Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living

I toured Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. It looked wonderful and probably is for some people. However, you have to be very social when you're there. My opinion is, if you want to stay in a lot, as you did in your home and feel at home, Osprey is not the place because most of the comforts and amenities are outside of your apartment or your efficiency. If you like to be inside a lot and have your own little space, you need a little more room, like a kitchen with a stove. You need more that you can do as though you're in a home, and they don't have that there. The staff who gave the tour had a very nice personality. The people who came in and said hello to me were all very content and happy. Even the people that I met who lived there seemed very happy. They have amenities. They have a place to get your hair done. Everything you need is there. The thing that is not there for me is personal space. There isn't quite enough living space. Other than that, if you're an outgoing person, it's a good place. I haven't had the food, but it looks like they try hard to make mealtimes really good. The dining area looked good. You would like it there because you would have that dining out feeling. They need to improve their physical living space, though. The space where I would live is too small. It's a preference thing. It's whatever you like, but I need a little more space. I have to have a kitchen, a full bathroom, and a dining area, and they didn't have that.

I toured Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. They had a pool, a gym, and a movie theater. Everything was okay. They had a guest suite where if you have people come to visit you, they could stay in the facility with you but in a different room. The person who took me around wasn't the most personable, but she became more friendly as we progressed with the tour. The facility was clean, but other than that, nothing caught my eye.

My husband and I liked the Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. We had lunch there and met some people living there who were very friendly. I wasn't really comfortable with the girl who took us around so that's why I wanted to go back and see the person who we had talked to one other time when we just drove by there. I felt like he might give us a little bit more information. I think she said she was afraid to overload us with a lot of information. Another problem is that they also didn't have assisted living. Independent living is the only thing they have. We did feel comfortable there, though, and I could have easily moved there, as long as it was something that wasn't expensive and we could afford it. The place was nice and clean, the food was good, and everybody that we talked to was very nice. What they offered, I thought, was very nice, too. They even had a kitchen there if you wanted to go and make something special. I also felt comfortable there. We had lunch and I thought the food was very good. They served us well.

I like that Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living is independent. You can eat when you want. There's no set schedule for the meals. The apartments are a good size. They're over 1000 square feet. The staff we dealt with was very nice. They were very helpful. The facility was nice. The food wasn't that impressive. It may have been an off day.

I am moving to Osprey Heights Gracious Retirement Living. What I like best is its location, the people who run and manage the property, and the physical plant. The staff were all wonderful. I can't say enough good things about them. The architecture is superb and ideal. Of all the places I visited, they offered the most activities, so I was most happy with that. They had two buses there and they were always going and moving. They go around shopping, going to doctor's offices, medical appointments, pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens, or off to the movies. They had a lot of activities that you could choose from, which was wonderful.
