This place had many amenities, such as community rooms and laundry facilities. Often a bus would pick the residents up for shopping trips. There as a nurse available on call. It sounds very fancy, but I remember one of the reasons we liked it so much was because it accepted my grandmothers' "social security something or another" (I was young so my financial understanding wasn't that great) This was a major reason why my paternal grandmother also lived there for the latter part of her life.
