Everything was very nice and clean at Brookdale West Palm Beach. The apartment was very nice and spacious. Everything was good. So far, so good. The facility was very nice. It's not the top of the line because I've seen other places, but for the price, it's very nice. It's clean and it's easy to get around. It's a good place, especially for my loved one. I didn't eat there, but I was with my loved one when he had dinner, and it was very nice, nicely served, and a very nice amount of food that they give you.

I toured Brookdale West Palm Beach. The facility was nice. The personnel were very nice and accommodating. The facility was clean and appropriate for the clientele that they were showing, but they didn't understand that my husband didn't fit there for them.

I toured Brookdale West Palm Beach. Its location is not in a very safe area. If you go off the campus, it's not where you want to be alone. But once you go into the campus, the grounds are lovely. The public activity rooms are well done. However, the apartment bedrooms were too small, and there was no access to the outside. I had to go down the hallway and out of the door, as opposed to going out on the balcony. That would be important as far as we're concerned. So those are my negatives. The staff who gave the tour was terrific. She was young, vibrant, and informative. She was wonderful. I saw their dining area. At the time that I visited, they were having a cocktail party and hors d'oeuvres. I went in there for a short while and I listened to the chattering and all that type of thing. I had a very hard time finding the place. And you have to go all the way through the hallway, which was very dank and dark and the carpeting looked dingy. It needed a bright yellow carpet or paint the walls green or blue or something to give it some light.

Brookdale West Palm Beach was excellent, except I told them the truth about my friend's income, and they gave me a price that was too expensive. So, I had to reach out someplace else, but I would have put my loved one in there, however this is what they did after. After I went with the other place, they called me and said that they would match it. That isn't the way you should do business. It was closer to my house and I liked it better, but they reached out for $5,000 a month and he doesn't make that. The staff was fine. The room I saw was a studio apartment. It wasn't as good as what I got at the other place. I think they had more things for him to do. They had a beautiful art room with an art teacher. He would have loved that. I liked it.

Brookdale West Palm Beach had nice little apartments. They had a full stove and it was very neat, clean, and looked homey. So, it looked very nice. The staff who showed me around was very nice, asked many questions, gave me all the information that I wanted, and answered questions. She was very helpful. It was a very nice place.

My sister moved into Brookdale West Palm Beach. We chose it because it was the best place for the money. It's a gated community, so it's very secure, and it has a beautiful lake with fountains. The place is very clean and the staff was very helpful when we were moving in. They are very friendly, very caring, very kind, and considerate. They're trying to help her get to know other people and encouraging her to go down to the dining room and to be more outgoing. Her apartment has a full kitchen, a full bath, a full bedroom, and everyone has a balcony. They have someone come and clean her apartment once a week, and she's very kind and caring toward my sister. They have a beautiful dining room. They have waiters and waitresses that come and take your order and serve you like a regular restaurant. She said the food is excellent. They're very delicious. They give them four different choices every night. They get a free breakfast and a free dinner every day, and they also have a little snack bar place that you could go in and get coffee or tea or little snacks any time of day. They have an art room, a pool, a patio, and the cable and water are included in the price. They'll take them out to lunch. They'll take them to the movies. They'll take them to the doctors. They have all kinds of activities going on all the time posted everywhere so they can see it. They have Publix coming to give the flu shots and different shots to the residents.

Brookdale West Palm Beach was an older place, but it had a lot to offer. The tour person was a five-star. Two meals a day are included, and they'll clean your place and do the laundry. The apartment was fine. The place had its own private entrance. It's not on the main street and that's a plus.

My friend was a resident at Brookdale West Palm Beach for 10 months and it was a wonderful facility. If they had a nursing area there, she would have stayed. The staff was very good, very caring, and seemed to know what they were doing. They've got arts and crafts and bingo. They've got a swimming pool and a computer area. There's nothing you could want that they don't have.

I moved into Brookdale West Palm Beach. I like the fact that they have three stories, and a total of ten buildings. Each building has a single elevator. They have 30 acres with a lot of full grown, beautiful trees. There are three ponds. The main one has two fountains. There are a lot of birds and animals, so you can enjoy nature. The food is very good. I'm extremely happy here. They have a form of gymnastics every day at 10:00AM. They have an outing to the restaurants once a week, and they take you three days a week to visit doctors. The other two days you can go to Publix and Walmart. Fridays are a super big one; they will take you to certain appointments up to 10 to 15 miles. They also do films and play bingo. There are a lot of activities here. They have incredible apartments here.

