My dad is in Sunset Manor. So far, things seem to be working really good. They're very nice, and they try to accommodate us as much as possible. We chose them because they have a lot of really good reviews, and my dad wanted to live a little bit closer to my sister. When I talked to the admissions lady, she's been text messaging me back and forth personally on her private cell phone. I like that she was messaging me personally, to make it easier for me to make sure that he gets in the facility. The nurses call me whenever something happens with my dad; that way I know what's going on. Right now, because of COVID, we have to make an appointment to go visit. Then we have to sometimes have an outside visit. They make sure that we're all comfortable before they just walk off to give us privacy. They're very friendly, nice, and very accommodating. He's not complaining about the food, and he sometimes even gets seconds. They have activities; but because of his physical therapy, he has to wait to do some of that stuff. He has a roommate that he's been talking to and gets along with. It is a little bit difficult to get into the visiting area right now. I don't know if they will keep it like that permanently or if it's just because of COVID. You have to be buzzed in through the driveway gate. There's so much waiting and waiting. The place is very clean (from what I saw), and it looks comfortable there. My dad really seems happy.

The care that was given for my husband at Sunset Manor was good, he got better. The staff were friendly. There are three people in the room, and the facility is clean.
