"We toured Bentley Senior Living. That one is in the running; we like that one very much. It looked like they had lots of daily activities. The facility was clean and comfy. We saw the different options of rooms, and they seemed good. A lot of the amenities were similar to the other places, but they seemed good, too. The staff was nice. She was very, very friendly and informative. It was a good experience. I like that we have the option of doing her laundry ourselves, and I like that somebody checks on everybody, like hourly people get checked on or something like that, which I didn't hear from the other places. They have an outside garden area. It was a bigger kind of outside space that was nice. They have a large TV area, and the dining area was also nice and spacious with lots of windows and a nice view. It was a clean, comfortable nice area. I didn't see any issue with their cleanliness; I thought it was very clean. We even got to go into some people's rooms while they're in there doing their thing. Even the rooms were nice and clean, and the bathrooms were clean. Everything was really good."

"What I like best about The Carlucci Home-Assisted Living for Ladies is it's a home setting. There's not a commercial flavor to it. It's a regular home. It was extremely nice. It's great. The rooms were comfortable. I spoke to the owner of the company and she's very understanding."

"We toured Westwind Manor, but since our visit, they built a brand-new facility, and we were not able to see that. The tour was very nice. It was small compared to the other places we've been, but it had a lot of one on one interactions with the residents, the faculty there was very informative, open, and it was a nice place. However, they did not transition, and she would have to leave the facility. They showed us all the rooms. There were two residents per room. It's clean, and it was a facility that we could see Mom be at that time."

"My mother has been a resident for one year after suffering from a stroke. The majority of the aides taking care of her have been wonderful. The activity director does her best to engage residents in various activities. I do find the people in the social worker office difficult to reach and it requires some effort to keep on top of things. "

"My dad loved living at Merriam Manor, he was there for 2 years. The staff is caring, concerned, and helps with all duties of daily living. The food is good, home made meals, vegetables, fruit, puddings, roasts, mashed potatoes.The activity includes bingo, karaoke, cards, bouncing a ball. The rooms are very clean, some have stained glass, marble fireplace, high ceilings, wood floors. The family room is nice with large furniture and a large flat screen TV, book shelves. You feel like living at home, not a facility."

"The Eliot at Erie Station houses only approximately 100 residents. They offer three meals a day, laundry washed and folded, room cleaned, and bed made every day. They have a chain of command for any complaints. The staff is really good, and I get my meds every day. They'd send somebody upstairs to get my meds to me if they forgot them. They're very good at what they do. They have a DJ, celebrate birthdays, and go to the Wal-Mart or the Rosemont. One of their cooks used to own a restaurant in Middletown, so the food is very good. They have three meals a day and also have what they call the country kitchen on each floor, and in between meals, they have coffee and snacks. Their staff is knowledgeable. This place is very good. They base the price more or less on your income to make sure that you've got money left for yourself. They charge one price for a double room if you want a roommate, one price for a single room, and one price for a single room with a bathroom, your own bathtub, and shower. They have anything you want. The people who work there are very nice and outgoing. They have a physical therapist who comes in and a doctor comes in once a week."

"Elant is top of the line among all of the facilities I visited. I would say that this place suits my brother's needs. If there's an opening, I would definitely take it in a minute. They have nurses, they have doctors and their facility is very clean. They have staff there all the time. They seemed very helpful. There are a lot, or shall I say enough staff there. It's more like a nursing home only that they have more staff yet the residents still have their freedom and independence. They get to have 3 meals a day and get help with help with their medicine too. I also looked at one of their rooms. It was very nice. This facility would be my first choice for my brother. "

"Excellent facility very clean beautiful renovations positive and humble happy atmosphere. Family owned and operated. We loved nicole from the very first time we met her in our tour. She was so thorough and new everything. From the care the residents receive to the small details she explained it all. We could tell she loves her facility. In her tour we passed by very happy residents well taken care of. Years later it has surpassed any levels of expectations. They have our hearts our trust and our utmost love and respect. They make our family feel very confident and safe and secure. Continuing care. 24 hour care. So much to do. Many levels of therapy available right at the facility. They have a facility doctor. Nicole’s nurses are excellent very smart but very caring nurses not your ordinary nurses. The nurses aides are compassionate, kind, helpful and go above and beyond. Large studio like private rooms with 2 closets and a private bathroom. Rooms are very well kept up with as well as the entire facility. There is nothing nicole has not been able to help us with. She’s always there, we can call her anytime or text her. She’s a very busy lady and always gets back to us. We are so happy with colonial manor at panther valley. They truly have it all. "