Brookdale West Palm Beach was excellent. I liked the amenities. The lady that gave me the tour was also excellent. She was very helpful. The food was good. The facility was very clean. The apartments were great. They had exercise classes and a pool. They had gardens and in fact, that's what drew me there. They showed a video online of the guy in the garden working and then she gave me a plant holder and some seeds to bring home and build my own.

Brookdale West Palm Beach was exceptional because it was a specially built unit, I guess way back they only had one of those and it was nice. It overlooks the pool and water. The apartments as such were adequate. But this particular unit was exceptional. I have three cats, and they were very accommodating. They said I could bring all my cats with me. And it had a washer and dryer in the unit. It was nice. The other couple of apartments were adequate for somebody. And I think the people were very nice and super clean. So I really like them. If I would have gone, that would be the place. The staff was very sweet, very nice, and very accommodating. She was very busy, but she did take her time to take us around and answered all our questions. And so walking away from there, I was very happy. They gave us a little cake to take home with us, so that was nice. The dining room and everything were nice and clean and airy, which is very important to me. It was not something tucked away somewhere in the corner, but the dining room was very bright and open.

The tour at Brookdale West Palm Beach was satisfactory. They showed me the living quarters and walked me around the whole complex. I liked it. The staff was very nice. The rooms were excellent. The rooms were nicely set up. It was one bedroom with a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. They had a rec room. The staff showed me a room in the lobby. They provide your breakfast and dinner.

I've visited Brookdale West Palm Beach. What I like best about it was the nice location and the security, because it was a gated place. The rooms were nice and the level of care offered was good. What I didn't like was that it's too big and my father has limited mobility. The tour itself was good, and the staff who gave the tour was Natalie. She was very knowledgeable, she was great, and she explained everything. They had everything, they had amenities, game rooms, and shuttle buses for shopping. They had everything that my father would need.

I visited Brookdale West Palm Beach. It's very big. It's almost like an apartment complex. So it's a little bit overwhelming if somebody is not fairly active. But for somebody who is very active and wanted to be out of their room a lot, it was very good. They're also older, but they've done a good job of redoing the community center where everything mostly takes place. But the apartments were a little not as nice. The rooms had a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. The one who gave me the tour was really good. It's a much older facility so the landscaping could use some attention, also, it's in a little bit of a not-as-nice neighborhood.

My mother is in Brookdale West Palm Beach, and she's very happy there. Her apartment is nice. She's been there for five years now. The staff has been very attentive. The food has been very good, and she likes it very much. She is in a one-bedroom apartment and it's rather large, and she likes it very much.

Brookdale West Palm Beach has been very courteous and conscientious about my mom's care and keeping me in the loop. The facility is well laid out. It's very spacious and well-organized with lots of pretty scenery. They have a lot of classes, a lot of clubs, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a gym. So, they have a lot of things going on.

I have toured Brookdale West Palm Beach. It's a beautiful, resort-style independent living. We toured the 2-bedroom and 2-bath apartment and it was very spacious. It's very, very amenable and it had a washer and dryer inside, which was nice. Everyone was friendly and informative. We didn't try the food, but we got a tour of the restaurant. We saw the whole area and we saw the menus. When we walked around, there were people either playing cards or mahjong. There were people by the pool. We went through the fitness center, no activities were going on at the time but I think that they just had their exercise programs earlier in the day when we visited. It was all very nice, the library and the fitness center. My husband and I were very impressed. Upon driving up to the place, it looked like they could do a better job on the landscaping. It was kind of shabby but nothing horrible but it wasn't as nice and lush, as I would have maybe thought it would be. Even a little bit of the driveway in the parking lot area, the pavement was cracked and crumbled. Just a little more work and the front exterior, I think, would do. Once we got inside and we saw the facilities, everything was very nice, but the outside needed a little bit of work.

