It is a little bit larger in board and care. I like the room. It has a private bathroom right inside the room, which I think is good for people with dementia. I found the atmosphere of the staff to be very caring. The owner was very knowledgeable about my family member's condition. He was very caring and responsive. He took the phone right away, came, and assisted quickly. It's secured, but it's not a big facility. They were going to remodel the yard and stuff, so it was in progress.

I chose them for my mother because it's right near me. I like that it's a house, I wanted her to be in a home environment. The staff is wonderful. They treat her wonderfully and they're very sweet, all of them, from the cook to the owner. They told me they do interactions with them, they would talk to them and see how much they remember and stuff like that. They also have a piano, and they're going to have more picnic tables out there so we can sit out and eat. They have one little area behind the kitchen and another one in front where there are tables and chairs where you can sit. It's very clean, I've tasted the food from my mother's plate and it's very good.

My wife has been here. It is great. It is suitable. It is quiet, too. That's what we need, a quiet place, and you can't beat that here. The food is also great. The landscape is rough out here. It is not negotiable for a wheelchair to go all the way around. There are some areas that are flat, and we are able to do that, but it needs a lot of cosmetic work on the outside. The staff members are very good. They're very friendly and very cordial. However, the community is quite pricey. I could find other places that are equivalent in price that I'm paying, but are far more luxurious.
