"I visited, and I actually liked it. I would have chosen it if the other facility had not come up. The big problem is the rooms were tiny. I wouldn't have been able to get much of dad's furniture in there. They might have larger rooms, but they didn't have any single rooms. They only have what I would call a split room. You walk into a short hallway and then there were rooms that were split off that were not private from each other. The rooms were really tiny that I couldn't get a bed and one dresser in there. It would be tough to get a chair in there as well. The rooms were rather small, but the common areas were gorgeous. The dining area is very pretty. The staff was very nice and seemed very competent. We had some discussion of my dad's needs, and they seem very knowledgeable. They understood Alzheimer's and all the issues, and I think the staff would have been just fine. When I was there, they had someone in the common area, a lot of people were there, and they were singing songs and doing stuff. The one thing that really stood out positively is that it is a very pretty facility with nice, homey common areas. If you left your room and wanted to go and sit somewhere and read, there were nice places to do that. The staff seemed competent, and they really knew what they were doing."

"My parents moved into Astoria Senior Living - Oakdale a few days ago. The grounds are beautiful. There are lots of shade trees and places outside to sit. We've only been there four or five days, but so far we love it. The staff was amazing. They try to get everyone involved. They're there to answer any of your questions. The nurses are very attentive. The dining area is set up like a little restaurant. It's very cute. My mom has enjoyed the food. My dad has to have a pureed diet, so he doesn't like anything. For activities, they offer three or four things a day. They have bingo. They have an exercise class. Yesterday, they had sundaes with their families. They invited families to come. They have like an afternoon matinee. Sometimes they take the bus and go out to breakfast, or on little field trips."

"My mother-in-law has moved into Cogir of Turlock. Location is one of the main reasons why we chose them. The whole family lives in Turlock. And it's very, very nice. She has always wanted to go there if she had to, so we kind of kept that in mind. She loves it there. She feels like a queen, she said. The rooms are very nice and up-to-date. Everything is updated. She loves the food so far. She says it's great. The staff has been more than helpful. They're awesome. The way it is run, so far, so good. My sister-in-law has tried the food, and they said it's great. They've eaten there twice. My mother-in-law has participated in activities. They have made Mother's Day crowns for them for Mother's Day. They do a bus tour on Wednesdays, but she hasn't done that yet. She's trying to get acclimated. I think they're a little expensive, but that is what the going rate is. None of them were more than the others."

"Bethany Home is the place that I would want to put my mom. I know people that work there, and one of my good friend’s mother was there, so I know that it is a good place. It is well maintained and very clean with lots of caring people working there. It is just a really nice place. "

"My father has moved into Golden Haven. They have a barber and a masseuse for massage therapy. Depending on your insurance, doctors could visit there, which is a big plus. The place is pretty big. Also, the director is really on top of things, which is a big plus. I know my dad liked the food, so that's a good thing. They have dancing, and they have different things there within the facility. They have a garden in the back."

"My Mom has been there about 30 days. She has been so different...in a good way. She has bonded with other residents and is actually way happier than when she was aloe at home. The place is spotless and always smells fresh no matter what time I go in there. It was so cute when I went to visit and they have a tree decorated with flip flops that the residents decorated showing summer is here. Too cute !!! Karen the Manager, was instrumental with helping us get VA benefits for our Mom, she took us through each step and now she is covered for her rent. We couldn't be more happier. Mary "

"I placed my wife at El Rio Memory Care, and so far, she seems to like it. It’s very clean, and they keep it up very nice. It’s a brand-new facility, the staff seemed to be very polite, they wanted to help, and they have all nice people there. The food could improve, it’s good, but not wow, or anything. They have an outdoor sitting area, and they have several different living spaces."

"My dad has moved into Valley Comfort. The experience is good. He enjoys it. He has showers seven days a week and twice a day if he needs it. They take care and help him. It is great. The staff members are very friendly. They know what the patients need. They're on top of everything. They're also always cleaning. They have TVs and music. They get three meals a day plus snacks."

"My mother-in-law is in Walnut Grove. The staff has been very good. We see them in action with several other residents, and they are very good. They treat them respectfully, and they do not raise their voice. Before she moves in, the room had carpeting; now it has wood flooring, and it is very clean. She is able to take her own furniture in and make it look like her own place. They clean the place and straighten it up. They do a very good job. They have a room that they play bingo in and watch TV. They have exercise with a large ball. They get the people out everyday to do something. "

"My mom is at Stacie's Chalet. We chose this community because I wanted Mom as close as possible in case of emergency. They have a very clean place. They offer different things at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They give her her medicine if she needs it. So far, I found that the staff is very polite and very professional in their job. I get along with all of them. They go to casino if they want to go, and they play bingo, cards, and piano. They keep an eye on them, making sure that they're OK. "

"Villa Marche seemed sterile and bland. I didn't feel like it would be a place that I would want to stay. It wasn't bad though. They have a music room and a television room, but other than that I'm not sure what other activities they provided. However, it seemed OK."
