"After a 94- year run, our mother passed after a life well lived. She left behind a great legacy and loving family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Like many in her situation, the last several years of her life included health challenges, an inevitable decline and the necessity of finding a nursing facility to attend to her needs. Living in Boston/Metro-West, there existed an array of nursing and residential choices. After an extensive process of exploration and vetting the family agreed that Belmont Manor would be the optimal choice. We have been so pleased with our selection. The second-generation family ownership, which actively manages Belmont Manor, consistently conveyed a feeling of genuine care and concern for our mother’s well-being, and that of her fellow residents. The experienced staff (including many loyal, veteran team members) were knowledgeable, and eager to update us in person or by phone. What stood out was the caring staff who supported her as her health declined and how they cared for her with such dignity and respect. Visiting with her downstairs in one of the many comfortable indoor or outdoor seating areas always felt warm and comforting. Indeed, our visits always brought offerings of heat lamps, warm blankets, and bottled water! When our mother’s health declined and visits became more frequently upstairs in or near her room, we were always greeted with a smile and update at the nurse’ station. Often, our mother would be seated near the nurses’ station at a key corridor intersection. Greeting and interacting with other residents and passers-by kept her going and provided her with an incredible sense of purpose! Many of our visits ran into mealtime and to see the carefully prepared meals, hot table servings, and accompanying entertainment, crafts, and socialization offered in the community activity/dining room reassured us that Mom’s every need was met. As our mother’s dietary and care needs became more pronounced, the team smoothly transitioned to the next stage. Belmont Manor’s integration with hospice in her final months enabled additional support not only for Mom, but for our family, as well. We will always be so grateful for the outstanding care, comfort, attention, and respect that Belmont Manor offered Mom throughout her years-long stay. Belmont Manor ownership/management and their amazing staff provided Mom with such a wonderful home and her family with the ongoing reassurance that she was so well cared for and loved. A Very Appreciative Family"

"My husband moved into Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation. I chose it because it has a good reputation. Right now, he's in a room by himself. But there is another bed there that's not occupied at the present time. The cleanliness of the place is excellent. They have activities, they show movies, they have people come in and they have sing-alongs. They play bingo. They have socials where everyone can gather. The food is excellent, probably better than he gets at home. There is room for improvement in the staff, and they seem to be shorthanded. The people that I get involved with are very, very helpful. But sometimes when my husband asks for something, there's a long period he has to wait before it's done."

"My dad was transferred there from Mass General and was very sick. We needed a "skilled" rehab center to care for him. I toured Courville unannounced before his transfer and was impressed with all they had to offer. My dad needed PT/OT and speech therapy. Courville offered all. The staff was amazing and very caring. They all made a point to learn about the patient and their family members. They respected the patients and treated them with dignity. He spent 6 weeks there and was able to walk out on his own! They were fantastic in every way. I can't say enough great things about Courville. Even after his release they allowed us to use a couple of critical items which belonged to Courville until my dad's supply was delivered to their home. All the rooms were cleaned every day and were private. Each had a beautiful window to look out at all the lovely flowers planted everywhere, TV and recliner. They offered group games, exercise and even had a concert! 5 star rating to Courville!!"

"I looked at Greenbriar (Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation), and everything looked good, but it was not going to accommodate the things that we needed. However, they had a rehab for the people who were off from surgery as it is a nursing home. They answered all my questions. "

"My mom was put into rehab at Fairview Nursing Home. It just so happened to work out that they had a spot, so she is staying there. We grew up in Hudson, and it's been an establishment for 50 years. It's an excellent facility. It's been recently updated in the last five years to have the rehab, the long-term care and memory care. It's a really nice place, so we are very fortunate to have an opening for us. My mom is really pleased with it. Everything is top of the line. Mom's only been in there since early December, so it's fairly new for us, but we've had no problems so far. With the Covid situation, we haven't been able to go in a lot. At this point, we're happy that we have a case manager. They contact us every other day, and everything has been bearable. They're very open with us, and we're very happy. The staff is exceptional, caring, cooperative, and totally on top of everything."

"My mother is in D'Youville Life & Wellness Community. We chose it because they have a memory center, and it was well kept. It's everything that I wanted, and then it's probably a little bit more. Everyone's attending to her. There's a doctor and a nurse right there. The nutritionist called me and reviewed every detail, but I haven't seen any of the food. They have a whole whiteboard of activities every day. She can pick what time she wants to do math, music, or whatever. They have different rooms, such as an activity room and a sensory room. They have a mass, a hair salon, and an outdoor balcony. It's really nice. They have everything."

