My mother was in Sunny Acres Nursing Home for about two weeks. I only had limited exposure, but it was excellent. It was a perfectly clean place, that's what I noticed, clean smelling, everything was clean, and security was very good. It was necessary to get testing for Covid there every time we went, and they were very thorough about that and the people were just very pleasant and helpful, and everything was very good about that experience. I did meet some of the nurses that took care of her, and they were very kind, helpful, caring, very good people, and very dedicated. We can only see her in the common area. A very pleasant facility, very pleasant rooms, well-equipped, and the nursing care was thorough. There were more than enough nurses to give aid. I saw a sitting area in a room where families could meet with the residents. I saw the cafeteria area, but nothing was being served while we were there. Again these are clean and very pleasant areas.

They seem more concerned about making money than helping the rehab patients, they rushed my mom out of there and she was not ready, they twisted her up putting her in our vehicle and sprained some muscles in her leg and hip. She's at another facility that says she needs a minimum 2 more weeks (she's already been there for one week) and this new place is so much better. Don't waste your money just to have you family members sit in dirty diapers and be rushed out the door.

My mother was a Long Term Care resident at Sunny Acres for over 11 years. Although it was difficult to place her in Sunny Acres- it was the best decision our family had ever made. My father and my sisters visited Sunny Acres every week, and we cant not state enough our appreciation for the care and service at Sunny Acres. The best nursing center in the area. Thank You Sunny Acres Team. Linda ...

My mother had a great experience at Sunny Acres during her Rehabilitation Stay in January, 2019. Excellent nursing service, excellent rehab therapy, my mother reached all her goals within 3 weeks. The staff was wonderful, food and activities great. If we need rehab. stay again - we will come back to Sunny Acres. I would highly recommend.

I went to Sunny Acres for rehab after my knee surgery two years ago. I am due to have the other knee replaced and I am hoping to do my rehab at this facility. I received excellent care and credit the rehabilitation I received there for my complete recovery. The staff was great and always ready to help in anyway I needed. The encouragement I received was so important to my recovery. I loved my room, it was very comfortable and had a home like feel.

Transferred my husband here after a bad experience with another skilled nursing home. The care and professional support he is getting is beyond my expectations. He is doing well and I feel he is in a safe place. The staff is wonderful to him and he is not an easy patient. I walk in every day grateful that we found Sunny Acres.

This is regarding their rehab center - if the person doesn't feel feel or is in pain do not send there. They will end up with no services. The so called doctor will deem them capable of making their own decision and if they aren't feeling well or hurt when the therapist comes in they won't get any therapy. Do home care - would never send anyone their for rehab; the night staff especially the nurse and aides were great. Day time it was all about covering their butts.

Was at sunny Acer's for rehab (two weeks ) I can say staff was unbelievely good always ready to help you nurses and aides , also a great physical therapy dept. spent a lot of time with me I went to dinning room for meals and they were very good to my needs . But I must say as far as my room meaning the bath room it was not set up for Rehab Patients after I got into the BR in my wheelchair I was not Abel to see mirror to shave to high shower had no place to put hand held shower head water adjuster never worked , also showe soap dispenser on the operset wall from shower , hand sanitizer up over toilet unable to get it from .wheelchair same as paper towels and hand soap , after getting in bed at night had to ring for someone to come and put out lamps no access for for me to control lights like an overhead light over bed .the nursing staff like I said where top notch I also did nursing for many years and wished I had some of them at that time with me

My father was at Sunny Acres. They did try their best. They weren’t able to recognize critical elements that needed to be seen, so my father ended up in an emergency visit and required amputation of his toe. So I was disappointed with them. What impressed me most was the staff. They were doing the best job they could. They were very kind and caring except for one nurse aide. However, they did not have the skill level needed to take care of someone who was sick as my dad. My father had a private room because he had MRSA. It was beautiful. It was very nice. He also enjoyed the food.

We liked the size of it, it's smaller. It's privately owned and well-run. We've been very happy with the staff; they're very good and friendly to the residents. The downside is, they put three residents in one room. So the rooms, I don't love, but the rest of the facilities are okay. And unfortunately, my mother is still having difficulty with the dementia. She gets agitated and combative at times. They keep telling us that we might have to find another place for her if she can't control her agitation. We liked the facility, but they're just picky about who's gonna get to stay there.

I know somebody whose mother's in Sunny Acres, and they like it very much. My mother has Alzheimer's, so I'd rather that she was in an area where she could see some normal people too and in a mixture. They mix people up and dementia patients with other groups. You can walk around the parking lot at least. They have 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedrooms. Right now, my mother's in a room by herself. It's kind of homelike appearance.
