"I pretty much liked everything about Foothill Village Senior Living Community. The cleanliness was great. It just wasn't a fit for us. It can only fit certain people. They have a two-bedroom. They have a small kitchenette, though. There's no cooking, just a microwave and a refrigerator. The dining room seemed acceptable and adequate. If you were an active person, you would have things to do there."

"We're leaving my mother at Casa De Modesto because it's affordable. It's really nice and they keep up with it. We're really happy with it. She's in the assisted living. It's not far from downtown Modesto. It's next to a suburban area, but it's also next to the main street of Modesto where there's lots of shopping. They have shuttles to take her to doctors' appointments. I like the community. They have a courtyard, and she's got a balcony that she can look out of. You can have a pet there. She has a two-bedroom for $2,100 a month, and it includes cable and utilities. She's been very happy with the nurse on-call and all the staff members. She's kind of independent. She had a car which she just stopped driving, so she didn't utilize the activities yet, but they do have a newsletter. They just had a band from Vegas that played, and they take them on field trips and out to dinner."

"My tour of Orangeburg Memory Care was a good experience. It was very pleasant. The place was very large. There were some really lovely rooms, however, for somebody with dementia, I could see it being a bit confusing because it's almost a little too large."

"Mom has only been at Stacie’s Chalet for a week now. The quality of the caregivers -- the ones that I have met -- are very loving, kind, and positive, and they seemed to care for each other’s residents. My mom is on the memory care unit, and I believe the residents there can either have a private room or a shared room, and my mother has a private room, so the room has its own bathroom, 1-bedroom studio kind of room. I like their dining setup in that it’s kind of a homey atmosphere, and the food quality is good. They accommodate individual needs as well as far as needs, timing of meals, and snacks; I have appreciated that. They do have a daily activity of some sort, time to go outside, bingo, music, and religious services as well. They are working on communication with the staff. "

"I can't say enough about the wondeful staff at El Rio Memory Care Community. They are all caring and compassionate, friendly and professional. The facility is beautiful and the resident's rooms are lovely and spacious. There's a beautiful outdoor area for residents to enjoy. My mother-in-law was admitted to El Rio over two years ago. She is always treated with caring and respect. El Rio offers a full day of activities for residents. If you're looking for a memory care community in the Modesto area, please consider El Rio. "My mother-in-law is in Walnut Grove. The staff has been very good. We see them in action with several other residents, and they are very good. They treat them respectfully, and they do not raise their voice. Before she moves in, the room had carpeting; now it has wood flooring, and it is very clean. She is able to take her own furniture in and make it look like her own place. They clean the place and straighten it up. They do a very good job. They have a room that they play bingo in and watch TV. They have exercise with a large ball. They get the people out everyday to do something. "

"My Mother was in the Valley Comfort Memory care unit for over two years. She loved it and never asked to go home. She thought it was a hotel. A family run operation with incredible staff. It was a hard decision to make for us but from the moment we walked in Mother was at ease. Beautiful art work and design, music, and lots of activities makes it anything but like a nursing home! I can't say thank you enough for her care."

"My dad is at Hospitality House. He is in the back of memory care, but he doesn't need to be back there. He is there for assisted living. There is a back portion and front portion. The only reason he is back there is because he is in a wheelchair and not because of memory care. It's OK, it's not a bad facility. Right now, the problem with probably any facility is that there are no activities. Everybody is confined in their quarters, so if I have to grade it in the last year, it hasn't been very nice, it hasn't been very pleasant, and I think that's probably holding true everywhere. If it was me, I would have already escaped from the place. It's not because I don't like the facility, it is just that they're very limited now, and they don't do any activities because of COVID. Before that, I think it was a great place. He liked it there and there were plenty of activities to keep them busy. The staff does a pretty good job. Right now, they could do better. I think everybody could do better. Prior to COVID they had bingo, dominoes, and music, they had guests and singers, and they had a little bit of everything. Overall, it was pretty good. Compared to all the rest of the facilities in this county, their price is one of the best."

"We went to the independent side of Bethany Home. It was wonderful, but they had a very long waiting list. The cottage was a great size for mother and had a tiny backyard. That would have been our choice if they had availability. I saw yoga and swimming classes. The dining area was great. "

"My mother was a resident of this facility for the past 3 years. The staff treated her very well and took very good care of my mother. She enjoyed being there. She didn't particulary like the food but I saw what they were feeding her and it was fine. They were always so kind to fix her something she did want so she'd eat or give her the food I dropped off for her. The staff always contacted me if there was any issue with my mom and were always very helpful. The facility may not be the most up-to-date but it was a decent place that was decently priced and I have no regrets with my mom's stay there. She was happy and safe. "
