"We are thinking of choosing Windham Terrace for my aunt, it's an excellent facility. The staff has been very helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. The facility is clean, they've got activities, they've got hairdressing, and dining facilities and the place was very nicely laid out. They also have a gym, and salon, the place was immaculate and the hallways were very nice."

"The Courville at Nashua-Aynsley seemed more like a home for mom. It is a small community and everyone is generally kind and considerate. It fits her needs and what she wants. She wanted a little mini kitchenette almost like an apartment versus a regular room. They had plenty of activities going on and everyone seemed to be engaged in the activities, if they wanted to. The menu and everything for the food seemed excellent too. One day they were making centerpieces for the dining room tables with fresh cut flowers. They have a social hour every day at 4 p.m. for the residents to go down right before dinner. So, those are the two things that were nice about it. They also have a doctor who visits every single week and makes his rounds there."

"I moved into Benchmark Senior Living at Nashua Crossings, and they're excellent. The staff members have been very caring. They let me do as much as I could, and then they helped me with the rest. The food is good. It's home-cooked food. They have lots of activities. I have a studio, but it's got plenty of room. They don't provide my television. I have to provide my own. My room is very clean. When I press the buzzer, they come within 5 minutes, which is excellent."

"My mother has moved into Greystone Farm at Salem. It was more of my sister's decision. Of all the places that we went to see, my sister just seemed to feel the most comfortable there. They seem to be attentive and they'll address any issues that we may have. They have singalongs, they have church services or some type of services on Sunday, and reading hour. There's a lot of different things that they do that I see on the board. The dining area seems very nice and very well stocked. The staff seems very good. They always seem to have snacks and things available between the meals. The staff is easily accessible and happy to help out whenever they can when you may have a question. It seems quite clean. I don't see anything that's alarming. It's quite expensive, but since this is the first time, I really don't have any comparison that I can use."

"The Giving Tree Senior Living is an amazing place. My grandpa moved there in October 2024, and it has been a wonderful experience for him and our family. From day one, everyone who works there has been friendly, supportive, and helpful. My grandpa absolutely loves his apartment. It’s spacious enough to give him his independence while still being a part of a community. He raves about the food— says the portions are generous and there is great variety to choose from. He’s always talking about how friendly and accommodating the staff is, which has made a huge difference in his experience. He enjoys spending time in the Pub, where he can play pool and socialize with friends. The community also has a movie room and an area for games. A nice touch is the piano in the lobby, for residents to play. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The activities offered at The Giving Tree are fantastic, and they post the daily events in the elevator, so everyone knows what’s happening. The staff is amazing, and my grandpa has no complaints—he’s very happy there. If you’re looking for a place that truly cares for its residents and offers a wonderful community, The Giving Tree is the place. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything they do."

"All American Assisted Living at Kingston is a very nice facility. When you picture in your mind an assisted living facility, you're thinking more of a hospital-type environment, but this was very homey almost. When you walk in the front door, it's very welcoming. It's more like a hotel-type environment when you first walk in, so you didn't get the impression that this was an assisted living facility. In the companion rooms, they have a microwave, a mini fridge, and a sink. It's like a hotel suite, so there are two bedrooms and a shared space with the kitchenette and a bathroom. The staff who gave the tour was wonderful. She was very understanding and attentive, listened to my concerns, and was very reassuring. They took me into the bistro area and offered me any snacks or drinks that they might have had available for the residents. The building is four years old. They have an outdoor gardening area, a path for the residents to walk around the building, and rocking chairs on the front porch. They have a big activity area, too."

"If I had to put my sister somewhere, Wingate Residences at Haverhill is where she will go. First of all, everyone was very friendly. But what I liked most about it was when you went in, you could see from one side of the building to the other. There were no corridors or hallways. The memory care was absolutely beautiful in the sense of the colors. They used bright colors like orange and lime green. Not totally, but with cream colors. And then every person's doorway was painted a different color, so they would know their doorway. You could walk from the very beginning to the end of the building, but you could still see on both sides. It was very open. I loved it. They had a butterfly walk when the butterflies come in the spring and summer. And the courtyards were very nicely done. It's just one white building, and that's it. It had assisted living and memory care all in one building. The staff that I met was fabulous."

"Everyone is caring and kind. Management was available any time of day I emailed a question. Maintenance helped our Dad move his furniture. We had short ribs brought to the room with desserts, and then they brought us wine. Dad has met a group of friends talks about the aids and nurses. He keeps busy, sometimes too busy to take my call. It’s a great feeling to know he’s happy."

"Benchmark Senior Living at Haverhill Crossings was very nice. The advantage of that place was that it's all on one single floor for memory care. Their staff was very friendly. They all smiled and the residents that we saw were very, very friendly to us. We just peeked into some occupied rooms. It was a double room with a shared area. We saw the dining room and the common areas, like the recreation room or day room, and all were very nice and clean."

"If you're looking for assisted living for yourself or a loved one you should definitely check out Chelmsford Crossings. Mom loves it there. Between the room, staff, food, and friends she has made she's very happy. I love how friendly everyone there is. You should also check out the activities, transportation, and how clean everything is."

"My relative has moved in. We like the friendliness of the people that work there. They are dedicated. They have lots of things going on. They have sing-alongs, musical groups that come in, and exercise. With the virus, things are pretty limited though. She's in memory care."

"I went to Ashland Farm at North Andover. I know they seem very nice, very helpful, and wanted to make sure that the people who live there are part of the community and not just living in their own rooms and never coming out. They want them to get out and be active. The staff was great. They have activities every day. Everything looked fine."

"I toured Atria Marland Place. It's a very attractive, clean, and well-run community. I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of the services. I went through it with the manager, who was very good. The facility was nice and pleasant."

"My husband is at The Pines of Newmarket. He tried to escape the first day, but the whole team is wonderful there, and they are taking exceptional care of him. He's eating and doing much better. They keep a close eye on him. The nurse who takes care of him first thing in the morning to help him get dressed has requested that, as long as he's there, she would like to be able to take care of him every day that she is working. They have been so helpful, and they understand that he has his issues. I call him every three days and talk with the nurses. When I tell them things like when he bangs his arm, they have to do Steri-Strips. They put the Steri-Strips on and a Band-Aid. I said, you need to put more of a bandage on there because he'll be picking at it, and they agreed, and the nurse, Bruce, said he would take care of it immediately. They all love him there, so they're very happy to take care of him because he's easygoing. He'll be at The Pines until I can come and get him and bring him back home. It's spotless. It's the neatest, cleanest place, and my brother went to see him the other day, and he could not get over how comfortable, homey, and clean it was. I'm a clean nut anyway, and I have been in a lot of other places, including hospitals that aren't even that clean. They have a good staff, and their food is all cooked right there. If they don't have something that somebody wants or craves, they'll get it for them. They post the menu on the wall every single day for a week at a time, so that the visitors have an opportunity to know what their loved one is eating, and you, as a visitor, are welcome to be there and have their meal with them at no cost. They do chair yoga, and they have get-togethers, and they take bus rides and things like that to different locations. His memory is so limited. I don't know exactly how much they've done with him other than make sure he's getting walking in and around the building, because it's fairly well laid out. For the cost, I would give it a five because of the atmosphere, the seating area, everything. I just can't get over the cleanliness because my mother was in another facility, and I did more cleaning in her room than the cleaners did. Even though I'm bringing him back home, if the issues arose again that I had to find a place for him, I would certainly consider them first."
