"Unfortunately, my father entered the hospital two days before he was to move into St. Paul Health Center and has now passed away, but I wanted to write them an amazing review for their admissions policies and for admissions counselors Brooke and Robin. I needed a VA placement for my father quickly and was being turned down by all of the facilities on the VA's contract list. I was being told that his medications cost more than the VA contract would cover, and that I couldn't pay the difference or bring the meds in myself. When I contacted St. Paul, I told them of my difficulties and the reasons. They said that they were more interested in caring for people than in the cost of meds, and they agreed to take my father. They were wonderful in facilitating his paperwork in only a few days, and were extremely caring during his subsequent hospitalization and death, even though he was never able to enter their facility. Brooke actually came to the hospital to check on us and they called to offer condolences. I was extremely impressed with their compassion, professionalism and caring. There aren't many facilities that put patient care over their bottom line, and St. Paul is one of them! "

"Denver North Care Facility is an awesome place. The Staff is so nice and courteous, always! They have numerous outings for their patients; and their food is healthy and so delicious, it's unbelievable!!!! My nephew LOVES it there!!! "

"My father is at Briarwood Health Care. It is extremely clean, and you can smell the bleach in the cleaning stuff they’re using. It has four floors, it is extremely clean, and that is a real plus. The people at the reception desk, and the people helping us during the tour were very helpful, and answered our questions. They followed up again last night and answered more questions. My first impression is very positive. The dining area is very inviting, with clean, fresh table cloths. There are different dining places where people can eat depending on their level of care. On each floor, you have a main dining area, and different areas depending on if you’re there for rehab or not."

"My father is in Clear Creek, and we like that one very much. We've had very good experience with it, so I would rank it very highly. They have lots of activities. My father doesn't always choose to participate in them, but he has the option. They also have trips. He has been there three years now. The staff is fantastic, and the accommodation is excellent. He had trouble with a roommate, and they made a switch right away. We're very satisfied, and he is happy and comfortable. He likes the food; he's a meat-potatoes kind of guy, and that's what they have. "

"My mom is a resident of Colorado State Veterans Home at Fitzsimons. I know they're very new, but I'm satisfied. It's a facility full of retired soldiers and their spouses, and women soldiers. And that's why we chose that because she's the widower of a veteran and we were getting help from the government. The rooms are very spacious. They're clean and light. She has everything she needs there. The staff is very good. She is taken care of by the staff there at night and during the day hospice comes to check on her. She has physical therapy, music, and doctors. They have all kinds of activities. They have little birds and butterflies. They also have Bible studies. The patients are quite in the outdoors a lot - sitting outdoors, getting sun. Their patio is nice."

"They have spacious private rooms, excellent physical and occupational therapist, and even respiratory therapist that are there 24/7. The building is gorgeous and clean and the in-house coffee shop is an added bonus. I have had many loved ones here for rehab and they were all very pleased with their rehab."

"I was a resident at elms for a few months following a fall with a hip fracture. The staff are wonderful as well as the therapists- I think its a shame only unhappy people go to these sites and vent. It's a wonderful place, and I would go back again if I needed to. I have recommended the rehab area to many, in need and I have always been told what a fantastic experience They had. This is a plce that cares for someone as a whole person....too bad only the angry leave reviews! "

"My mom stayed at Avamere for rehab. Everybody was really good and nice. The place was clean and really good. My mom was in a private room. The staff was very caring and everybody knew our names automatically. They took really good care of my mom. They play bingo there."

"My husband was a resident at Center at Lowry. This place was very disappointing for me. It was very clean, very nice. People were friendly, but I did not feel that he really was treated as well as he could have been. I had been there as long as five hours one time and not a soul came into his room, and he's bedridden. They lost all of his clothes, a whole week's supply of clothing. I did have some of his food, and the food was good. I can say that much for them. Edible, I should say for that place like that. I had no problems with the nursing staff other than I think that they were just overworked. There were just too many people for them to take care of, to do it properly."

" My husband suffers from dementia and entered Summit two months ago. I visit him daily. I watch him with the staff. I watch the staff with other patients. I see that it is hard work to care for patients who do not understand most directions and cannot use logic to evaluate an act. I watch a staff member return a patient to his or her chair five to six times while getting ready for a meal. Sometimes the staff dances a little with the patient while leading the patient to the chair. It makes the act a pleasure. When I ask staff about my husband's day that has happened so far they answer with detail. They tell me that his shower went well that morning, how the blood pressure is for the day, whether he had a good night's sleep, and what he's been doing. They talk with me for a while and since we've slowly gotten to know each other, they ask about me too, as I ask about them. They ask how I'm doing and about my children and grandchildren. I ask about their lives outside of work. We are becoming a part of the community, which I value, since I have given these professional people the trust for my husband's care. In the two months I have been coming to this good place, I have seen an incredible amount of kindness and respect along with professional approaches given to my husband and the other patients. I feel very lucky that there was one bed available when we needed it. I believe that this facility follows the quote by the Buddha: "Life is so very difficult. How can we be anything but kind." I am grateful. "

"Life Care Center of Westminster provides rehabilitation services that can't be beat. Caring therapists took time to ensure my mom had everything that she needed. The nursing staff were caring and attentive, and when we thought we had a problem with how long my mom would have before leaving; administrators responded quickly, and resolved our issues immediately. Everybody was so helpful and friendly, they all knew my and my families names and said hello every time they saw us. I couldn't ask for a better place for mom. "

"My mom did stay in Manorcare before she passed away. We chose this facility for her because they accept Medicaid. Everything was good, from the food, to the nurses, to the staff, etc. Everybody was nice. This nursing home was clean. It didn't smell like urine. It was a nice nursing home as far as nursing homes go. They only thing I think they could improve on is their parking. "
