I am/was a resident of this facility

I was a resident of Fairview Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing. The staff was very nice, and the food was excellent, but the place was full of COVID when I was there. After the first couple of days, they even stopped closing the doors because everybody had it. The place was clean. I had one unfortunate incident with one employee, whom I reported and who came in and profusely apologized to me. I had a private room with an outside-looking window, which was nice. I had my own bathroom, and they kept it very clean. They released me too soon, and that was one problem. When I came home, I was a wreck, and I still have in-home health aides. I came home Christmas Eve, but my family wasn't very happy. You could not sleep in that facility; they bang things in the hall all night long. I don't know what they did, but they banged through the halls, and I didn't get any sleep. I didn't get a night's sleep while I was there. They were only giving me Tylenol every four hours, and I would have to ask for it every time. I wouldn't get it until an hour or two after I had asked for it. It wasn't a great experience on the whole. They need to be more responsive to the call button.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was put into rehab at Fairview Nursing Home. It just so happened to work out that they had a spot, so she is staying there. We grew up in Hudson, and it's been an establishment for 50 years. It's an excellent facility. It's been recently updated in the last five years to have the rehab, the long-term care and memory care. It's a really nice place, so we are very fortunate to have an opening for us. My mom is really pleased with it. Everything is top of the line. Mom's only been in there since early December, so it's fairly new for us, but we've had no problems so far. With the Covid situation, we haven't been able to go in a lot. At this point, we're happy that we have a case manager. They contact us every other day, and everything has been bearable. They're very open with us, and we're very happy. The staff is exceptional, caring, cooperative, and totally on top of everything.

Tell you anything to get your money. Couldn't visit as promised. Mom was not watched and may have been over medicated. Mom was found on floor after being down a long time, to the point she did not recover. Took my dads money for a month she was not there, after we had to watch her pass because of her injuries. Watch the contract real dishonest and no morals.

My mother is at Fairview in long-term care. It has all been done over; it's like everything is new. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. They're very good and everything is clean. The people there are very nice. I was visiting one day and they asked me if I wanted to eat with my mother. They have field trips. There is a place nearby which is called the Buttefly Place and they go there, too. The food is very good. The place is very clean, but the price is on the high side.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My husband is staying at the Inn for 6 months. The Inn is the memory care unit of Fairview Healthcare. It’s a nice place, and the rooms are all private. You can bring your own furniture. The bathrooms are all beautiful, and clean. The services are good, as well as the people that take care of them. However, none of them can make a bed. The food is very repetitious, but they always give them an alternative. My husband lost 27 pounds since he’s been there. We complained about the food, and things have gotten better. They had activities to keep them busy.

We chose the Laurel Place for my friend because they meet her needs. She is an ALS patient. They have all kinds of services, and people come in for entertainment. They have crafts. They have a hairdresser right there in the building. They have a nursing staff. They have fine dining. It is a very nice place. They have outdoors activities. They have big barbeques. Some people bring in their grandchildren, and they have parties and clowns. They have an outdoor area where everybody can walk and sit. It is an excellent place. The staff knows what they are doing. They are very personable and very nice. She is in a place that is caring for her, she loves it, and that's what we need.

Laurel Place was convenient, and we liked it. My mother moved in October, and she seems to be very happy there. They have a nurse 24/7. The rooms are fine, and the place is very clean. The dining room is very good. They have all kinds of activities going on: movies, games, people coming in doing entertainment, talks, and exercises.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The rehab of Fairview Nursing Home was wonderful. They pushed her and got her to the goals she needed to be at to come home. As far as the care, they are understaffed and they need to have more private rooms. She has the only private room on the floor. People who are just there for rehab would prefer a private room, I know I would. We requested it and someone had just left so she went in. She liked the people and they took good care of her.