"My father was recently an inpatient at this facility. I found the care to be exceptional. Not only for him but for all the residents. He was on the locked Alzheimer's unit. The nurses always had a smile and took the time to answer our questions with a caring attitude. The nurses aide that was in charge of his ADL was thorough and pleasant with his care. We had encounters with every department at this facility and all we're caring and took the time to help us. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for caring, skilled and attentive care for themselves or a family member. "

"This facility is a dump, outdated, in a not so good area...they have bars on all the first floor windows so to keep out burglars. The cleaning people stand around talking to the staff all day...My parent had the same sticky stain on the floor the entire week she was there...not one person came in to wash the floors or clean. The trash can in her room was not emptied once. The closet door was broken and could have fallen on an eldery person. The food was disgusting and very spicy for the elderly. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone...not even an enemy! "

"My child has resided in Seven Hills at Groton for 9 years. SH is an amazing facility! It is a safe, clean, nuturing & educational centered environment for the Pediatric patient who has severe disabilities and who needs 24/7 medical care. Their days are FILLED with interaction and include a modified school day. Here they receive PT,OT,Visual stimulation, music & art therpy, swimming etc. etc. The teachers, nurses and CNAs are second to NONE! This place takes the difficult task of realizing that there is NO WAY that you can meet the needs of your medically fragile child and turns all your fears into complete reassurance that your child receives the BEST possible services , care and quality of life. There is NO better facility on this Earth! "

"The Elms Care and Rehabilitation Center was great to my grandfather, myself and the rest of my family. The staff made everybody feel really comfortable, even with my grandfather being very tough to deal with at that point. He was there for a few weeks after he received treatment at the hospital for lung cancer. Sadly, he went home and received hospice care after and passed away shortly after. The staff at the assisted living facility was very wonderful to all of us. "

"I'm going to the nursing home portion of The Baldwin because I didn't want to be in a place where I felt I was at a nursing home. It's new. It's beautiful. They have a lot of activities. I didn't qualify for assisted living. I have too much disease progression with Parkinson's. They offer PT, OT, voice therapy, and pool therapy, and the nurse-to-patient ratio is high. The cost is also 50% cheaper than what I'm paying for 24/7 home care. The first time I went, I toured with the person in charge of sales. She showed me the restaurants. They have two restaurants and a cafe, which serves lattes and those kinds of coffee drinks during the day, and some sandwiches. She showed me what some of the rooms look like. They have a community kitchen in that unit for the residents. Sometimes they will make food, or sometimes there are food demonstrations or whatever. They have several living rooms with beautiful fireplaces. They have enclosed rooms, so that if you have relatives or company or need a lawyer to have papers signed or whatever, you have total privacy. That was a surprise because most nursing homes that I see don't have any room where you can go, where it's private. Another good thing is that they work with a moving company. The moving company came to my house. They had the dimensions of the architectural plan of my room, and they measured all the furniture that I wanted to bring, and they figured out where in the room it would fit based on cable, TV, or Wi-Fi outlets for your computer. They took all of that into consideration. They have also taken into consideration the windows when they're placing your furniture. The rooms come with all darkening blackout shades because I have five windows in that room, and it has a lot of daylight coming into them. I have unbelievable views; I have views of 180 degrees. It's not depressing like most nursing homes. They're all private suites. The bathroom is extremely huge. I can get a wheelchair in the shower. I have multiple sprayers, and you don't see that every day. If you want to have privacy, you can go into your room, and you don't have a roommate. The activities are unbelievable. They have a fantastic library, and all the books in that library were donated by residents. They have a huge concert piano in the main lobby. They have someone every week playing that concert piano. They have everything. For men, they have woodworking shops. For women, they got art classes. They have dance classes, gardening, and field trips continuously. They have a shuttle bus that is handicap accessible with a lift for wheelchairs, and they'll take you to all your doctor's appointments within an 8-mile radius. If it's beyond 8 miles, they will still take you, but there'll be a fee for the additional mileage. They will take you even into Boston if you have a doctor's appointment in Boston. I can't say enough good things about what they offer. They have thought of everything. They signed up with a moving company. Not only do they move your furniture, but they also help pack everything. What's going to happen is the day that I move, in the morning they'll pack up all my furniture here and then go to the nursing home, and when I go, everything will be where it's supposed to be."

"My aunt is currently in rehab at Warde Assisted Living. The place is very good, the staff and therapists are very helpful and she's got a pretty good experience so far. They've been very friendly and she's enjoying her time there. She's on a liquid diet for most of her stay in this facility. I saw that they also had a hair salon. She had a fair-sized bedroom. It was a private room. They do a very good job of housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance. They're doing what she needs. The hospital is about 12-15 minutes from there so it's close, there are restaurants within a mile, a church just down the street, and a shopping center a couple of miles too."

"The staff is amazing! They are interactive with patients and supportive of family members. The safety and wellbeing of residents is a priority , and facility is clean and cheerful ! It is always heart wrenching to have to place a loved one into someone else care , but this has been a gift in this pandemic to have a place where my mother is safe and cared for. They try to do as many fun activities as possible. In these very stressful times I have never worried that her care was not a top priority for the staff."
