"I like the fact that there are many people at The Barrington Senior Living. They have so many things, there are choices at lunchtime, and there is a menu in the evening. They come in and vacuum, but my brother does his own pills there. The food is excellent. The amenities are great. It seems like there is a bus service. The staff is friendly. There's a wide range of things you could do. They have poker, and a 4:00 social hour where you can have a cheap glass of wine. I thought the whole thing had a wonderful, open, good atmosphere, and it was nice. The public areas were wonderful. However, it was a little bit old. In terms of activities, I enjoyed the grand piano that the lady played in the entry area. I saw that there were exercise classes that interested me. I think they had a book club or something on books there. They had poker and billiards, maybe."

"We toured Elison Senior Living Community of Pinecrest. It was beautiful. It was like living in a nice apartment complex. It had a great restaurant. We could see people going in there to eat. Jennifer was amazing. She reached out to me again and said, I see you're going to come and tour us again. So she's given me a call and we've been talking. It was very nice and clean. It might be a little difficult for my dad to get around if he decides to go there right at first until he memorizes his way to get there. The lobby was beautiful, and where we toured was beautiful. He was looking at a studio at that point, and it was super nice. We only saw a little studio and it was tiny, but my dad doesn't really need much more than that."

"My mom moved to Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge. They specialize in memory care and offer a wide range of activities. They have two sets of activities going on, tailored to what you feel like doing. They always have things going on, whether it's somebody telling stories, bingo, or exercise. It's a fun environment. I think each month, they celebrate a different country, so they have somebody talk about it. It's a good place. My mom loves the food. They have huge portions, and she's been very happy with that. The staff is very good. I've seen that they're caring, compassionate, and trained. They don't use staff from third parties, so it's all their employees, which makes a huge difference."

"The Goldton at St. Petersburg was my favorite out of every single one that I saw. Adrian was very knowledgeable about everything. He knew what was going on. He was very pleasant. That was my number one place. Since my father can get Medicaid, then I will be able to put him maybe into that place. There were people on the floors, which was nice. There were med people and charge nurses on each floor that we went to. The dining room was beautiful inside. The place smelt clean. It was nice. My sister and I both liked that place a lot."

"Everyone at Cabot Cove of Largo seemed pretty happy there, and the residents seemed happy too. The staff giving us the tour was very nice. It was all on one floor where I don't think my dad would get very confused with finding his room. It included furniture, which is nice because I don't know about Dad's furniture going into a new place. Everything was furnished there. The rooms were nice and private. I noticed from touring that a lot of the residents would look at you and be curious about you, but everybody here at Cabot Cove said, "Hello. How are you?" They seemed free to run around, so I liked the feel of it. The staff who gave the tour was amazing. She was very personable and very friendly. She answered all our questions. Everybody seemed to like her and know her. As for the facilities, everything looked like it was brand new. The rooms were small, but it's enough for my dad. He just needs a room, a bathroom, and a closet, so it would be fine. I like that basic cable and housekeeping were included too."

"Seasons Largo is very clean. The staff are nice. One of the things that I was looking for was a place that had its own staff and did not use an agency, so that was important to me. The rooms are all private. They're small. There are no refrigerators, but they have snacks out all day. They have fruits and then they have candy that they give out at bingo. When you win, they get little candy bars. My mother says the food is very good. They do bingo three times a week. They have some kind of music twice a week. I've been to one of them where the guy was playing the guitar and was singing. He was very familiar with the residents and stuff. And then, of course, they have church services and trivia during the day. With regards to value for money, they are comparable to a lot of other places that I looked at. "

"I toured the Lake House for my mom. The staff who showed me around was very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. She's very knowledgeable about the current and the history of the place. She is very sweet, very informative, easy to speak with, and receptive to all questions. The place was very, very nice. It was very well-mannered and well-kept. Everything was neat and clean. They have different floor plans for the rooms, which I haven't seen that many options. The call bell system was pretty cool. The way the residents are involved with the chef in determining upcoming meals, what they liked, and what they didn't like was pretty cool. They have a beauty salon, and if we opt to place my mom there I will be able to bring my dogs in to visit her because two of the three of them have bonded with their grandma. And the staff said it would be no problem. I just can't take them in the dining room, which I completely understand that, and wouldn't anyway."

"When you come into American House St. Petersburg, it is very welcoming. The place smells good and it's visually very pleasing. Everybody takes the time to help you. I spoke with a lady named Theresa. She is top-notch and very welcoming. She took the time to answer all my questions. In comparison to other communities, they have better ratios of patients to caregivers. Although it's more expensive, it's definitely worth it. They have a patio and an area where they do activities. They have many different seating areas where they can get together, whether it's by a fireplace or something to watch or just conversation-wise. They have hair salons available and many different doctors come in, from podiatry to general care. I was very surprised by that. The facility is brand new. They finished building it in 2021, and they're not in a flood zone."
