"My mother recently passed away just shy of 98. The staff was heartbroken. We couldn’t have asked for better care, a more caring staff, and kinder fellow residents. Our only regret is that we didn’t move her there sooner. "

"We checked Vitalia Active Adult Community North Olmsted. It's way too far out and way too much traffic; but otherwise, it was absolutely gorgeous. They have wonderful staff, wonderful facility, and beautiful apartments. It would have been a perfect place for my parents if it was not too far out. They have another assister building not too far away that is a skilled nursing home, but it's not on the same site. We would have physically had to move my parents about 10 miles for the next step down. They are connected to each other literally through a walkway. They actually have not officially opened their assisted living yet. There are only two people living in that facility right now because they were waiting for their license to get there. Then they have seven others to move in there, and then they have lots of rooms available. We did get to tour it, but they weren't going to be ready for more people to move into like the beginning of September. As far as their full meals, the kitchen was not up yet. The residents that were living there were in the assisted living side. It's a brand new building, and they have just finished building it. They had two people on that side working full time: a nurse and a nurse's assistant. They had an activities person over there working right now. We met everybody that was there at the time, and they were fantastic. The distance is the problem; it is way too far, and it is really in the middle of nowhere. It literally is on the North Olmstead-Westlake border. The problem is it's in the middle of a MetroPark, and there's really nothing that they could walk to to do anything. There's a very busy road that runs right past it."

"The Rooms are very nice and clean. Cleaning staff does a good job for my father. The nurse are friendly and most of the STNA's say Hello when seeing you in the hallways. The meals are sometimes good and great. One of the current "chefs" make too many sandwiches and the chili several times were too hot for most of the residents to eat. Breakfast has gotten better most days. It used to be cold, and the homemade pancakes were not homemade. There is one person that covers when the "Chef" is out on her days off. This person makes homemade meals, and it is very appreciated. The activities are good, and the outings are a big hit for my father."

"We moved Mom to Sunrise of Rocky River. We chose it because it is smaller and not so big or institutionalized. It is very homey. The staff is wonderful, very caring and energetic. Their aides are very kind and attentive. They are really taking good care of her. They go out of their way to make her comfortable, especially in the beginning. My mom is not really crazy about the food. She feels like it is very bland. Her room is suitable, fine, and functioning well. She prefers something bigger, but she can't afford it. They have activities like exercises, games, and outings. She has started to fully participate in the activities. We are very confident that she is secure, happy, and well cared for. "

"This is a great program. I can not tell you how well they do with my mom. She was very isolated before attending daycare, now she is flourishing not only at daycare but at home. The staff is superb! "

"It was beautiful. I want to move my mom to their assisted living because they said that their memory care section will be quarantined off. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They post the menu up for the entire moth of what they have to eat, and they have activities all the time. They have one bedroom, two bedroom apartments, and efficiency. They do not have a stove or oven in there for them, but they have a mini fridge, a sink, and a counter top where you could put your own coffee machine on. You will have to provide your own furnishings for your apartment. The day that I was there, I met the gentleman who runs the activities. He is a wonderful Scottish guy, and he is absolutely amazing. They were throwing a Velcro ball at a target, and then they were doing walks around the circle (6 circles equal half-a-mile). They have a laundry room, so if you're still able to do laundry by yourself, you can. They are so wonderful. I didn't see the food, but it smelled really good. The layout of the place was wonderful. They were doing their Spring cleaning that day that I was there."

"My wife moved to Middleburg Heights Assisted Living. I liked its appearance and the residents who were there. They seem very happy and satisfied. The place is very, very clean and neat. The food is very good. The residents have told me that they like it quite a lot. My wife has a decent little space, but it has everything she needs."

"Vitalia Senior Residences at Strongsville was very big. The food was good. I didn't see a room because they didn't have one available. I liked the person who was touring with me. They had a kitchen where they can cook, they had a dining room and a small area where if they didn't want a big meal, they can go anytime for soup, sandwiches, and salad. They had an exercise area and a small pool."

"We chose Brooklyn Pointe for mom. I liked the cleanliness, the personable experienced staff, and qualified staff. The staff who gave us the tour had a positive attitude and clean hygiene and was professional. The rooms were clean, modern, up-to-date, and new. The dining area was clean and open space and had a friendly atmosphere."

"My father moved into Cardinal Court. We like it. He seems fine. The staff is very caring and very patient. They have the residents' best interests in mind. The food is actually good because I was there with him for several days making sure he's settled in. They have an activities director, and I would see her doing different things with them. They have arts and crafts, chair volleyball, and exercises."

"My mom has moved into Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton. It's beautiful, it's brand new, and it's very light and inviting. When we were looking for places, the staff were very helpful and very responsive. My mom's room is a studio. It's small but spacious. It's enough for one person, there are lots of light and it has a nice big bathroom. She's been there for two or three weeks now. When she got there, she had COVID, so she was isolated. They have amenities. They have an exercise room. They have a theater. They have a library and gathering area. They have a patio, so there are lots of nice spaces. I have tried the food and I thought it was very good. However, I've struggled a little bit with maintenance. When we need something done, it takes a bit of time. "

"The tour we had at Vitalia Rockside - Active Adult Community was very nice. The young lady that I worked with was so sweet. She made me feel comfortable. I had some questions that she said she would look into for me and she also told me, "You can come here and join us for things. If you want, I'll send you a calendar when things go on and you could come and join us." I thought that was nice. It's modern. They didn't have a lobby or a place where people could go outside of their rooms. All they had in the middle of it that I saw was their dining area. There weren't a lot of rooms like seating rooms and things like a lot of them have. They said there was a library on another floor, but I didn't see it. The food was awesome. They offered me lunch. The menus were very good. I had an omelet and it was very good. They have a bakery and things, restaurant style, where you can just go and get something all day whenever you want. The chef is good. They gave me strawberries, and they were fresh and so good."
