whatever you needed to do. She was working through her lunch to help me and my dad, so that was cool. It wasn't a bother for her for us to come through and talk to her and stuff. I liked her. She was very helpful and very caring. You could tell she cared about her job and the residents that she was helping as well. The staff also showed us the restaurant that they have. She told us that you'll never eat the same thing twice. They had a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And if you did want family to ever come to eat with you, I think it looked like it was $2 or $3."

"The staff at Villa Monticello Assisted Living is wonderful. It’s a very small community with only 29 residents. The food is good and they are very helpful. The assisted living and memory care unit are all together in one area. They have some little exercises, they were singing yesterday, crossword puzzles and so on. My husband has a lot of freedom there because the residents can be outside. I’m very pleased with the place."

"I visited Right Choice Senior Living, and then I also spoke to the owner on the phone. The owner, for some reason, didn't know that I was going to be there, so he wasn't there. One of the caregivers assisted me. The tour was good. I liked it. Edgar was the caregiver, and he seemed to be very attentive to each resident. Each resident wasn't tied to a strict schedule. The residents could go outdoors if they wanted, but no gym or library that I was shown."