I went to Brookdale West Palm Beach. They're nice. I saw their workout area. I saw two different apartments. I saw the dining facility, the game room area, and they have a nice, big pool. Plenty of activities, game nights. The staff was wonderful. It is very dated, the ceilings in the halls are really low, the windows on either end of the hall, they don't have blinds, curtains, or anything, and it looks kind of institutional. The apartments had a funny smell. I'm not sure what it was, but it was pretty dark and dated. My brother is active, he drives and stuff, so if you wanted to go out and go shopping, I wouldn't even feel safe for him to be in that part of Okeechobee. It's not a good area at all. There's no cute shopping or restaurants he could go to.

I went to Brookdale West Palm Beach for my father. It was very nice. I've enjoyed the people that I met. The facility was really nice, and I really enjoyed the rooms. It was open and spacious. It looked like it would be a great place for my dad. The staff was great. I saw the common area, a showroom, and the dining area.

Brookdale West Palm Beach is very nice. We moved my sister to their assisted living a couple of weeks ago. We chose it because it's close to my home and it has a good reputation. They're a bit busy, and there are some things that they could improve, but nothing really that important. The staff is very compassionate and very nice. They're very good at cooking. There were not very many activities, but she's not up to participating anyway. Right now, she's in a nicely furnished apartment.

I thought that the people in Brookdale West Palm Beach were caring people. They seemed concerned with my father-in-law's needs and willing to work with us on his needs. The person who gave us the tour was very professional, and they seem like they're willing to take time in answering all my questions. They're doing some construction in there, and they have a dining area. We looked inside. We didn't go in there, but it looked very clean, and it was set up for social distancing. They have painting -- a lot of residents there like to paint -- and they have a computer room with available computers. I think it's a really good place. They're under construction right now, and they're remodeling the main building when you come in -- where the administration and the welcoming center is. It was all being remodeled when I was there a couple of weeks ago. The apartment was updated and very clean. They offered us a meal. They said we could come back sometime, and they'd offer us another meal.

We have chosen Brookdale West Palm Beach for my mom because of the price, the staff was very nice, and I like the size of the rooms. However, it's a little on the old side, and it's under construction right now. They pretty much have everything I needed. They have food, the convenience of a locked facility, and things like that. But they are re-doing it at this point in time, and I'm not pleased with a lot of what I'm seeing. The staff who attended to me were very nice and very congenial, but I didn't meet a lot of them.

I visited Brookdale West Palm Beach and I am very happy with them. They have been reaching out and trying to help in any way they can. They've been awesome. I dealt with Karen and the director called me too. They were very, very good. If I end up getting my parents to go somewhere, more than likely that's where they'll go. They have the largest rooms for people, which is why I like Brookdale in West Palm. Every other one was small. She gave me something to take home to my parents to show them that they have a whole calendar with different activities that they have going on throughout the month. Everybody I dealt with was awesome. The grounds were great. Everything seemed nice to me.

I visited Brookdale West Palm Beach. The people were very nice. The apartments were nice. I could see that they were doing renovations to make the facility better. It was a good experience. They said that the big problem was, it was just tied to the wrong direction. I did not want a half hour drive in the traffic and out of traffic to see my son, then back in to where I'm staying. The apartments that I looked at were clean. I appreciated that all the facilities included there had washers and dryers. Everything was clean and up-to-date. Their amenities are under construction. They were renovating it so it is hard for me to give an exact idea of what I thought about them. To me, it was crowded and surrounded. I would say that the community itself is like an LA sits in the city. That's not really what I want. That's my personal choice. There was an apartment complex right there, a trailer park across the street, and a 55 plus community. You get out of the immediate community and you are then in heavy traffic as compared to other cities I was used to. I've driven around New York, Washington, and Philadelphia, and all that, and it wasn't that bad. I didn't try the food.

Brookdale West Palm Beach has very nice people but I didn't like it at all. It lacks some cleanliness. The staff was very nice, the lady we talked to was very sweet and it looked like they got along well with the residents. The apartments weren't really bad, some of them were renovated because they're in the middle of renovating them, and they're spacious. The place itself needs cleaning. Their amenities were good and they had quite a few. They have pool activities, they have multiple other activities occurring every day, and they also have multiple outgoing trips daily. There's also a physician that comes to the community. All they need to do is just clean the outside of it, that's all they need to do because everything else is really nice. I know they've already renovated some parts of the building, like they've removed the carpeting and put down non-skid tiles. But the outside of the building, some of the walls black marks on it, the parking lot was full of water on some areas, the parking cement blocks were out of place and shifted to the side with leaves all over. It just needs some TLC. I was also taken aback by the neighborhood, it's not some of the better ones.

