"We toured Waterstone on Augusta. What I liked about it was, number one, it was a newer facility. Number two, the care that we saw exhibited there seemed excellent. The people there were very accommodating. The facility itself was excellent, very clean and sanitary. There were lots of activities for the senior adults to get involved in, and the people there were just extraordinary."

"The tour at Harmony at Five Forks was good. The facility's layout is very good and very clean. The staff was very good, the dining area looked nice, and I noticed their amenities. One thing I don't like about it is that it has an oversized kitchen in every room, and the kitchen is not needed. It takes up the biggest part of the room, you have like 20 kitchen cabinets, and you don't need a single one. The bedrooms cannot hold two beds, even two twin beds, so the room layout is not good. The units are not laid out right. Who needs a huge kitchen when no one's cooking. I only saw two staff members, and they looked competent."

"Brookstone Terrace of Simpsonville was very clean. The tour guide was very good in explaining things. The only thing I was uncomfortable with is that the memory care resident is mixed in with the regular population resident, but it is a smaller facility, so they are able to handle that well. It had a physical therapy and occupational therapy room available, and an outdoor area."

"The rooms are roomy and the families are aloud to decorate and bring things from the residences home. A little advice a single serve coffee make would be the best for fire safety reasons. Also make sure you have prescriptions for over the counter items like lotions, pain rubs, vitamins, hair pump hair spray, powders, vicks, and vaseline. Basically items that your love one can use on their on. The staff is pleasant and are willing to hear any compliance or suggestions. The residents enjoy BINGO and van outings the cooking classes are always a treat for them because eating the food is always involved. There are activates going on all day, its like being on a all inclusive vacation. In side it looks like a 5 star hotel. For the dog loves they are welcome. For Dr. visits they have a few days a week where they provide transportation. My sisters and I enjoyed the meals when we eat there. "

"It was absolutely beautiful. Everybody that I met was just wonderful. I loved it. They were just nice. The people seemed very happy and everything just great to me. The rooms were good sized. It felt like I was at home. It felt open and fun. I was so impressed. They have a game area and a place to have little get-togethers and little parties and things like that."

"My aunt was at The Willows of Easley for several years. The facility was very nice. The staff, so far, was nice and respectful. I think they had good programs for activities. The rooms were nice. The dining area was nice. "

"I decided to go with Rosecrest Retirement Community for my husband. The community looked wonderful. Everything looked clean and inviting. The staff who assisted me was very pleasant and nice. The rooms were nice and clean."

"Brookstone Terrace of Woodruff looked nice. It's smaller, so more for my husband to be looked after. They were all very, very friendly. They have activities for the residents. They have home-cooked meals. You can get a furnished room if you want. The room is roomy and nice. It was an older building, but it was clean and didn't smell. The dining area was nice and roomy for people to get in there. When I went there, an employee was mopping and had it all cleaned up."

"I recently moved my Mom to Inverness. And even though she is farther away from me, I am no longer anxious for her care or her safety. The staff is like family to each other, to the residents in their care here, and to the family and friends of the residents. It is the place that if you needed for a loved one but were concerned that they may not get that "assisted living" environment, then it is the right choice. I would want to live here when the time comes. It is that much and more for the person living there and for the family members also. My brother and I feel that Mom is now in a happy, healthy, and caring place. Mom deserves the best and for what is offered and for the financial fairness that is Inverness of Spartanburg, we feel truly blessed. "My mother was in assisted living at the Carriage House of Taylors. If someone can take care of themselves most of the time, then this is a good place to go. Other than that, they don't have a good level of care for the mentally disabled. I liked the place, and it was clean; you didn't walk in and smell anything foul. If they go outside, they can just walk away because there's no lock."

"I went here. It was clean. It was welcoming. It was nice. I went on a Saturday, I don't recall there being a lot going on that day. While I was there, I saw some residents visiting with family members, but I didn't see a structured activity being done. I saw a small dining area, and I don't think that's the only dining area they had. The staff was very helpful and very informative."

"My parents were in Windsor House Greenville for three months. They had a large 1-room and a large bathroom. The people were very helpful and it was always very easy to get in touch with someone. During the corona virus they have always answered phone calls and called us back, so we were very pleased with them. My dad has improved enough to go home. The staff was kind, personable and professional. They also had single rooms, my parents' room was the next size up. There was just enough space for a sitting area, television, you could have fit a college size refrigerator, they had a queen bed, recliners, a lamp, table and TV. They also had larger rooms but they were all filled. Since my parents were there during the quarantine, they couldn't do the activities that they usually do. They normally have trips to Walmart or Target but of course they couldn't do that. For a while they were keeping residents in their rooms, at some point during that time they were doing some crafts and parties on special days. They also have a TV room, a library, a sun porch, and they had a lot of little sitting areas they could go to."

"We visited and they were wonderful. The staff member that gave us the tour explained it very well, and went out of her way to accommodate my brother-in-law. I thought the residents looked happy, and the rooms were quite nice. It was a lovely place, but it did not fit what we're looking for."

"I toured The Gables. They were dressing up for Halloween. All of the members of the memory care and everybody else were engaged. It felt vibrant. They were all excited and you didn't see them sitting around. They were all doing something. Even those in wheelchairs were dressing them up and decorating their faces and enjoying the holiday. The person that did the tour was very courteous and professional. He didn't hesitate to show everything, and everything was done in an uplifting manner. The community was spotless. The rooms were not too big and not too little. It was just right. It was very convenient to anything they needed. It's very uplifting from the time you walk in the door. It was more like walking into a hotel on a vacation."
