Assisted Living Communities in Mccomb, MS

"Aston Court Retirement Community was privately owned by a brother and a sister. They had been in business for probably about 30 years. They had turned an old school into an assisted living facility. The place was nice. I was kind of impressed with it also. I spoke probably with about three staff members that worked in the facility twenty years or longer, and they spoke well of the place. It was a bit dated. But overall, I would not have hesitated to put a loved one in that place. It was more reasonably priced. It was less expensive than the other facility, but it wasn't as new and modern. I was impressed by the staff members. I was able to look at a menu, and they had a poster for the week."

"The home was a pleasure to visit. It is clean, the staff was helpful. Altogether a nice home. "

"The Claiborne at McComb was really fancy. They had plenty of activities for the residents and were putting in a butterfly garden when I was there. They had a wine and cheese bar, a movie theater, and so on, but it's kind of expensive for us. The staff seemed really nice, friendly, and helpful. If I had the money, my dad would be going there today. The building was excellent, well-lit, had wide hallways, and was really clean and nice."

"Beehive Homes of Brookhaven is a small place. So, it's an individualized attention. The staff is very friendly and personable. The food has been really good. Each time I've gone during meal times, my mom has eaten up about at least one plate and sometimes two. They do different programs each day and they have a main room where they do all the activities. She's just been interactive with whatever they have her do, which has been great. There's only 14 rooms in the whole site. They can have a small refrigerator in their rooms, but they have a full kitchen that somebody manages. There's also a dining, a beauty room, and a room that your friend or family member can stay overnight."

"I went to look at The Aspen of Brookhaven. I was very impressed with the facility. It was clean. The staff was very courteous. They took time to show me around all the amenities. I was very impressed. If I was to have chosen one, this probably would have been the one that I would have chosen."
