"I toured Oakmont of Brookside. The people were very nice. They had a lot to offer. All the food was excellent and the choices were good. The availability to get around is good. It's very upbeat, and they have a lot of stuff to do. The director was very informative and nice. She gave us a great tour of this facility. The facility itself looked in good shape and it was very clean. There's a lot of stuff like movies every week, movie night, and they even play poker and bingo. They have outings that they do. They have a barbershop or a salon. It's all right in that facility, so that's great. It sounds like being in a hotel."

"Mom is at Valley Royale Care and it's been an excellent experience. We like that it's smaller, more personalized, private, and quiet, and they're very caring. It's well-kept, clean, organized, and safely built for the residents. It makes it feel very comfortable for them. The food is prepared for them. It's healthy and they're customizing it to their diet. They're also able to do what they like to do, whether they go for a stroll or a walk outside. They can do anything that the resident likes."

"Lincoln Manor Care Home is very clean. The staff seems very knowledgeable. Knowing that the owner was a nurse really helped with my decision. It is a home, so it is more of a family environment, and that's something that I was looking for for my dad. Meals are included. They do a little bit of exercise, they get out and do things, but for the most part, they don't have a lot of activities."

"My father is moving into Astoria Senior Living - Oakdale. He is being evaluated on Friday. I've been there three times. It's a very nice place. It's smaller and it's not so like a hospital environment. It's more like a home-type environment. It has everything that the others have but it's smaller. He's gonna go into assisted living because they do a lot of the care for the assisted living as well. He doesn't qualify for memory care, so he's going into assisted living. They're doing some updates and when they get done, they'll be beautiful. They were all friendly and very informative. I saw some of the dishes and they looked really good, but I didn't have time. They have everything everybody else has. They're excellent. No gym, but they have outdoor courtyards and they have activities every day. They go outside, and they give them rides quite often. They have something going on every day for them. It's in a neighborhood. It's in town so it's close to everything."

"Our experience having my parents in Paramount Court Senior Living has been very good. They serve three full meals a day. They also have their own apartment together with a bedroom, a mini kitchen, a front living room area, and a bookshelf area off to the side. There are two different dining halls during dinnertime so that the residents can practice social distancing. Usually they have a lot of activities going on each month, but because of COVID they aren't able to do anything right now. My dad is in independent living and mom is in assisted living. The staff is very good with my parents; they're excellent. They serve fish a lot of the times, but not everybody likes fish. The facilities are very clean. Usually someone comes in to play the piano when COVID isn't going on. They previously saw an Elvis impersonator. They also go on field trips. They don't get out of the bus, but they still get to be out and about."

"It was very nice, and it was religious based. The only bad thing about Turlock was the weather. They can get extremely hot in the summertime. If that community were located in a different geographic area where the weather was moderate, I would probably give it a 5. "

"What I like about Turlock Residential is the employees. They are very, very nice. I can get them to be here when I take a shower and they make our bed and get things for us. They're just really good here. The facility is older, but it's real clean. Some of the meals here are good, some aren't, like any other place (I wish for healthier food). I think the value of the money is good for me."

"Everyone here was very friendly. Since I was working, they came to my house to do the paperwork, so I didn't have to take more time off work to do that. They made it very easy for me. Everything was very nice. My mom's room is a very good size for her needs. They have field trips, bingo, some sort of happy hour, and barbecues. There were quite a lot of things to choose from."

"Remolona Family Guest Home is very nice, warm, and good for my husband’s sister, who is well taken care of. The staff is very nice and very caring. This is a private place. They do activities Tuesdays and Thursdays, have communion, and play bingo on Wednesdays. It is smaller so it can give more attention to the people that are there, which is why I like it. "
