"Sunrise at Cherry Creek was very nice, but they did not have the right-sized unit. It was very lovely; however, the guy who was trying to sell us was pressuring us. He was too friendly for me.

"I have lived here at Brookdale Parkplace Independent Living for 5 years. It's a terrific place to live. The rooms are spacious and the views are excellent. This facility is 18 stories high, so we have great views of Denver. The activities offered are varied and interesting.
All the helpers and staff are great; they're patient and kind. The employees go out of their way to help residents and to give information. I feel so fortunate to live here at Parkplace & I look forward to many more happy years here.
"
"Heritage Club of Denver was attractive enough that we decided to move here. It fits our needs very comfortably. The rooms are comfortable, and we have no complaints at all with the food. Their activity calendar is very full. The staff are very professional and accommodating.

"We toured Brookdale Lowry. It was friendly, very open, and great to visit with. They were well laid out and clean. The appliances include a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. We tried their meal. We saw some having a flag ceremony there, but we didn't see a whole lot of the outside, like a park area."
"I chose Serenity House Assisted Living for my father because it was not a huge facility. It was a house with only 8 residents. He got his own room and was able to interact more with the people around him. His room was perfect for him. The staff was attentive to them.

"Serenity House was a very nice, cozy house. The staff was very nice. They had a nice backyard and a deck, and they had nice activities. They took very good care of the residents with medications and everything. What stood out was the location, the size, and the activities. They do activities all the time and they bring people in, like musicians and things like that. The caretakers play games with them like card games and board games. They are never bored."

"We are so pleased with the level of care, team members and medical caregivers at Montage Hills. Communication is thoughtful, activities are well organized and appealing to all, atmosphere is "like family". My mother is so lucky to live here.
There are many assisted living residence prototypes to choose among, so my mother was able to select one that "fit" with her existing furniture so it felt like home.
Team member interactions are kind, joyful and everyone has become like family in the 6 months mom has lived there. Such a caring, involved, dedicated team of professionals.
Activities include sports, arts, current events, outings-- there is something for everyone.
Amenities we've appreciated thus far are the shuttle bus (we love the driver); we look forward to the salon reopening. The courtyards and outdoor spaces are wonderful in warm weather. Atmosphere inside is cosy, calm and comfortable with safety in mind for folks who need accommodations."
"Brookdale Meridian Englewood seemed really clean, and the people were friendly. I liked the location, its close to my house. It seemed like they had a lot of activities, chat rooms, and puzzles. I think the original plan was one meal a day, and you can get more. Its expensive."
"My friend is currently in the memory care of Modena Cherry Creek. It is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. The staff is very caring and very attentive. You feel like they're family. It's a first-class operation all the way, including the chefs in the kitchen. The food is excellent. It's a stainless-steel kitchen that's open-faced behind plexiglass. You can sit there and watch the chefs prepare food. They have an open-fire pizza. It's just a beautiful facility, and the food is very good. I have never been in their studio, but their rooms are very spacious and very nice.
They have a lot of activities; almost every hour there's something going on. They have a theater that has theater seats. They have a wine and beer bar that residents can go to, sit, and relax with big windows that overlook the Rocky Mountains. They have a fairly decent-sized patio on the third floor with a firepit. They have a beauty shop, where barbers and beauticians come and offer services to the residents. They have a big van and a full-time driver where they can transport residents. They also go on excursions. They include memory care as well. I think they get those people out; but quite often, individuals are walking around the block.
I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to get him out of his room. They succeeded in getting him out and making friends, and he even has a girlfriend. He doesn't really engage in the activities, but he will be there. He's made friends, and they've done it way more than I anticipated."
"My visit at Balfour was very positive. The location appealed to us because it was in the heart of Denver, so that was the reason we chose this community. It has a friendly atmosphere and there are outside activities that we could go to. We like the park because we have a dog and there's a coffee shop around the corner."
"It was a nice place. I liked it. It was good, friendly, homey, and comfortable. The staff and residents were very friendly. The rooms seemed nice, and the food was delicious. They had art classes, library, cards, and tai chi classes."

"I toured Lakewood Reserve. It's a standard-type facility. They have security there and secured rooms. They have a good place for them to eat and they have some different types of activities to keep people busy. They have 24/7 nursing care. Everything I saw indicated that it was very clean. As far as the atmosphere, it seemed like it was a good place. There were people in the activity room and in some other areas, and everybody seemed satisfied with what they were doing. Kim showed me around. She's knowledgeable about it and understands what people need and when they're looking for things. Everything she was telling me was upfront and she showed me good things."
"My father moved into Lakewood Assisted Living (Reed Street). It's been wonderful. Right now they're just going through some management changes. And so things are just not being done as quickly as they were when he first moved in. His room is okay. It could be a little bit cleaner. But like I said, they're going through some changes with staffing and stuff like that. I know he complains about not having ice. The ice machine hasn't been working. So just little minor things like that. There's no exercise room, but there is a patio in the backyard where they can go and sit. I think they're planting flowers or a garden I think they have back there. He can't get around well. So just having the opportunity to be able to go in the backyard, and they have people there to kind of oversee him so he doesn't fall. They also have a beauty parlor kind of thing where they can go and get their haircut and stuff like that. They have a performer that comes in, they play music, or they watch movies in the big room. He does like listening to music. And I think they even do like book readings and stuff like that. I think the meals are prepared daily. He likes different types of foods. So I think the food's been really good for him there. They're very helpful and they're always there. If I have a question or something, I can always just pick up the phone and call one of them, or even text them. So they're always very responsive. I just think it's a great facility in the sense that it's more of like a home and not a facility."
