"My sister is placed at Sunny Side Living. She gets immediate care, and when she wants something, she gets it. The place is very nice and very clean. The staff members are excellent. Great personalities. The attitude is great. They're helpful and kind. The residents can go outside and sit on the deck. It's bright and cheery. There's a patio and there's laundry. My sister is having a great time. She has her own bedroom. She sits in the main room where the dining room and kitchen is. The caregiver is right there with two other ladies. Everything is great. The place is super. It's lovely. They play games. They watched the Super Bowl. They go outside for walks."

"I liked the people at Brookdale immensely. I liked the nurse -- she was wonderful -- and everybody I met was great. I had actually kind of decided this is where I wanted her to go, but my husband thought that it might be small in terms of the population. It was a little more institutional in its feel, rather than homey. It was a separate fee for each kind of care they provided. They had a lot of activities and stuff; it just was a lot smaller. They only have 30 rooms and between 25 and 30 residents. We thought that it was just small, and what if mom doesn't find somebody she likes? "

"Beatrice Hover is a nice and clean facility. They have a lot of Christmas activities going on with decorations, making ornaments, movies, and card games for the residents. The staff is visible. They have a lot of different rooms you can gather in and a lot of different activities going on."

"I toured Greeley Village. This one was nice. It was very spacious and had lots of room for the people to move around in and do things. They even had an outdoor playground for grandkids or whatever, so that was nice. They had a private room. This one was fully loaded. They could get food or drink any time, and snacks. They had a couple of different menus, so they had a static menu, which was the same every day. They could get burgers and fries or pizza, whatever the normal foods are. They also had another menu that would change with the meals, and they would have two options for each meal. They would have like two entrees and stuff they could pick, so that was nice."

"Brookdale Greeley as very nice and would have been perfect for my dad, if he wanted to go. I like the fact that there were no stairs, so that was a good place. My dad is mostly independent, but they assist with bathing (if you need it) and medications. The staff was very pleasing to talk with and informative. The rooms were very clean and very accessible for someone who can't walk that good. The place was very clean. It just looked like a simple place to live and not have to worry about much. If I was going to need a place to live for myself, I would probably have chosen that place. The staff I talked to was Logan. He was very concerned with how my dad was doing and everything. I think he did a great job on trying to get everything that my dad would need. Everything looked good. The paint was in good shape, and it looked newer than most."

"My husband moved into Balfour Longmont. They had everything that I was looking for. His apartment is very spacious and nice. The staff is wonderful. The facility is very clean. They take them on tour. If he stays, it's fine. If he doesn't, that's fine, too."

"We picked out Courtyard of Loveland, but I realized that my mom’s dementia was too far advanced for them to take care of her. The staff was wonderful. That’s where I would want to go when the time comes. It is very nice, and everyone seems to be caring and supportive. They had a courtyard wherein the residents can go outside to grow vegetables and flowers. They had a couple of common areas, and one of them doubled as a theater area. They had a big dining room, and we were able to meet the chef. It was a nice place. "

"The staff at Lakeview Commons seemed fine. The manager of the facility took me on a tour. He was very personable. It seemed like they had a lot of activities. They had a library and a place where they play games. They have a van that takes people to Wal-Mart every couple of weeks. They go to other places and provide transportation to doctor's appointments. I like their location. They had their own salon and a shopping center, not real close, but not too far either. They have places to do their own gardening. They aren't as expensive as some of the higher offering senior living facilities. I wouldn't say it was elaborate, but very comfortable and nice. The structure is made up of 4 or 5 different buildings or complexes that are connected, but they have different purposes. "

"Mom has been to North Shore for about a month. She had to stay in that facility because it was her doctor's advised to her. But she's doing great now. We never had a problem during her stay in this nursing home. They treat her with care & respect. One thing that I just notice that they don't have a variety of food. But I guess it's normal to have that kind of food in a nursing home. What's important to us now is that mom is doing well now. "

"The staff was very friendly at Mirasol Senior, and they gave us a lot of information. The rooms couldn’t be any nicer, wonderful, absolutely clean, and spacious. The residents were very busy, and everybody we talked to was very happy about where they were. It was very positive. "

"I'm in Loveland House now. They look after you, but they don't do everything for you, which what it should be, I think. They would have you keep in touch with how to do laundry and dishes and stuff like that. I've gained some weight, so food is definitely better than what I had at the other place. The staff members are strict, but thoughtful. They don't have too many activities. Of course, they haven't been allowed to do much of anything. There is a little park just down the street about a block. There are no fences around this building, so you can go around the building and there is a place outside where you can go sit in the back or sit in front if you want sunshine. They normally make trips to Denver for some activities. The facility is really a duplex that was converted to one building and one of the garages is taken out for a bedroom. They take care of the place and they want to make sure that everything is working. They don't mess around when something breaks or goes down. Normally, we do activities, but we have been restricted a lot."