I was very impressed with Brookdale West Palm Beach. The community was good and the staff was very good. The place was very nice. I thought that the apartments were much larger than what I would have expected. They all had kitchens and laundry facilities. They were very nice. They invited us to lunch and had lunch with us. The food was good.

Brookdale West Palm Beach was fine. The apartments all looked fine too. The pool was empty. Nobody was in the pool and no activity was going on, which is why I thought it was a little too quiet there. The staff was very pleasant and very polite, although we did have to wait quite a while for them. We had an appointment but they were running over and we had to wait about an hour. The dining area looked fine. The community was very nice. However, it would be nice to have a little more activity, places to go, and things to do there.

My mother is doing good over at Brookdale West Palm Beach. She has the aide service that helps her out. The staff is very good and very professional, and they take very good care of her. They have private apartments or you can move in with another person. They have a schedule of activities. They have a library, they have exercises, and they play cards. They're really expensive. She's paying $2,000 in independent living, and if she goes to assisted, it's $3,000.

Brookdale West Palm Beach is nice, but it's kind of out of the way from things. The person who accommodated me showed me around, I saw the dining room, play room, and so on. They have a swimming pool, a library, a card room, and they also do crafts and that type of stuff. Their dining room was small, and I'm not sure if all the people would fit in there at one time.

My mother is in Brookdale West Palm Beach. They're great. They've done what we've expected, but she doesn't like it there, so she's giving them a hard time and she's being difficult. She complains and says it's terrible there, but I have found them to be very helpful. The food is good, the nursing care is good, and I really don't have any complaints. They have buses to take the residents to different places and they have activities within the building itself, but she will not participate in anything. Mom doesn't like to go to the dining room for her meals, and she wants it delivered to her. I would like to see it delivered earlier in the morning and on a more regular time to what she's used to, but I also understand they can't do that because they're feeding the majority of the residents at that time. Also, they come in and do the laundry sometimes later at night, or very early in the morning, and it's disturbing to the people who like to sleep in.

Brookdale West Palm Beach seemed to be fine. The staff member who assisted me was a good tour guide. They have activities like cards and other games, they also have a swimming pool. There were people sitting around the lobby, but there was no activity going on. It was about 3:00 p.m., so nobody was eating, but their restaurant was very nice. The waiters were dressed up nicely. I did eat there because they gave us complimentary lunch for looking around the premises. The food was fine, not big portions though, but it was adequate. They have a lodge and smaller rooms depending on how much more you can pay. The room looked OK, but it was smaller than what I'm living in now.

Visited for relative going to live there ..we drove up to gates my first impression is of a dirty gate house .. Proceded to entrance dirty cement entrance to facility .. Once inside very pleasantly decorated proceded to visit dining hall all community areas very nicely kept visited apartment family member going to live in again very pleasant location close by amenities.. Then needed to use guest bathroom by dining area surprised on how badly bathroom partitions Formica falling off broken brackets holding partitions up and spoke with resident whom also was ashamed of guest bathroom poor condition .. They add they really enjoyed living there except they were embarrassed about condition of guest bathrooms . My impression minor fixes would give a 5 star to this facility.

Brookdale West Palm Beach is fair. Each building is three stories with apartments off a long hallway. It used to be an apartment complex that they turned into an assisted living facility. My mom is in one of the largest private one-bedroom apartments. The food is good, but they serve pretty much the same things all the time without many new items being put on the menu. The aides are very friendly.

We liked Brookdale West Palm Beach. They offered us the food, and you could choose from a menu. It was really fantastic tasting food. The apartments were a nice size, and we liked it. We liked the garden area. It was like it was locked around the square like area. It was a very nice atmosphere. The clients over there seemed to be friendly and nice. We enjoyed it. The food was restaurant style which we really liked. The staff was very kind and considerate.

I loved the rooms at Brookdale West Palm Beach. I looked at a 1-bedroom that was cheaper than a studio that I looked at at another place. If you don’t have a scooter, it’s far -- whatever building you’re in. They have 2 trams, and they’ll come pick you up from your room and take you downstairs if you call. They had 2 meals and snacks in between. They have a lady that comes who sells clothing, pocket books, jewelry, and all kinds of stuff. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. There’s fish, hamburgers, and hotdogs. It’s very clean, spacious, and bright. It’s just very beautiful.

