"I am a resident of Palagio Senior Living. I'm now in independent living. I was in assisted living when I first came in here because I had surgery. We have a courtyard in the back with a gazebo and individual places to sit. There's also a place for the dogs to go to the bathroom. It's got everything. Parking is out front, and you don't walk ever- you just cross the parking lot near the house. You have a microwave and a full-size refrigerator. There's also a TV that's hooked up to cable. There are activities all day, 7 days a week. We have a library, too. The other day we made flowers. They have bingo, puzzles, and singing. There are also church services. Plus, they have movies and popcorn once a week. They have a little bit of everything. We have two choices at each meal on what we want to eat. It's only three years old. They're pricing themselves out of my budget, but it's worth every penny. You will love it here. There's only one closed door and there's no other way to get in. Each hall is separate and there's a door for each hall. You come in the front door, and then you go to the floor you need, that's it. We have a barber shop and a beauty shop. The lady comes in on certain days, and you make the appointment. We have an activities room and a pool table. They do our laundry once a week, but if you want to do your own laundry, there are facilities on the second floor. This place is beautiful. The assisted and independent lived together, while the memory place is found on the first floor in a wing that keeps them a little more protected."

"We toured recently and decided that this was the place for mom. It was alive and vibrant, music playing in the lobby, there was laughter and smiles everywhere. I did get a chance to talk to some of the staff and they told me that the place has seen such a change in the atmosphere lately. It is under new management and it has made quite the difference in the residents and staff. It was nice to meet the manager and get his direct line cell number. I was told all the residents and families have his direct line and the management can be reached any time. This is not something you would expect to hear from the boss. This was the deciding factor for us. Communication is so important. "

"I moved to Wyndham Lakes several months ago. What I like the most about the place are the residents. I know 3 of them and we all play cards every afternoon. There are things like bingo, they've got a beauty parlor or salon. The dining room is large. The place is large with a lot of buildings, and most of the rooms have patios. They keep it pretty well clean and the staff is friendly. They serve us a lot of chicken but they hardly serve any legs."

"I toured The Addison of Oakleaf. Carly was the person I worked with. She was very knowledgeable about the area and very easy to work with. The size of the rooms was nice, with more than enough room for somebody who was single and staying there by themselves. It's really nice. It was all clean, and there was no bad smell or anything like going to a nursing home or places like that. There was no smell at all. There was a smell, but it smelled good, like it was fresh. The dining area was nice. It was clean, and everything was good. The people there seemed like they enjoyed it. The parking has plenty of space."

"I loved Starling at Nocatee Assisted Living and Memory Care. It was very clean, very well laid out, and there were lots of activities for the residents. The apartments were nice. It had walk-in showers and were very well thought out. It was relatively new and I just really enjoyed it. I liked their medication management capabilities and that they were willing to go above and beyond what was needed. I was very, very impressed. They were all extremely friendly. Everybody was smiling. They have an exercise room and a nail/beauty salon. Everything was in excellent condition, very aesthetic, and very well-maintained."

"Carriage Club is a very good place. It’s really nice. The only objection I had to it was if they had about fifteen or sixteen ladies there that worked for meals, they only had two people serve the food. Like my wife had a little difficulty feeding herself; but when one of the nurses stops to feed a person for quite a while, then everything exactly stops. There’s one person serving all the rest of them. If they put on, say, some of the young high school girls who want to be nurses, that’s the ideal training for them there and this would help expedite things. The kitchen's right there where you can see other things going and all it takes is if someone who could take a dish out and take it to a table. It takes no talent. It just takes a personable person who would like to know about taking care of other people whether they want to get into nursing or not. The food was adequate. It was all good solid food, and I thought it was pretty good. The dining room was a nice large area and it’s all new. It was well lighted. They have a nice counter there where people can sit. The facility was clean. When my wife went in she had a brand new room; in other words, you get what you pay for. She was there for two weeks and she liked it there. The rooms were situated nicely around the dining area, and so people got to know each other. I thought it was an ideal place. There was a patio where they can go out and walk around. When you look at the most qualified people personally and professionally, some staff was better than the others -- more sociable, I should say. "

"Brookdale Southpoint was a one floor facility, which was something that I was interested in. There was not a huge number of total beds. Their memory care unit was secure. They have a shared living suite or a room for two, but that's not what I wanted. I wanted more of a companion suite where the rooms are separated. The tour was still fine. People were very nice and I liked the place. They had an activity room, a library, and LifeStations. I met one of the women that worked in the memory care unit and I really liked her approach on how she communicates and deals with the residents."

"Brookdale Avondale was very nice and very impressive. It had more dining options, and we liked it very much. It was a little more expensive than the others, but it would be worth it. "

"We visited the Grand Living At Tamaya. There were a lot of things that I looked at. The location, it's perfect for us. The facility itself is amazing, really great looking. We were just really impressed. The whole family was. My mom-in-law's going to move in on the 15th. The rooms were so much more above. It was more akin to an upper level hotel than it was a nursing home or an assisted living. We toured the assisted and memory care. She's not there yet, so everything else wouldl be a little difficult to actually say at this point. I didn't meet any of the staff."

"My mom has moved in. It's beautiful when you walk in, and the interior is very nicely decorated. The staff is wonderful. The room is very nice and has a window to the outside. It's nice and bright. They have all kinds of activities; they can go to church. They have music, singing, and movies. They have a dining facility. The food appears nice, and they have a chef. They serve everything restaurant style. The staff has been fabulous. I haven't tasted the food, but it looks wonderful, and my mom's not losing weight."

"We are one big wonderful family here at Vintage Care in Palatka Florida. I couldn’t be any happier! Not knowing exactly what to expect in an Assisted Living facility, Vintage Care turned out to be a Dream Come True. It’s only getting better all the time Thanks to Dianas’ taking over VC & her huge fair, loving & caring empathetic heart, which worked out perfectly as her previous position was our head nurse here; where she also did as much as she could in general management, (although at times her hands were often tied by the previous Director); Thank the heavens above, Diana was tapped for head honcho, aka the Director of Vintage Care. Diana is truly a Blessing! & is responsible for our health & & all around well being. I will honestly tell you I have love for the administration & every single resident here, as they really are my family. Diana has surrounded herself with our wonderful Dream Team of ladies here at VC & of course they are compassionate & care for/about each of us. The beautiful Traci, officially the Executive Marketing Director, (however, she Is the epitome of jack of all trades, is an incredibly helpful & loving young lady; Donna & Angel are sweethearts & Executives who also “Run the whole show in the office, & keep VC moving forward. Then there’s gorgeous Katrina, Executive Director of our many fun & engaging Activities who always has her beautiful smile for us. Recently added to our Vintage Care VIP team is lovely Christy, our Head Nurse (who certainly the big shoes of Diana to fill), & I must say she is doing great. Newly added & in my opinion, a unique yet vital aspect of an ASL, which sets us apart from other Assisted Living facilities, includes our staff also recently addedNurse Practitioner Tiffany & the many awesome nurses who work with her. I could write pages describing my home here at Vintage care & the rest of the Department Heads & caring staff here, but I’ll end with this… Check out this clean, cheerful, & now, a very well managed facility for yourself!"
