It is very, very lovely, and they've got so much going on. I think my mother would have a wonderful time there, but it is very far from home. It's a good 45 to 50 minutes one way, and all her doctors are down by me. The director said, "As long as I'm the director, I'll still find a way to get her there," but what if something happens in her life and she decides not to stay? I can't trust that the next person's gonna allow her to go out of their jurisdiction for her doctor's appointment. It's a little bit more money than where mom is now, by $500 a month, but I liked the girl there. I liked everything about it. They do everything wonderfully there. They do shows right there in their own ballroom. It's a very nice place. I wish it was closer. I would have grabbed that because they called me about two weeks ago to tell me that there was an opening coming up in a month. What made it really nice is that they mingle with the independent living people. It's not always just assisted living people that they commune with. They have a pool, which is used by the independent people, but they have a barbecue right around there, and they usually have a big get-together where the assisted living people come over, and they get to use the pool. There are a lot of different things. They have weddings in the ballroom at times. I was there during the Chinese New Year, and they had performers with the whole Kabuki makeup and everything. They were doing a show for them, and they had the whole place decorated with lanterns in this big ballroom. It was very, very nice. They had a library. It's a very big place. They have a lot of activities to do in one day. I heard their food was wonderful, which is usually a big plus. Their price is right for the extras they give them. They have a beautiful room when you first walk in. They have an outside lanai where they can sit and do crafts all year round. I only met the director who took me around, and she introduced me to one other nurse there. They seemed OK. It seems like they're all kind of in sync with the people. I saw the staff interacting with the residents, and it seems like everybody knows everybody, which is very nice. As large as it is, it's very homey.
