This facility has gone down hill. They no longer supply 24hr nursing care. They are extremely understaffed at all times. Residents are left with little to no daily care.

Great facility!!!! My dad has been living there for a few years and they are taking very good care of him. Rooms are nice and are kept clean; they have a private bathroom. He loves it! Tammy is awesome, she is like a daughter to my dad. The facility is clean and very well maintained. They have a lot of activities to keep the residents busy. If he needs anything, all he needs to do is go and see Tammy and she takes care of it right away. If something comes up they are quick to contact me and keep me informed.

Summerfield Suites was great. The residents were very alert, not drugged up or walking around like zombies. The people running the place were absolutely wonderful. The ladies were having their dinner in the dining room and all of them were asking me if they could help me. They were happy with where they were at. The food looked good. The staff member during the tour and her husband were absolutely gracious. There were lots of places outdoors for my mom to do some gardening, and it's all enclosed. The whole place surrounds the garden, and there are benches out there. It's a really lovely place. It's very simple and nice, and they were all so helpful. My mom has no furniture right now, but they have some extra furniture and maintenance at hardly any cost at all. It's very homey and it impressed me. It wasn't a huge place and they work with them individually. All the doors were locked except for the front door. They're watching the residents all the time.

This facility was recently sold and changes are coming fast and staff is fleeing. Wages are being reduced, staff cut backs and new younger staff is inexperienced. Time will tell if they can maintain the reputation they once had, in the meantime some residents are feeling uneasy. There's been a great maintenance man there that keeps the place going. Meals are generally OK ( we all have are own likes and dislikes). Unfortunately profits dictate how resources are spent and I can't think of another industry where worker appreciation is paramount and of the utmost importance as when it comes to the caring of our elderly population. Oh yes, they've maintained a nice little salad bar with lunch and dinner, hope they keep it up.