Brookdale is not fantastic but not terrible; they’re OK. They’ll bring her the medication and have LPN on the floor, but I think they’re understaffed on weekends. It takes a while for them to help her when she falls.

My visit at Brookdale West Palm Beach (formerly Classic at West Palm Beach) was fine. We saw the two-bedroom, two-bath, which we were interested in, and it was fine and spacious. They pretty much showed us everything, and they talked about activities. The tour was very thorough. We went into the dining room, and I did get a sample menu, and I was OK with it. The environment was nice, and I liked the setup. They were ready for the tour, and they did follow up with me.

I visited Brookdale and the facility was beautiful. But you got to understand that I come from Pennsylvania and I am not having that kind of sparkle, I am more of a country girl, but it was gorgeous. We had lunch there and it was delicious. The dining room was huge and it was set like you were out in a fine dining. It has table cloths, and the whole thing very nice. Everybody was very nice too. The lady that took me around was great. The girl that came to wait on us at lunch time was really wonderful. The rooms were nice, and I saw two different rooms; they were both single 1-bedroom, but one was a little larger than the other. I really do like the place; it has a washer and dryer in your room, which was really great. They have a lot of things, but they have a small exercise room. In the same room, they have two walls covered with backs that they consider their library, they have a room where you can go to where they show, meetings for people to get together, and they have drinks at night. They show movies, and they have a huge pool. It’s a very beautiful place outside. They take you to different places, they have nights that they you to different places to go out to eat, they go to grocery stores, they also have a small grocery store within the building that you can get certain things that look like they might be very important that you might need, and if you have a doctor’s visit, they will be able to take you there. They also have a doctor who will come in.

My mom is in Brookdale West Palm Beach. It is a very nice facility. The staff in-charge of giving care to the residents is very helpful and accommodating. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It is spacious. The food is great. We enjoy eating there when we visit. They have bingo, trips to the stores, entertainment, and movies.

I have been looking at Brookdale down here in West Palm, and I like it because it is cheerful and clean. It looks like a great spot. The other places I saw all seemed very dreary and gloomy in the area where my mother would be. I was not favorably impressed with anybody except for Brookdale. I was favorably impressed with the woman that showed me through the place. She has been very sympathetic because we kept trying to make plans to get our mother down here to Florida. My daughter's father-in-law was in Brookdale, we had several meals there, and the food was great. I think that it is important that the food is tasty and well prepared. But there are more things about it that I have to look into. In other words, I would have to see where exactly my mother would be placed in a facility like Brookdale.

We were involved in a very bad experience with Brookdale. They can improve on the perception of how tenants interacted. It seemed that the interaction between management and residents were not strong.

The sanitation of The Classic was not great. It was awful and unattractive. When I went to the bathroom, I realized that it was not clean. I just did not like it at all. Everybody looked sick.

We chose Classic at West Palm Beach for my mother-in-law because the assisted living buildings have their own separate dining room. That was the main thing we liked because we knew she'd never go to the clubhouse every night for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. She is on the third floor, and all she has to do is go down the elevator to the second floor, go across, and she is in the dining room. Some places charge for room delivery, and as far as I know, they don't. I told her they did because I didn't want her sitting in her room and think it is a hotel. I want her to go down from her apartment and go eat with other people, but they do bring her the meals if she is not feeling up to going down, they will bring her meals to her apartment. They have three meals a day here versus all the other places with two meals a day. The apartments are great. They are big, and they have a full-size washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a full kitchen, and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower and a stool to sit on. She's got a queen-sized bed in there, but there is room for a king size or even two-doubles or whatever. It is a one-bedroom, but it is actually bigger than what she was living in before. Sometimes, we have little problems with communication because my husband pays the bills and we don't live there, so we have a little trouble keeping up with the bills. We have a trust fund set up for her, and it is supposed to automatically pay it and they are a little slow with that. You got to kind of watch for extra things that weren't really there, but other than that they are friendly, and she loves it. It is almost like living in an apartment building complex. It's got a beautiful swimming pool.

My parents are going to go to The Classic. I picked them. The rooms were OK; however, they needed an upgrade.

