Rooms are spacious with nice views and accommodations. The entire facility was designed not only to provide spacious rooms but wide hallways and corridors throughout the complex. Over the years I have visited, the Staff has always been very courteous, professional and helpful. And they listen to the residents. The Christmas dinner I attended there yesterday was like being in a very nice restaurant in setting and especially all the food which could have easily passed for a gracious Thanksgiving meal.

Ashton Place is unique and special, because the people who work there are unique and special themselves. The owner, Paul, is an amazingly compassionate individual who is almost always at the facility and can often be found in the midst of the busiest area. Also, he is a nurse and can, therefore, relate to physical limitations and special needs. The staff at Ashton Place is made up of some of the most dedicated individuals I have ever met. They are never too busy to stop and answer a question or address a need, and they always step up to help even when an issue is outside their particular area. A front office administrator often can be seen putting down paperwork and running to assist a resident trying to walk to the front patio. A nurse can be seen having a warm chat with a patient. Housekeeping is outstanding and makes the effort to be nurturing and sweet. Everyone cares! When I asked our family member to name something he liked beside all the special people, he said, "The food is really, really good!" Another thing that meant a lot in our situation is knowing that our family member will be able to remain in the same room in the same facility even as his health declines and his needs increase. He will not have to go to a different "unit" or have different caretakers but can remain where he is comfortable with all things familiar. I could not be more grateful for Ashton Place!

I would HIGHLY recommend Ashton Place to anyone seeking a facility that truly goes above and beyond for their residents. After several stays at other rehabs and assisted living facilities, we needed to find a facility which could provide a higher level of care for my dad as his health continues to decline. After several recommendations, we were so unbelievably delighted and happy to find Ashton Place. The level of care and compassion my dad receives from the owner, Paul, and his entire staff is truly unmatched. They are so kind and patient with him and we could not have dreamt of a better match for him. The facility is bright, cheery and clean and simply a wonderful place for my Dad. We are so thankful and grateful to know he's receiving such excellent care.

Ashton Place took very good care of my Mother Lillian for 5 years. She had dementia and the last few years was confined to a wheelchair and not the easiest person to handle. I lived out of town and went to visit her as much as possible when I could take time off from work. The place was always clean and staff was always friendly and caring to the residents. Most residents were in the same if not worst condition as Mom and always staff seemed caring to all.

My mom was at Ashton Place only for 3 months before she passed. She loved the residents and the care she was provided by a loving staff. It was difficult as a Daughter choosing a facility for Mom, but we made the right choice. Paul, Rayna, Karen, Ebony, Jessica and many others ... thank you for all you did for my Mom 🤗. Will always be grateful🙏

My sister, Margaret, has been a resident of Ashton Place for almost 2 years. The transition from living on her own to moving into Ashton Place was very difficult. However, due to the help, attention and caring from the staff and owner, Margaret has settled in. The support and attention that Margaret has received from them is above and beyond - not to mention the support I myself receive from them. To anyone who may be looking for an assisted living for a family member, please do visit Ashton Place.

I had a long involved surgery this May. As my condo is on the second floor, I could not return for a while and my recovery was too involved for close family to handle. So we were familiar with Ashton Place as our father stayed there years ago and was well taken care of! So thought I would give it a try. Well was I glad I did. The staff treated me like a princess. They were so kind and helpful. My room was large and easy to get around in. Paul the owner was very accommodating when I asked to stay longer. Harry the head nurse even took me to some doctor appointments! As I am not a morning person, the sweet aides would bring a breakfast tray each morning to me. They check on you throughout the day to see if you need anything. They clean your room every other day. Those 2 girls are wonderful by the way. The food was good. They have activities you can partake in and entertainment from time to time. So I feel it's just not for elderly people. If you need a little rest and recuperation after a difficult surgery, I can highly recommend this facility. Probably one of Sarasota's best kept secrets.

You will never find another facility that has hands on care by the owner and his wife. They are skilled caregivers. compassionate and caring about the client as well as the client's family. Where else would the owner himself drive the client to the doctor, or his wife give manicures to the client. I don't even think there is another facility in town that the owner works at the facility. They are corporation owner and managed by someone else. My sister-in-law has improved 90% since coming to this facility and is very happy here. God Bless Paul, his wife and staff.

Ashton Place was older. The residents seemed to be less active. It was not quite as clean ,and the staff that we saw was very good. The residents seemed to be a little older, and it was closer to a nursing home than an assisted facility. They had a craft room and a room for church. The rooms were quite small.

My 98 year old mother has been a resident of Ashton Place for 2 1/2 years. As a stroke victim requiring extra care, the state of FL requires that she be in a facility with an ECC (extended congregate care) license, which Ashton has. It is privately owned and managed by Paul Finerty, and has approximately 45 residents, with a combination of private and semi=private rooms. One of the advantages of a private facility is that they can be more flexible and accommodating than corporate facilities, which is true here. Paul is always available and willing to discuss any issues which may arise, and tries to come up with an amenable solution. The facility overall is bright and well maintained. The staff try their best to be very accommodating, which given the demanding nature of my mother, is not an easy chore. The kitchen staff in particular go above and beyond to accommodate each resident's specific likes and dislikes, and the food is quite good. My mother occupies a large, brightly lit private room with private bath.

Our mom was a resident at Ashton Place for approximately two weeks before she passed. We had her in two other assisted places over the course of nearly four years. These other places looked good, promised us the world and really that's all they did! She was not in good, caring hands, she was not stimulated in any way and really it was pretty much a scam, Take her money and do as little as possible. Ashton Place was recommended to us by other health care professionals and lived up to all our expectations. If only we would have found this place earlier. Paul and his staff are stellar. We highly recommend this facility for your loved ones. Mark Baughman and Nancy Sabattini.

When my husband first came to Ashton Place he was despondent, and not eating, and sleeping most of his days away. However within just a few days all of that quickly changed due to the compassion and caring attention of both Paul F. and all of Ashton Place’s staff who continue to make him feel very comfortable. And truly this has been an answer to our family’s prayers. So quite sincerely our family highly recommends Ashton Place assisted living and we hope to be able to encourage you to stop-by sometime soon to see for yourself.

My husband stayed at Ashton Place for 18 months. He had a private room, which was spacious enough with one bedroom and one bathroom. The food was also very nice. When he was there, he was active. He used to play bingo and cards. Physically, my husband was a large man and to take care of him took at least a couple of people. When he first ended up there, they had a lot of men on staff who were able to handle him. Later as time passed, these men left and the new help were females and I thought they handled him very well. However, it was too difficult for them to handle 350 lb. man. Although most of the people there were very nice and cooperative, I was sorry that the owner asked me to find a different place because his main concern was, "Your husband is getting too difficult to handle. I am afraid that one of my staff may get hurt just handling your husband. You should find a different place for him". I understood why he said that.

My friend has moved in to Ashton Place and she is quite happy there. It is a beautiful place. She has a private room with a window overlooking a little pond. She is very happy about that. The staff is really nice and helpful to her. They do all kinds of things for her. I think she is in good hands. I don't think there is too much going on in there. There are a few people that are mentally in a good state as she is. I think from what she said that a lot of people are kind of "out of it", so there is nothing too much of a company to do things with.
