"We are thinking of choosing Windham Terrace for my aunt, it's an excellent facility. The staff has been very helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. The facility is clean, they've got activities, they've got hairdressing, and dining facilities and the place was very nicely laid out. They also have a gym, and salon, the place was immaculate and the hallways were very nice."

"My experience with Leominster Crossing is excellent. We talked to a number of residents there and they were all very happy. They said the meals were delicious, and they were treated very nicely. It seemed to be a more homelike environment. They had an outside picnic/sitting area where families can be outside in the summer. They can sit outside, outback; it wasn’t near a highway, and they had a fence up and some woods around. It didn’t look like a city dwelling place but looked more country. The dining area was very bright and cheery, very clean, and they had a number of meal choices that an individual can choose from. They always have a fish and vegetable meal for vegetarians. They can choose a different meal other than those being served. They had different activities. They had gardening, reading, and music. I was very impressed with them. "

"I really love Giving Tree Senior Living. It's not like a nursing home. They have the feel of an apartment when you walk in. Even on the memory care side, it's nice, updated, and very clean. So it was good. Also, they can go from memory care all the way to the end of life, which is kind of cool. My father-in-law could stay there for whatever, but financially we couldn't do it. The staff that I met was nice. They were having an activity in one of the activity rooms, which is cool. It feels like a living room-type setting, but it's an open area. There's singing and music going on. Another thing is, if the family doesn't want to eat in the dining room, they have a family room. They could seat eight people, and you can book it and bring your own food. They have a shop where you can order pizza. And some of the patients there can have beer. They can drink to make them feel at home if they're able to and the doctor says it's okay. But it's coming from their cafeteria, so it's very interesting. The memory care people have their own little door. They have shared units. For my father-in-law, the room he was going to get was a good decent size. Some people can do single rooms, and it's a nice size, too. They have small refrigerators in each room, which is cool. The place is very clean, especially in memory care, so I am very impressed. You could tell that it's a newer facility."

"Manor on the Hill was great. It was clean and well managed. Everyone was very helpful. They had studios and joint rooms, but they mostly had just single rooms in the memory ward. Some of the activities were exercising, yoga, crafts, and painting. The dining hall was very nice and they had a separate one for the memory care unit, but they could also open it up on certain days to the other community. They had a game room, a dining area that the family could rent out for a party, an outdoor patio, and walking clubs."

"We toured Hillsbrook Village @ Allenstown. Everybody that we saw or met seemed to be very happy and helpful. Our tour guide showed us one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio apartments. There were a lot of activities available to the residents, and I liked that. It was a good tour. There were a lot of outside activities as well as a lot of areas for a nice day sitting outside. The one I was the most interested in was the one-bedroom. One thing that I liked was there was an area by the window that had instead of carpeting, it had linoleum. I'm a painter, and it would be perfect because I could set up an easel and paint and not get any paint on rugs and things like that. The staff was very friendly and able to answer all our questions. The facility was very clean and fresh. They had some rooms that were set up as game rooms where you could play cards, cribbage, or Scrabble. Other rooms had full kitchens. For example, I like to bake bread, but I would be interested in a lower-priced apartment. So, I'd probably just get a cooktop, but you could go into these other rooms and use the oven."

"Sunrise of Leominster was very nice. We liked it because it was near our son. The rooms were okay. We like more activities, but they said you could always start new things you would be interested in. It was a good experience, and the facility was very nice. We had lunch there one day, and it was very nice. "

"Visited several times before moving family member here. staff is amazing, welcoming and helpful, move in was easy, residents seem very happy."

"Pillsbury Home is a very clean, happy, well run assisted living home. We found the rate to be very affordable compared to other more corporate places in the area. Pillsbury Home is more of a personalized setting and the staff clearly know each resident very well. We would recommend Pillsbury Home to anyone thinking about Assisted Living. The rooms are private, the activities are abundent and the Residents seem genuinely happy."

"Ledgewood Manor is one of the better assisted living facilities I have been involved with. My grandfather is currently a patient there, receiving physical rehabilitation. Their physical therapy staff appears to be very young but once observed working with patients, it became clear that they are not only young but also bright, ambitious and very well trained in the care they are providing. They also take the time to actually interact with their patients, ask how they are, listen to their concerns and limits, etc. I have been very pleased with the level of clinical care he has received. One common complaint during his stays at other facilities was that not much attention was paid when he rang his call bell...at Ledgewood someone comes within one minute every time he calls. He is also pleased with the recreational activities offered, cleanliness of his room and general facilities and even says that he enjoys the food. The patients are given many menu options based on what they are allowed to have per their medical status and he always enjoys his meals. "

"My mom was a resident at Rose Haven for a number of years, up until her passing. They were so good to her here, especially the administrator, Cindy. Rooms are small, but that is common for assisted living homes. This facility does accept Medicaid. The meals and activities were great. I highly recommend Rose Haven for your loved one. "

"Rose meadow isn't the normal assisted living facility. It's located on an old renovated farm. The old farm house was converted to aid the handicapped and they did a very nice job. This particular facility is dedicated to people who have had traumatic brain injuries and s set up for rehabilitation. The nicest thing about the facilities is that it's a house and each patient has their own bedroom, with a communal living room, kitchen and all kinds of space outdoors. I think it helps greatly that they aren't in a hospital setting even though they are equip ed for any emergency and the staff doctors are on hand for regular checkups and meetings on the patients progress.The facility cares for only 11 patients at a time and I believe the staff numbered between 20-25. The staff seemed very caring and friendly and the entire facility was very clean and well kept.Aside from the regular rehabilitation and special equipment and whirlpool baths for the patients they also seemed to have a pretty extensive recreational activities from inside games and activities to outside activities on the large grounds.Obviously having someone you care about in any facility is never a great experience but when you know they are well taken care of in a very comfortable home like setting like Rose Meadow then it makes it all a little more bearable. "

"My Mom has been living at Carlyle Place for almost two years. I could not be more pleased with her care. All of the employees are warm and friendly and provide excellent care. From the moment she moved in, she felt quite comfortable. It's been a great experience for us both."

"The staff was cheerful and pleasant, the setting beaucolic and the building was charming. I was just expecting a more modern facility, though she was quite pleased with the staff and other residents, not to mention how close she was to a church, for Sunday services. I'll be visiting again later this summer and look forward to relaxing outside with her. "

"My sister is at Ridgewood Center because she has cognitive problems and early Alzheimer's. But I really wanted to move her down to Florida. Ridgewood was the nursing home that my sister had worked in at one time. Everybody is very nice. I think it's a good place. It's clean and the staff seems very attentive to the people. They try to keep them busy with different activities. The room is fine, but they have to go to a separate room for the showers. My sister is not crazy about the food and she complains about it a lot. "