The Classic is situated in a nice place. The food was pretty good. We know somebody who's there, and they seem to be happy. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very friendly. Arlene was very nice and she gave a very nice tour. The place was a little rundown, and I understand they need a little renovation. But that didn't really change anything. It didn't affect that much.

Mom was at the independent living at Classic at West Palm Beach. Since she was in their independent living area, she wasn’t getting the supervision she needed. My mom has dementia, and one time she went down and saw a doctor there instead of her doctor, and the next thing I knew, they ordered all these tests. I didn’t find out about that until I started getting the bills. She went down supposedly to get a flu shot, and I was never able to find out if she really got one because they don’t keep records of their independent living residents. They couldn’t give me the name of the company who gave the shot. I was very unhappy with that. I was fighting constantly with their housekeeping with regards to cleaning. Those were kind of things that I was running into there a lot. It's a good place, but they didn’t take extra little steps for my mom.

Classic was good. The rooms were spacious enough. When I went there, we had a misunderstanding about the time of visitation. They did accommodate me by taking me to the dining area while the staff was available to show the rooms to me. They took us to an activity room, and they showed some exercise going on.

The Classic at West Palm Beach was very nice. It looked nice and everything. I was impressed with the apartments. They were very large and very accommodating. If I was the only one involved with my mother's care, I would have had moved her already to The Classic. They have a calendar of activities. They have activities for different levels of patients. The good thing about it was that my mom would be able to go to whatever is in their calendar.

The person that took us on a tour at the Classic was very patient and she answered everything. I found the rooms to be very spacious and lay out very well. I thought the food was terrific. My mom was interested in any social activities. She liked the exercises classes and the trivia competition.

Classic at West Palm Beach was one of the facilities that’s not too expensive although I didn’t like it. The rooms were small and the facility is old although it’s well kept. Walking by the dining area, I saw that it was nice. I didn’t see any activity when I went there, but they do have an activity room. Based on the price, I think they need to upgrade it.

We chose Classic at West Palm Beach because of the quality of the rooms and the location is right where we live. The room we got for mom is better than the others. From my perspective though, the room was not in greatest condition but they promised to make upgrades. The apartment overlooks a nice pond which makes a big difference and itÕs very close to the clubhouse. The food was okay and my mother liked it. Everything worked together.

I've taken a tour at The Classic and it was a very nice place. I'm on a waiting list for a two-bedroom unit. The lady manager was very nice as she would check in with me frequently. Their apartments were very nice and large enough. I was very impressed with this facility. I would recommend them.

I was very impressed with the Classic. I was able to talk to the secretary named Karen. She gave me a tour. They offered a lot of service. The place was very clean. I love the outdoors because it was very peaceful, beautiful and good for walking. It was private and gated community. I really liked the place.

The Classic was very nice. It was very similar to the other place I visited. The only problem is the location which was a little too far from where my mom and sister lived.

The Classic is my favorite so far. It's absolutely lovely. The facility looked clean. The people looked nice and well-dressed. They did have a swimming pool and activities, like music. I took my parents there for lunch because I thought that was a place that they should see. The food was lovely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The girl who showed us around was terrific. She told me everything. The apartments that we saw were smaller than my parents are used to, but they understand that when they do this kind of move, they're going to be smaller. We looked at two-bedroom and one-bedroom apartments. My parents won't be considering their two-bedroom because they think it would be too much for them. The one-bedroom was terrific and we saw different versions of them. They all have washers/dryers and closets, so that's nice for them! On the whole, I like the idea of an independent living having assisted living accommodations. So if my mom needs assistance, she can have that in this facility. That's important for me! Because once my parents move, I don't want them to have to move yet again. I absolutely recommend this place to others.

My brother used to live at Classic at West Palm Beach, which we chose because it was close to our house. I liked it that they supplied his food, which was good and they had a dining room. That was the best part of their service. His room was in a good size with a kitchen, a living, a bedroom, a bathroom and a closet. The also had car service. They had housekeeping. However, they didn't do a good job. So, they need to improve on that. It was a gated community but half the time there was nobody at the gate.

I looked at The Classics and I liked it very much. Their one-bedroom was a little small but their two-bedroom was really nice. I saw their calendar and it looked like they had a lot to do. Everyone was very friendly and I would recommend it to others. They have nice independent living and I thought of putting my father there.

I like Classic at West Palm Beach. The rooms were okay. My mom actually has a roommate and she is in the assisted living facility. It has a center area, a kitchen, and a living area that was shared and then on her side, she got her own bedroom, a bathroom, and her own walk-in closet. I am just a little upset with the staff. She fell last night and they never called me even though they called the emergency crew. She was in so much pain and she finally called me herself this morning. She ended up in the ER. The staff told me that it's their policy that they don't call family in the middle of the night unless she would end going to the hospital. They have communication problems. I've eaten there and the food was good. My mom participates in bingo and they have that a couple of times a week. She would also participate in craft activities. They have sing-alongs, exercises and have movies. They have something for the residents every day.

We first spoke on the phone, then received a tour. I really like the facility and the personal aprtments. They were very spacious, and we were being offered a discount as well, as they told us the are desirous of having 100% occupancy. We asked for an e mial describing the costs, and also what the cost would be after the months of the reduction were completed. We wanted to know for certain what the future costs would be. that was several weeks ago. I contacted them and was told the e mail would be sent on the following Tuesday. The information never came. I called again and was told it would be sent right out. Again the email with financial information never arrived. I then got a call from an employee who told me it would be sent the next day and apologized for the delay. I was again disappointed and that was over a week ago from now. I wondered if they didn't want my particular Mom there, or if there was something wrong with our situation or what exactly was the cause? A customer should ever have to feel this way!!! I am very disappointed because we really especially like the apartment Mom would have had, and the facility appeared to be well suited to our needs. You have to start wondering though "If they can't even follow up with information, how would their communication skills be when we might have a concern to address about Moms care, or a change we wanted to implement. This has been completely unsatisfactory and we haven't even gotten in the door so to speak! They were very encouraging and informative in person, so what the heck? I am at a loss to understand their behavior at this juncture, and needless to say, If Moms need to move have been pressing we would have tally been up a creek with them!!!!!

Classic West Palm is a very lovely place and the staff there is terrific. There were eight buildings on fifteen acres. But their buildings are six stories high with elevators. I don't like heights and I don't like a crowd of people. I saw too many people there. I use a walker and I don't want to have to walk five hundred yards to get to the dining hall. Just my stand point of view and not the facility because the facility is beautiful, it's just me because I just don't want to be with all those people, I'll have to give them a 1 for me. There was a terrific lady there, they spent a lot of time with us and showed us around. Like I said, it's just too big.

I visited some friends at the Classic. At that time, they were afraid to take anybody that was in a wheelchair for fear they will become too dependent. I tried to have them take a friend who was a full polio patient, but was extremely independent, and they did not want her there. But, it has changed a lot and they don't do that anymore. I've got another friend in there, and she likes it. They have a good location, beautiful grounds, a lot of activities, and the food is good.

My mom used to stay at the Classic at Brookdale. The nursing staff was outstanding. All of the support staff was very good. My mom was actually very happy with the food there. It was excellent. I loved to have lunch there with her. The apartment she had was very big and spacious. It also had a nice porch. I would recommend this facility.

The staff was very friendly and cheerful. They seemed to be people that really cared. I could tell by their attitude that they weren't just there to make a paycheck, they were there to make a difference. The homes were also very nice and many options in styling are available. My grandfather speaks mostly Portuguese so there was a slight language barrier , however they do have a few Hispanic caregivers which is useful in my community due to the large amount of Hispanics living here. My favorite thing about the whole place was the greenery and the aesthetic value of the place. This facility provides everything an older person needs and in addition provides entertainment.

The price is also reasonable but a little on the high side at $2000 a month. My grandparents decided assisted living was not necessary for them yet but my grandfather says that if one day it is necessary to live in a place with 24 hour care that "The Classic" is definitely for him.

The facility is beautiful inside and out. Each room is phone ready and has a kitchenette, an emergency call system, grab bars, and temperature controls. The major dining room has a vacation style theme to it with white linen and sophisticated wicker chairs. The entire facility has a laundry, patio, pharmacy, parking; there are guest rooms, guest meals, room service and computer available for use. The customer service I observed there was decent as well. The day I went there on the tour, the staff were very kind and the area including all staff were so clean! Pets are also allowed!
